As you can already tell by my username and my post style, I really like Matsuda Touta. And I'm actually pretty surprised how I was able to get a hold of this username. surprised I thought it would've been taken by now.

What are your thoughts on Matsuda Touta?

Mine: I think he's cutely humorous. He's thought of as a kid in a police suit, that he can't handle the bigger issues when I think he can. 3nodding

I love him. :"D Pretty drastic to say about an anime character, but if Matsuda were a real person I would have him tied up in my closet. He reminds me strongly of Tosuga from the original Ghost in the Shell(who I also adore).

I think Matsuda somewhat represents innocent justice. He believe Kira was wrong but also saw the benifits(crime going down and whatnot). While everyone else thought 'Kira = Bad cerial murderer' Matsuda wasn't so sure. Sure, Kira was killing people but most of them were killing tens to hundreds more.

May I molest your avatar now? D;

He also shot Light's hand off and saved Near from certain death. That's, like, the coolest thing anybody could ever do.

I love Matsuda. xD He makes things seem so much more lighthearted and fun sometimes, and he's made me smile or in some cases laugh on a number of occassions, and he does it without occassionally annoying me like Misa does. x] I also agree with what Covered-Up Boxers said about innocent justice. 3nodding

I love him!!!
He's the best policeman and it's kinda cute when he gets yelled of everything.
He's so innocent too, he can't think Light as Kira and Kira as a bad person. Maybe he sometimes does something very stupid and needless, but that doesn't annoy me at all.
He's very brave too ^.~

Matsuda is awesome. He adds humor to the dreary, depressing, and mind boggling world of Death Note with silly 9 year old antics. He's my hero because he kind of shows that you don't have to be competent or a genius to be a hero. 3nodding

Matsuda's so cute. He's one of the most innocent characters in the series, and I love how he get's so happy with every discovery, or when he managed to get Misa a good deal while he was portraying as her agent. He also adds the comic relief to the most stressing parts of the series, he's awesome

Yeah, I agree that he's quite innocent. In fact, most of what I wanted to say has already been said >_>. Well, no-one's used the word optimistic yet, so I suppose I'll say that he always looks on the brightside of things, and on numerous occasions, he has put his life on the line for the team.

Every dark cloud needs its comic relief -- for Death Note it is certainly Matsuda. Although I truly believe he's extremely brave to continue in the Kira investigation and also when he put himself in direct harms way -- faking his death and all.

Matsuda is a valuable asset to the manga/anime.
