We all know that the anime is different from the manga, I just wanted to know which one you guys thought was the most altered.

The episode that I though got altered the most was the one where Inu Yasha saves Kikyou from the soul skimmer Naraku sent to kill her. (I think it's called Onigumo's Heart Still Beating Within Naraku.) Because, in the manga (number 1 cool she's happy that he helped her and says that she won't let a man other than him touch a hair on her head, but in the anime she pulls a knife on him! If that's not altered I don't know what is.

I can't stand both Watching the Anime and reading the Manga. Doin that pisses me off because I end up hating the Anime for changing everything. The only Exception I have found to this rule is Ranma 1/2, it follows teh Manga closely enough.

I like the anime one, but the manga isn't bad at all. its just kikyo seems more... delirious in the manga, but they're both very good

The anime would have to be the "altered" version since the manga came first. One of the biggest differences is the placement of the Peach Man story--it was in the twelfth manga and it ends up more than sixty episodes in, if I remember correctly.

At least they sent Sango back to her village so that it was more like in the manga. Though that evil tree thing was pretty weird.

The manga is almost always better. I never read the Inuyasha manga though, but she didn't pull a knife in the manga? biggrin If only the fangirls knew about that blaugh But the anime has alot of fillers too of course, and more Kikyou moments that way whee

Ugh, manga. At least I can follow that. The anime just bores me to death now. But there's a lot of differences between the anime and the manga. So many I can't remember them all.

Manga wins by forfeit anyhow, since the anime ended quite prematurely (and in a lame fashion.)

I like the anime a little more tho That's because most of Rumiko Takahashi's work, when translated into English, became flipped artwork so it was "easier" for Americans to read. It can be very confusing if you don't realize they've flipped a ton of artwork and only in the last four years or so started to leave the art alone.
