The second one, considering my tummy is my hotspot. And that's a big focus there :p. Plus she looks like she's getting tortured pretty bad, and I love being tortured.

I pick the second, because I know that machines won't stop tickling you until commanded, wheras people can be fuzzled by emotion and stop sometimes.

A safeword is a word that a 'ler and a 'lee decide on before the tickling begins. This allows the ticklee to beg and plead for mercy all they want but unless they say the safeword, the tickler won't stop.
It's a safety mechanism. Some 'lees might say: "No matter how much I beg and plead, don't stop." and the 'lers will agree... but if there's no real... ending point... then when DO they stop? That's where the safe word comes in. It's for the `lee's own safety and rights.
If the safe word I chose with my Ler was "Popcorn," then he/she wouldn't stop until I said "popcorn." It wouldn't matter how much I begged and pleaded for them to stop. Some 'Lees like me, love to be tickled but don't love it to the point that they won't beg for their Ler to stop. With a safe word, you're ensured that no one has to stop before they're good and ready.
This can apply to tickling or anything really that involves giving the control over to only one party in a relationship, be it tickling or otherwise.
((Don't mind my long-winded explanation, I'm rather like a dictionary or an encyclopidia when it comes to stuff like this.))
