Pi smiled softly as her paws moved across the soft sand. She'd never felt sand before, it was interesting and comforting. Oki and she had not been gone far from the forest, but they were still on their way and that was what counted. She looked over her shoulder, fright slightly slipping into her expression. "Oki?" She asked softly, searching until she found the large wolf.
Her mind fell at ease quickly when she spotted him a bit behind her.

 Oki's head was lowered as his mind swam deep in thought. He hadn't noticed the sand beneath his paws or the direction they were headed, just that the wind was blowing this way. His mind was on Pi. A wolf he had meet in the woods who wanted to go with him. His question was why would she want to go with him? It didnt make much since to the lone wolf, no one had ever taken an intrest in him enough to want to spend time with him.
"Huh?" He looked up upon hearing his name from the female. She had gotten pretty far ahead of him, when did that happen? "I'm here, sorry bout being a tad slow," The truth was Oki want ever in a hurry, he was used to going his own pace and taking his own time and tended to walk slow when traveling.

She slowed her strides and just smiled, waiting for him to catch up. Pi had a tendency to get excited and move quickly, probably why she got separated from her family two years ago. Her head tilted slightly and she continued to wait, wondering what he was deep in thought about. She shook her head, no... maybe he just liked to walk slow and enjoy his surroundings. But she hadn't seen him looking around...
Stop this.. she just laughed to herself, wondering why she was so worried about his thoughts and views all of the time.
She turned to stare at the large waters, listening to the pulse of the ocean. She'd heard of this place but had never looked at it. "I haven't ever been to the beach before... do you like the beach?" She glanced to him.

"The beach?" He said snapping back to earth with a crack. Looking around now and fully aware, they had gone to the beach. The gentle waves and seagulls noise now all sounding in their parts. His paws now sinking more into the sand. The beach was not some where Oki made trips to on a regular basis. It was a treat when he was lucky enough to make it to the beach.
"Ahhhh, the beach is great!" His maw grew a smile upon it. He picked up his pace and darted past her a streak of red and blue. He was making his way for the playful waves. "Come on," He barked back at her playfully, "Lets play!"
Now it was not very Oki like to be so playful but since they had ventured to the beach and all it would have been a waist to sit back and do nothing. A real treat for the two wolves, a day at a beach.

She squealed slightly in delight and started to run after him with out any thoughts on the matter. She'd of pegged him for the more... non-playing type but he seemed to always show her different. One thing was for sure... Oki was always making her happy.
"I'll get you yet!" She called after him with a laugh as her petite paws hit against the soft sand, sending most of it flying behind her.

Oki's tongue hung out of the side of his mouth as he darted about the shore of the beach. He could feel the female gaining speed on him. This caused his smile to grow wider.
"Catch me if you can!" He smirked only speeding up a little not much. He wanted her to catch him. However this fact was well hidden in his now high and mighty tone of voice. The wind brushed past his red and blue fur making it seem like it was almost alive. An enchanting wind for sure. How ever Oki was not following it at this moment.

Pi had to keep her laughter under control so that she wouldn't fall behind. Her tongue was also hanging from her mouth and her eyes were slightly shut so that the wind would not make them tear so much. This chasing game was fun and she'd only been able to play it as a small puppy... she missed games like these.
Almost... almost.. She was so close! And then her eyes darted to the left, water was rushing up and falling back down the shore and it made her even more excited. She almost stopped chasing him because she wanted to check out the water! But then she looked forward again... ah! Now! and then she jumped at the male with a playful growl. "Got ya!" She called, hoping she'd timed it right.

Oki laid on the sands of the beach rightfully caught by the female. His tongue hung out of his maw and his chest rose and fell as he panted. Oki was not normally one to play such silly games really ever, even as a pup, this females innocents made his mind wonder why not?
"I have been defeated," Oki said with a grin that curled from side to side on his proud maw. He laid there a little longer before softly pushing the female off of him. He shook the sand off his fur and headed for the crashing waves, "Lets see if we can fine some fish to bother," His tone was playful and light hearted. Oki loved the beach. Even more so on a sunny day. Rays of light shown brightly on the water making it twinkle. Just like a gem. The wind had even stopped blowing in respects to the two.

She grinned and her tail beat against the sand and she stood to follow him. "Fish?" She'd never tried to bother the fish, only watch them. She wondered what they felt like against her paw...
She moved after and ahead of him, paws splashing into the water. She yelped and jumped backwards, landing on her butt. "It's freezing!" She groaned and then laughed, giving him another innocent grin. "I've never touched water so cold!" Even the streams didn't seem to be this cold... at least not in the summer! Her eyes roamed over the horizon; endless water. Maybe that is why it was so cold.
"Oh.. what's that?" She was on her paws again, following after a small crab that scuddled sideways.

Oki was not all to sure what was scuffling across the sand. Its red contrasted the yellow sand beneath where id scuffled. Oki splashed over to get a closer look at the strange clawed animal. It walked side ways. Oki walked beside it watching it. Then he dared stiff at it which lead to his nose being pinched and causing a yelp to escape from him. He looked over at Pi with a pleading look in his eye and a now red nose.
"I do not know what it is," He had regained his complexion, "But it doesnt seem to be very friendly in the least." He pawed at the crab knocking it over on its side. Its many legs frantically moved trying to tip back over to its correct side but failed.

Pi laughed with out restraining herself, even though she still felt sorry that Oki had gotten hurt. "Your nose!" She cried out with another giggle, before moving to him and gently licking at it. "No, not very friendly.." She said, glancing to it.
She prodded at it's softer belly with a paw and then nosed it back to its feet, before quickly backing away so that she would not hold the same fate as Oki. "Perhaps let's stick to fish... that thing is scary!" She laughed though because it was so little and did not seem threatening.

Oki had also thought the crab was not a threat. Though he did learn his lesson in the end, he still had not had enough of the aquatic life. A shallow pool of water was near that had tons of aquatic life that had been stranded when the tide died down. There were tons of clams, small fish, and even the dreaded crabs.
Oki dipped down and lapped at the water finding the taste to be aweful. He spit it out, salty resadew still remained on his taste buds.
"Thats aweful!" He said still spiting.
