Sibalto trotted along through the heavily shaded forest, bound for a small, secret place he had discovered on his wanderings. A small waterfall fed into a lake, deep in the heart of the woods, and since finding it, the silver dappled stallion had been making his way there every now and again. Today he wore only his bridle, and was quite intent on faving a swim after walking through this warm day.
Basking in the dappled sunlight on the bank later, Sib dosed, content with his grazing and swimming... And more than content to just lay and soak up the day. It was oddly quiet, he noted in the back of his mind, for he had not heard the sound of another Soquili for some time... Surely this place wasn't completely secret? Well... Maybe he'd go wandering later in search of someone to talk to.

Quite quickly he found himself in a most peculiar new place. Seemingly some kind of secluded lake with a lovely waterfall flowing into into it. It was just his kind of place to stop and enjoy the scenery, then of coarse take a nice dip in the lake's cooling waters. When he drew closer, he noticed someone grey and speckled in the distance. It was another stallion.
He called out in a friendly manner, "Hello there!" and drew closer. He noticed the stallion was wearing some sort of contraption on his back...it look kinda...strange. Ignoring the new site of the object on the other soquili's back he continued, "why hello, I'm not interupting your seclusion here am I?" he questioned politely. He was always polite, it was just his thing.

At the sound of distant hoofbeats Sibalto snapped out of his peaceful half-dose, blinking wide eyes. The sound drew closer and he surged to his feet, spinning to face the newcommer. Well, another stallion! A wild and funloving fellow by the way he approached and greeted a stranger with such open kindness.
"Good day." He grinned back, nodding his head to the stallion. "No you interrupt nothing good sir, I was just about to go in search of company... Your arrival comes as an unexpected boon.... I am Sibalto..."
This stallion seemed vaguely familiar, perhaps they had seen each other from a distance before.. No matter, now they were in the same area, and had the opportunity to be friends.

Oathkeeper practically beemed, happy the stranger was just as polite and quite seemingly friendly. Being upclose to the other stallion, Oathkeeper couldn't help but get the same feeling---as if he had seen the other stallion in the backdrop of somewhere. Then it struck him, "Oh---you're one of the soquili comers from another land, aren't you?" he questioned, hoping he wasn't treading such rocky ground right from the off. "I'm Oathkeeper" the braided maned stallion replied, giving a polite nod of his head, "Pleased to meet you Sibalto. Tell me, what brings you to such a fine place on such a day?"

Sibalto grinned widely and nodded, thick forelock tumbling into his face. He tossed his head slightly and considered the stranger. So that must have been it...
"Yes, I came from across the sea..." He rumbled pleasantly. "I came on one of the ships, with settlers, and though most of them left, a few of us remained..."
Learning the other stallion's name, Sib gave a slight bow. "Well met Oathkeeper... And as it is such a fine day, I decided to go for a walk... I ran into this place not long ago, and visit the falls for a nice wade now and again... And... Just sort of wound up here for the day..."
He chuckled and shrugged, grinning.

"Ah I see" the stallion nodded, "Other lands must be amazing! Wish I could see one...one day." He then looked around, "It is a fine and tranquil place. I was just wandering about and stumbled upon here moments ago." Smiling at the other friendly saddle-wearing stallion, he inquired, "What might your hobbies and interests be, Sibalto?" He always liked knowing more about another's likes.

Sibalto grinned. "I hope one day you have the opportunity to explore other lands... I enjoy it."
This was turning out to be a fine day indeed... He'd had a nice walk and wade, and was now sharing a pleasant conversaion with a new friend.
"I'm a wanderer by nature, I tend to explore... My two-legger Tashika keeps herself occupied with chores and I tend to go walking... You run into the most intersting horses and find the best place that way... I'm partial to dancing, I do practice the arts of war should I need them, I escourt my Lady when it pleases her..." He gave a bit of a shrug. "I am very fond of swimming and stargazing.. And you?"

"Oh, very much so as well. I imaging this would be a great place to settle down to stargaze" Oathkeeper answered, glacing upward and almost blinding himself in the sunlight. "You have a mate?" he asked, wondering what the other stallion meant exactly by 'escourting his lady.' He, after all, had no idea what the strange contraption on Sibalto's back was for. Oathkeeper was obviously a tad confused with the whole mix up on words.

"I imagine it would be a most excellant place to stargaze.... Though there is a lovely place along the riverbank as well.. That is where I usually go..." Sibalto smiled as a fierce joy filled his heart. Firefly... The thought of her made his blood gallop through his veins...
"I do have a mate... Yes... Her name is Firefly..." He smiled softly. "And when my two-legger has no need of me, I take great joy in spending time with her..."
He considered the other stallion. "Do you have a lady?"

"I don't have a mate but---" Oathkeeper began, pausing momentarily, "There's this mare and she's...wow. She like everything I like, she's smart & funny & I like her." To be respectful, Oathkeeper continued, "This, Firefly you speak of. I think I've spoken with her once. Isn't she strong and bold? She seems like she'd be a fine mate. Congrats to you both." The pastel-maned stallion smiled around at the place, "Definantly an amazing place for stargazing" he added, not knowing much else to say at that moment, since his thoughts were now on Auriga, the mare he'd taken to this very place.

"As dark as night, painted with silver and red..." Sibalto nodded, smiling. "Yes, she is bold... And passionate... And stronger than any lady I have ever known... I am quite proud to call her my Lady, and I thank you for your kind wishes..."
He tilted his head. "A mare you adore? Congratulations my friend!"
Watching this stallion, he knew Oathkeeper was no longer paying attention to him... Obviously trapped in his thoughts... And he waited for the light-coated male to return to the present, being in no rush...
"Yes." He spoke softly. "A truly lovely place..."

"Firefly, yes, I do think I have seen her abouts" Oathkeeper nodded as he was trying to think back a bit further. Finally turning his attention back to the interesting fellow stallion he smiled. "Thank you. I hope her and I last as long as the stars in the sky" he replied poetically. "If its not to bold, maybe take your lovely mate to this very spot? I'm sure she may enjoy it" he nodded.
Wondering if he should change the subject of love interests to something else, he paused and dipped a hoof in the stagnent part of the water. A fish swam by and he made an interesting feat of catching it on his nose, then tossing it back unharmed into the water. Hilariously, the stallion was probably seeming a bit aloof to Siblato. Random acts were just Oathkeeper's way of breaking any ice or silent moments with a little spontanious fun.

"Perhaps one day." Sibalto agreed, wondering if Firefly would enjoy this place... They had wandered to many secret groves and gone on 'adventures', and raced across the face of the world together... Yet, there was something truly peaceful about being in their own private glades, with no one but eachother for company...
Watching his newest friend and his antics, Sibalto smiled faintly. "That's quite a trick, my friend... I've never seen another Soquili accomplish such a thing..."

"Oh that?" Oath replied, "Just me being a spaz" he smiled. Looking back at the stallion, he could have sworn he heard one of his favorite words. "You enjoy racing too?" he asked, an eyebrow cocked in an excited inquisitive manner. "I throughly enjoy it myself!" he added, "If you'd be so interested in a race...I know I'm more than up for it."

Sibalto made a show of stretching his forelegs and arching his neck, pawing at the ground. A race now? He considered the idea, a small smile curving across his face. His eyes danced and he warmed to the idea.
"Now?" He asked, a full blown grin taking over his expression. "Yes, I think a race right about now would be a thoroughly enjoyable undertaking..."
