My best friend has just told me that she worships satan. I acted like I was ok with it, but I'm really not. I know I should be, after all she respects my beleifs. It scares me alot. I'm probably afraid of it because I don't understand it (at all). I don't mean to sound so ignorant, I accept everyone and everything, and I love my friend more than anything in the world. I don't want anything bad to happen to her. I'm worried that her parents will find out, or she'll get possesed or something.

If it were me I would just sit down and talk to her about it. Let her know that while you respect her and her beliefs, you're worried about her. And then just ask her to please be careful so that she doesn't get hurt.
And then maybe ask her to explain her beliefs to you and whatnot so that you won't have to worry about her anymore.
If she gets upset, then just explain that she's your friend and you care about her safety and that you just want to know more about her beliefs.
And then just go from there...

I would be worried too if I were you. You care about your friend, of course you would worry about her. Try your best to gently tell her of your concerns, but in the end you'll have to let her decide her path. Unfortunately she may or may not listen to you. Don't worry, this is probably just a phase she is going through (as bad as that sounds ><) and she might have to get burnt to learn why you don't do things like that. Plus she has a good friend like you to help her if she gets hurt/possessed.

How old is she? Because a lot of young people go through a phase or rejecting their parents' religion. Some of them tend to pick an extreme religion in order to create more shock value...most of the time, they don't actually practice it, because they're too lazy to do research and devote time to something. Why waste time actually practicing when you get the same result just by telling people you do? In these cases, it's pretty harmless.
Satanism in the sense of self-worship, or satanism in the sense of devil-worship? Or is it the one that idiot with the tigers made up?
In any case, if you know for sure that she's practicing some dangerous stuff (i.e., trying to summon demons), I think as a friend you have an obligation to warn her and tell her how you feel. If she continues to do that stuff, I'd keep my distance for a while if I were you.

i would suggest looking into it a bit first to see if your worries are warranted but just keep an eye on her in case something bad happens.

I thought that at first too, but she's already bought some books and stuff. I don't think she plan to tell her parents. They'd have a fit and they'd probably wind up kicking her out. She doesn't want that to heppen.

You said yourself that she has never bothered you about your beliefs. Besides, as a Wiccan, you don't believe in Satan, right? So, if you fear her being possessed by that which she worships, don't worry too much. It's highly unlikely to occur. Possession is more rare than people realize. If you fear malign entities, such as certain spirits, taking over, just tell her to be careful, and leave it at that. You can also make a pact that if osmething of that nature does occur to her, you can help her out with your magic. Your hearts in the right place, but give her the space; besides, a lot of Satanists don't actually worship satan anyway.

Rebel_Dynasty besides, a lot of Satanists don't actually worship satan anyway. Quote: My best friend has just told me that she worships satan She stated that her friend did worship Satan. She never said that she was a Satanist. Any Satanist who states that they worship Satan, most likely aren't really a Satanist, unless they have a mixture of religions where one of those religions worships Satan.

My mistake. sweatdrop I forgot about that line entirely, since it was at the beginning of the post, and I wished to address as much of her concerns as possible. Even still... It's best to give her friend some space; she can talk to her about it, but she can't try to force her friend out of it; that owuld be no better than what the orthodox religions try to do to people like us. All she can do is make a pact with her, as I suggested, for casting a spell (even one to keep her safe) without her friends' say-so would be bad karma.

lets face it, early teens is a tough time to go through no matter who you are and then you find something that looks like the way out, and it justt compound your troubles or it can be an escape , it all depends on who it is.

True Satanism has nothing to do with Christian's views on Satan, and it is a very legitimate belief system. Just for reference.

Once your friend starts seeing really spooky stuff or has to drink blood, get skyclad, or have sex in ritual, she may change her mind about the whole deal.
