"Hey! They're stealing our ship!" "...Bloody...PIRATES!" Kea giggled around a mouthful of cereal, watching what had become her second favorite (The one made after the one made after this was her favorite) movie. She was sitting on the couch doing absolutely nothing...well it was a hot summer's day! What was she supposed to do? It was nice and cool in the house with all its air conditioning.
"Of course you can come over today! No, we don't have plans you'll be ruining...well, Faye's at a friend's house but Shauna's here. I'm sure she'll be so excited to see you! Alright then...yes...we'll see you in a bit then. Later!" Eight chuckled and finally hung up the phone, shaking her head a little. "One of those people you have to say bye six times before they finally finish, I guess." She mused, turning from the phone to check on Kea for a moment when the very fox she said would be staying home ran by in the direction of the door! "Shauna? Where're you going?" She skidded to a stop.
"Huh? Oh. Pan just informed me of terrible news. Terrible!"
"...What?"
"Well, see, I went in and asked if we had anything I could make a tuna sandwich with and she said no! So naturally I decided I'd have some sushi instead when she came clean and told me we had no fish left! So I'm going to the market to buy some." Somehow she said that with a straight face. Eight blinked and just stared at her daughter. The hell? Was the summer heat getting to her head? Shauna started to turn away, and it wasn't until she opened the door that Eight came to her senses and remembered something. Oh crap!
"Wait--Shauna! Come back! V--" Slam! "...idya's on her way..." Great. Now both the girls Vidya had wanted to see were gone.
"Momma? Who's Vidya?" Kea asked Eight as the woman climbed over the back of the couch and flopped onto the cushion next to her. Momma looked tired! Maybe she needed to take a nap...or a break.
"Hm? Oh! Vidya's a sweet girl, haven't seen her in a while. She's Daddy's uncle's daughter adopted by his wife and she's also a friend of Faye and Shauna. She should be here any minute now." This might be a little awkward making Vidya wait for Shauna to come back from the market. At least she could meet Kea! And hang out in the air conditioned living room watching movies and keeping herself entertained. Shauna hopefully wouldn't take too long!

Vidya hadn't meant to make Eight say goodbye six times. It was just...she kept forgetting what she was doing, and was forced to repeat herself. That was happening...a lot. Especially lately. Her mind just...went blank. Luckily, it was only for a few seconds and really, nobody would notice. She acted ditzy all the time, after all! Tybalt certainly hadn't noticed.
Not long after hanging up the phone, Vidya was on her way over. She didn't bother to say goodbye to anyone...it was one of those rare occassions when nobody was home to say goodbye to! The Nymph tale went on her way, honestly oblivious to the dumbfounded stares se was receiving, as it was hard to perceive stares without proper vision; but she did turn a dagger-throwing glare at anyone who catcalled to her. Vidya couldn't tell outside of the word of friends and family and what little she understood of her new body, but she was told she'd grown to be rather pretty; but it was probably just part of her physical upkeeping and her clothes that made the horndogs whistle.
After getting lost due to mistaking one road for the next (they looked the same, from her whisp-aura eye's point of view), she eventually made it to Faye and Shauna's house, knocking on the door before moving her hands down to flatten an invisible crease in her short, string-tied shorts.

"Come on, Kea~! Just one little piece. Pleeeeease?" Eight whined playfully, sitting indian style on the couch facing Kea. The Succubus tale would hear none of it! She pouted and glared and leaned protectively over her cereal.
"Nuh uh! This is mine! You said so, you were buying it just for me. Besides," She grinned and stuck out her tongue. "Yesterday I heard Daddy telling you how big your butt was. You gotta lay off the sweets!" Kea laughed as if she'd just won something, not nothing how red her mother's cheeks were. Where had she learned to talk like that?! Must have been the damn television corrupting her sweet babies. A knock on the door was the only thing that saved Kea.
"Coming!" She called, jumping over the back of the couch again and hurrying to the door. The distorted blue figure in the glass of the door told her it was Vidya...she'd gotten taller. "Hello, Vid--holy cow, you're gorgeous!" People were always coming over looking brand new! Geeze! Kids today were growing way too quickly. "Uh..come in! Come in!" She stepped out of the way and held the door open for the girl, frowning a little. Eight closed the door when Vidya was inside, leading her to the living room where Kea's pirate movie was finishing up. "I'm sorry to say this but Shauna kinda ran off to buy some fish. Apparently it's a huge tragedy when there isn't any in the house and I wasn't able to tell her to wait for you before she was gone. She should be back soon though! You can meet Keaira if you'd like. She's a Tale just like you!"
Kea looked up when she heard her name, then she got off the couch when she heard her mother explaining to someone what she was. She made a quick detour to the kitchen to drop off her empty cereal bowl then ran out the entrance closest to her mother and this new girl. "Hiiii~! Hihihihihihihi!" The girl cheered, jumping in front of wherever Vidya was standing--a safe distance so the girl didn't fall or anything--and waving an arm up high like the older girl was standing miles away.

Vidya made a point of staring at Eight with her pupilless, silver eyes. Directly at Eight...I mean, she could tell Eight's figure from the door, so it was definately Eight she was looking at. If she didn't get an idea of Eight's shape in her eyesight now, she probably would forget and end up calling out to the wrong person in the future. However, at the comment of being gorgeous, the tale couldn't help the light purple blush on her cheeks.
"Uh...T-thanks.." She breathed out, scratching the back of her neck through her thick hair. Stepping inside as she was invited, the older tale made a little bow once she was actually inside the door. "Its okay, I can wait...but...a tale?" Vidya was curious no doubt, but as soon as she said 'tale', the presence of a child appeared, so quickly infact that it startled her. With a little squeak of surprise, the iridescent-skinned tale turned to face the overly energetic girl. Huh...this seemed...familiar somehow?
"Aah...Hello! You must be Keaira~! Unfortunately..." The older tale broke off, leaning forward to rest her hands on her own knees. "I'm not deaf, sweetheart...but your waving certainly helped me find out where you are~" She teased, moving to hold out her right hand. Vidya had certainly calmed down an awful lot...or was that just the linering disorientation of growing? "You're so cute! Nice to meet you, Keaira...My name is Vidya...I'm a Tale, too!"

"Helped?" Keaira tilted her head a little. How come she'd need help finding where she was? She folded her hands innocently behind her back and rocked back and forth on her toes and heels, looking her new friend up and down. Wow! She was so much bigger than her! And her skin was blue! Oops! She almost forgot that Vidya had her hand held out! Kea grinned and grabbed the blue hand, giving it a little shake before tugging on her arm a little as a sign she was getting ready to drag Vidya away somewhere.
"Really? You look like a pirate! Like Mister Birdy Man!" Nobody said getting or remembering names was her strong suit. "He's this big birdy guy who talks real mean and tough and has these big wings and his feet are claws!"
