It was night time when Aroman and Blaze the young dragon were playing fetch with a stick. Suddenly, Blaze let loose his first jet of flame onto the stick they were playing with! "Good job, Blaze!" Said Aroman, "Most dragons don't learn to do that till after they're full grown!" Blaze jumped up and down with delight. "Uh oh," Said Aroman, "I see storm clouds coming. We better go home." He picked up his dragon and they went down into the deep valleys where the elves and fairies live in the large red wood trees.

Storms never went into this valley, they would always just curve around it and go away. The only rain they ever got was light, gentle rain falls. It was almost as if the valley was protected by some magical force. Winds were always gentle and only a slight breeze, just barely enough to keep a kite flying, and even that was a rare occasion.

Aroman, the boy in our story, was not any different from the elves from the valley in which he lived. He had pointed ears, almost black, brown short hair, and his skin was as fair as a new born with no blemishes whatsoever, not even the smallest scar could be found on his body. Indeed, he was considered the most popular boy with the elf girls in the valley.
His dragon was also quite popular with the young female dragons of the area. His scales were briliant red, his claws, horns and spikes were bright ivory white, his wings were twice the size of his body, and he was very muscular for his age, as was his owner.

They went to sleep under a tree, each in his own bed of leaves. Little did they know what adventures lied ahead. . .

Aroman saw them coming into the valley, even though he was on the far opposite end of them. Being an elf, his eyes were very advanced and he could focus them well enough to see things far away. He eventually noticed that the girl's left eye (since that was the only eye he could see), was the exact same shade of blue as his. "What a beautiful girl, for a human," he thought. He and Blaze rushed out to meet her, running at an amazing speed. "Hello," he said. "I've never seen you around here before. Do you need a place to stay? The elves and fairies might alow you to stay in one of their tree houses, or you're always welcome to stay with us, under the Great Oak." Now, I must remind all who read this that the elves in our story are not small people like the fairies. Small elves actually are known as hobbits and not elves at all. Aroman, who was quite good sized for a 14 year old elf, was already 5 foot 8! He came to notice that this girl seemed much better formed than most humans he had met. The thought occured to him, "Is she really pure human?"

The dragon he landed on happened to be little Blaze.
Hey! Watch where you're flying! He said with his mind.
It's alright, Blaze. Said his owner also speaking with his mind. "I'm sure it was just an accident," He said out loud, "I'm Aroman, and this is Blaze. Who might you be?"

Aroman thought to himself. Maybe this could be interesting, I could enter her thoughts while she is asleep and find out everything about her, then if she turns out to be an enemy, the council can decide on either keeping her prisoner or throwing her out. "You can have my bed if it's comfy to you, or we could make one that is just perfect for you." Blaze touched Aroman's mind and said, Be careful, she might be plotting to kill us this very moment.

Aroman showed her his bed of soft leaves and awaited her reply.

She had taken Aroman's bed, so he fixed up his own next to it.
He then layed down and waited for her to fall asleep.

About a half hour later, he realized it was safe to enter her mind now. He allowed his mind to touch hers and suddenly, he felt himself jerked out of his own body and in another's conciousness. He was so intimately linked with her soul that he was frightened at first. He knew that she was definitely not human, nor elf, nor fairy. The way her mind reacted to his was like never before. All other minds seemed to naturally resist him but this one embraced him so much that it violently toar him from his own body. In her conciousness, he found that he was in a strange meadow, he then heard an uncountable number of voices, all coming from the trees along the sides of the meadow. Suddenly, he found himself face to face with her soul. They stood still as they examined each other. Though this was undoubtedly her, she was very different. He could see both her eyes now and her hair flew behind her. "Angl," He said. "Why does your mind tear me from my body like a snake tearing a rat from his hole?"

Despite the snarling in his ears, he could not hear a thing of it. He was completely seperate from the world now in this state.

Suddenly, Aroman felt like he was being pulled on very hard. He resisted with all his strength but all in vain as he suddenly found himself back in his own body gasping for breath as he jerked himself up and saw Blaze and the two foxes fighting. "Stop!" He yelled and the three of them just starred at him.
