This game is ******** awesome. There is nothing like blasting half-zombies in the face with a sawed-off 12 gauge, then proceeding to cut them to pieces with a chainsaw attached to the stub where you're hand used to be. There are three different weapons for each hand, making for an awesomely explosive diversity. This games humor is just enough to balance out the creepiness of being in an asylum, or graveyard. The whole sidekick thing adds some difficulty and aggravation to it, because he never runs where you want him to run, he usually doesn't stay still long enough to use him for puzzles, and he doesn't try hard enough to kill enemies. I did like boss battles, though. None of them take brute force, because there is some kind of weakness that must be applied before exploding there face with a shotgun. Oh, and the evil-Ash thing practically turns your character into the hulk, making it that much easier for a few seconds.
Overall, I give this game a 9/10.
