As the title states I guess, but to be more specific, I am going to be either President or VP of my High School anime club next year, but I've been hard pressed to find appropriate and short enough series to watch. Basically the kind of Anime I'm looking for is.
1. Appropriate, no nudity, and nothing explicit on blood.(Hellsing is where the line is drawn on that one.)
2. Short, no more than 35 episodes, but atleast 20.
3. I'd love to watch something without CG in it, but If I have to I'll take an anime with CG in it.
4. Nothing to mainstream, I'm trying to get some of the members exposed to good anime series other than FMA and Naruto.
5. We have already watched; Cowboy Bebop(I can cosplay Spike pretty well, minus the eyes is all.), Samurai 7, Excel Saga(freakin' hilarious), Wolf's Rain, Weiss(s-set) Kruez, er, there might be 1 or 2 more that I've forgotten about.
6. And so far I have Escaflowne and Last Exile Scheduled for this coming year.

I don't really watch much Tv or Anime, but I do read alot of Manga.
I've never been into Narato, but it's getting really old seeing all these cosplayers cosplay them all the time. Ugh! Can we get variety. XP lol
A short Anime that I adore is Trigun!
I don't think it's uber violent or anything.
That's my recomendation.
Of course Cowboy bebop you've already seen, I love that anime!
Humm...another suggestion is Pokemon!

No seriously...
I don't really watch anime, as much as I read Manga so I guess I don't really have much else to recomned.
I have been wanting to check out FMP and Real 'bout Highschool.

Yeah, I do a spike cosplay every year for the anime club booth during the club, er....lost the word, but it's where all the clubs set up and show the incoming all the cool clubs we have at our school. Not all 800 of them, but enough. mrgreen
Aha! I've forgotten about Trigun, yes that would be a definite possibilty.
As for poke'mon, to avoid enough bad vibes and down lookers the club already get's I probably wouldn't do that one, as great as the first series was, Digimon would be cool but it's to long as well.
Yeah, I only like Naruto in Japanese with english subtitles, and even then only the uncensored version as there is much more blood! I would read Manga, but the only one I'm into right now is mega tokyo, but I don't know when the next book for it comes out. gonk
Thank ya', now I just need one more series to finish off a schedule for next year. I too don't watch TV much, only time I watch TV is if there's some news or something that has caught my attention, and anime club.

Vampire princess miyu isn't too long. Except it's kind of bland, but it's a good anime if you can pay attention for enough time.
MMM there's also Slayers. There are different seasons, but just picking one is enough, its around 40 or so episodes. It's also pretty fun to watch, and nothing bad, if you get something like Slayers TRY (since Nagha isnt in them. If she's in any of the seasons, then it's bad because she raises the rating up to something higher, like pg-14 or even higher)
I don't remember if Shaman King is long, but that one looks good as well.
If not, and you guys are just hanging around and deciding on a certain series, you can watch Hayao Miyazaki's movies. Those are fun to watch.

Ok, just go to www.realitylapse.com and check out the animes they have there. There's is quite a few that meet your condition but I'm not sure if they are good because I haven't got the chance to watch it yet. Some of the longer ones are quite good though.

Chrnos Crusade isn't very long
and in my opinion
its an excellent anime
pretty exciting lol =D
It has violence but not explicted
the ending is unexpecting
i think you'd enjoy XD

does anyone watch Hell Girl? the main story is a bit repetitive because well if u see the first episode, u get the stuff, but little stories about the people trying to curses someone, I say its intriguing.

If you want something interesting that's all cel animation, here are a few:
Cosmowarrior Zero- Based on a Japanese PS2 game, it ties into the universes of Captain Harlock and Galaxy Express.
Galaxy Railways- We've seen the Galaxy 999, but what about the other 998? Set onboard the rescue train "Big One" which is based in turn on the real Y6B Mallet locomotive, the largest steam engine ever built.
For a really weird change of pace:
Interstella 5555: Story of the Secret Star System- Touted as "the first animated house musical". The music of Daft Punk is combined with the animation of Leiji Matsumoto for a wild, intergalactic adventure. It's purely musical and visual, and you don't need to be a linguist to get what's going on.
And in case you haven't guessed by now, yes, I'm a major Leiji Matsumoto fan.

Baccano! was pretty freaking sweet. It's less than 20 episodes, but I approve.
Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya is pretty much a must see for any anime club. Make sure you watch it in airing order and not episode order.
Did you try any movies? I find that Anime movies are better suited for club activities.
