SA: The Bunker (Medical Bay)

This bare minimal room consists of four beds, two work desks equiped with computers, and a center table used for surgery. Inside the room is everything needed to build a surgery kit and perform medical opporations. There is also another door on the opposite side as the Crygenic Chamber entrance.

Ian

Entering into the medical bay, Ian begins to relax a little, here, in this room, is his element. Here he knows instinctively where everything is and how it works. Here, he is in complete control.

Moving around to the various work areas, Ian begins absentmindedly putting together a surgury kit from the available tools, just in case. After a few minutes of rooting around, Ian hears a muffled cough, from Dr. Riley, as she tries to get his attention.

"Oh, sorry..." Ian says with a half-smile, "sometimes I get carried away."

"Yes, I can see that." retorts Dr. Riley, clearly not in the mood for whimsey.

"Alright, I know just from doing a self check-up that I'm fine..." Ian began before being starred down by the very professional woman in front of him, "but I suppose I could maybe use a once over..."

"Good idea." Dr. Riley says, smiling for the first time. Getting some equipment together, she tells Ian to sit down on the table. Performing various minor tests, she asks him to tell her a little something about himself, to make the process a little more comfortable.

"Well," Ian began, "I'm Ian Wright, I'm an army, er... was an army medical doctor. I'm originally from Iowa, and had only been out of medical school for a couple years when I was asked to volunteer for this assignment. I guess they could have done better than me, but they could have done worse, right?"

No answer from Dr. Riley.

"Anyway," Ian continued, "I've really worked hard to learn all I can about the human body, and have taken some very advanced courses relating to field surgury and treating wounds in a combat zone. Hopefully I'll be of some use to you."

"I'm sure you will, Doctor." Dr. Riley assured, as she clicked off her penlight and finished her examination of Ian. "I guess everything looks to be in order, and I suppose that means it is my turn. If you will?" She motioned for him to switch places with her.

As Ian began giving Dr. Riley her examination, he asked her to tell him a little something about herself, why she was here, what she did before the freeze, and the like.

"I am Lisa Riley, and I have a Doctorette in Behavioral Psychology, Genetics, and Engineering. I graduated at the top of my class in all three programs, and have until recently been working for Karsynergie Co. as the head of project development. In fact," taking a look around her, "I designed the very bunker we are in, including the cryogenic freezing chambers in the other room."

Ians mouth dropped at this point in her little story.

"Oh, don't be too surprised. The only way I was able to design these working modules in the first place was because my company was able to secure government aid in annalysing the Alien's own suspended animation technology, which was aquired from a downed ship. Anyway, that is me in a nut shell. I don't like idiots, I can't stand illogical people, and for some reason, I really don't like other doctors. Nothing personal, I'm just a b***h like that."

Ian closed his mouth, which had been hanging open, and blushed slightly.

"Umm, no offense taken." Ian supplied helpfully. "I think we will save time if we both do exams, that way we can get to know people quicker and get on to seeing where all of our supplies are at."

"Yes," Dr. Riley agreed, "I'll unlock the next room and anyone who has had an exam already can begin working on seeing where we are at, as far as supplies go, that is."

Both Ian and Lisa turn towards the cryogenic chamber awaiting their first patients.

As the first wave of troops enters the medical bay, Chad pouts along the side of the room, looking at a bunch of medical supplies and giving the doctors dirty looks. Ian takes Gustave aside, while Dr. Riley takes Scorpion over to the table for his physical examination.

As each doctor performs their exam on their patient, they both inquire about each person's life, asking for them to tell a little something about themselves.

Ian

Ian looks Gustave over and finding nothing out of the ordinary, except his lack of friendliness, sends him through the door and into the Kitchen/Mess Hall to see what he could find.

Dr. Riley

Looking Scorpion in the eyes, Dr. Riley gives him a quick once over, mentally from what she has seen, before speaking.

"It's very simple Spike, you let me take a look at you to make sure you didn't freeze anything off, than you can go play with tweedle dumb over their," motioning towards the direction Gustave just went, "and get the hell out of my hair."

She smiles. It's kinda creepy when she does it. She clears Scorpion and tells him to go find something to do and not get in the way.
