Roxanne hated the weather sometimes. The little flutter wished it would just make up it's mind. Sunny, rainy, cold, hot. Why couldn't it just pick one and stick with it!
A summer storm had billowed into the Soquili lands. It's cold rain poured from the sky in torrents. Which made it almost impossible for the little mare to fly. "Stupid rain. Stupid weather. God why can't you just make up your mind!" She screeched at the sky.
Luckily for her, she had found shelter underneath a large leaf. But the ground was still wet and thick with mud which clung to her pure white coat. Her black curls clung to her face and chest as water droplets dripped from her silver cross. Fluttering her wings furiously, more water went spraying in all directions. "Great. Just great. This really sucks."
Giving a flick of her long, wet tail. She moved farther back into the brush to where it was at least a little bit drier to wait out the storm. Though it seemed like it would never end.

The Vampire stallion had decided to walk tonight. The rain had beckoned him, and it was as if the heavens were crying.. Sometimes he liked to think that Heaven was crying.. Because if Heaven was crying, that meant that God couldnt win everything.. Not all the time.
He smiled. Deciding it was much too lovely out to actually think of such things. His black mass of curls was sticking to his creme pelt, but it still had body, still had volume that made him look as attractive as ever. Or at least to him.
His voice was soft. Velvet. Thick.
"Beautiful Weather.. Beautiful weather that is tres magnifique..

Sighing lightly, she watched as larger then life rain drops splashed onto the ground. At least they were large compared to her current size she had taken on.
A small, but strong breeze picked up and puffed the leaf she hid under upwards. The wind against her face made her eyes close shut tightly. This was horrid. She could always just get bigger, but that size was always so clumsy and brutish to her. Fluttering her wings like a mad woman, she could feel her hooves slipping and sliding in the mud as now she was out in the open.
Large drops falling upon her small body soaking her nearly to the bone. She had to find some other shelter or she might not make it! That would just be horrible! The world just couldn't survive without her! Biting her bottom lip, she fluttered furiously out into the air. Wind whipped this way and that, tossing her about like a little rag doll.
Nausea started to set in as she was tossed about and blow in reverse. Kicking her legs, she tried to grasp out for something to catch herself on, until finally she caught something in her mouth. It felt like hair, how gross, but it didn't matter to her. At least she had stopped whipping through the air for the moment.

Jean-Claude had been walking, minding his own buisness, but some brute had come from no where, and attached themselves to his curly ebony tail. Angry at the feeling of his tail being pulled, he tried to whip it from the shadow's mouth.
It was somewhat odd.. He'd truly never known shadows to bite one's tail. But as he trudged, with his tail still firmly locked in the others jaws, he was it was a Soquili..
He'd known that of course.. it had the shape. But it was a tad smaller, and he now knew the reason the shadow had been smaller than he'd thought of a Soquili.
This thing was a flutter. Her fur was bristled and matted with rain, and her mane hung in her face like a drowned rat, which is what his now looked like as well, from the wind.
"Might I ask, ma chardonette, why my tail is locked in your jaws ever so tight?"

Carefully, she wrapped the curls around her legs to keep her in place. Being tossed around in the wind again just wasn't an option. Of course, the booming voice from the Soquili the tail was attached to startled her slightly.
Her wings opened and closed as she tried to catch her breath. Roxanne flicked her head to move the hair out of her bright blue eyes before she looked up. Gah! It was a stallion! Oh why did it have to be one of those. They were so cruel to her because of her size!
"I'm trying not to get blown away!" She squeaked at him. Trying to resist the urge to flee. "It's horrible! Just horrible!"

Jean huffed a bit, rolling his sapphire eyes as he spoke, hoping to be calm as to not frighten the little flutter further.
"I know somewhere we can go, to get you out of this rain and wind.. But thats only if you care to go. If not, Im going to continue on my way, and act as if I'd never seen you."
He said, looking at her little frame, and getting now annoyed by his matted mane smacking him in the face.
"If you care to go with me, then I suggest coming over here and hiding under my mane. My tail seems such a very testy place to hide.. If I whip it the wrong way, you could go soaring through this wind once again."

Roxanne puffed out her cheeks. This stallion seemed to have that air of arrogance that greatly annoyed her. It was enough to make her blood boil.
"Fine. Take me to this place. I can't stand the rain anymore." Unwinding her legs from his tail, she zipped as quickly as she could to hide in his mane. It was still wet, but at least she wasn't being assaulted by the wind and the rain anymore.
Though the flutter truly wondered if this was the best of ideas.

Jean was sure that the little flutter was hot headed.. What was it that was said about them?.. That they are so small they can only feel one emotion at a time? Or was that the stories fo fairies he'd heard from Anusha?
He felt the little flutter hide under his mane, letting the pulse in his throat keep her warm.
He was also sure the flutter didnt trust him, which was fine with him, he hated being trusted. And if it was a flutter not trusting him the better.. They were an untrustworthy lot. Decieving.. Or at least the ones he met were, and he supposed he was being bery judgemental.
He hadnt gone far from his cave of a home, so it didnt take long at all to arrive back at the place which he had only left minutes ago.. He walked back to the further end of the cave, where warmth never truly left, but it wasnt warm.. It was a bit cold, as stone tended to be.
"There. I hope this will suffice."

Now that they were in a covered place that was drier than the outside, Roxanne gave a long sigh of relief. She peeked out from between strands of his mane to gaze as the dark cavern he had taken her to. Wrinkling her nose, she darted out from his hair and zipped about, giving the place a good look over. At least from what she could see anyway.
It would have to do, she supposed. Finding a perch on a small rock, she shook her whole body to try and get it dry. Her wings fluttered madly as she sent water droplets spraying in every direction. After the quick shake down, she went to drying her curls. At least she was drier than before and didn't look like a drowned rat anymore. A few flicks of her tail and it wasn't dripping wet anymore. God was it good to be dry!
"I guess it'll work. Thanks, I guess." She turned her head and groomed her black curls. At least now they were starting to get some bounce and shape back into them.

He huffed, rolling his eyes and showing his disfavor. How rude she was.. He supposed he could just deal with it.. It wasnt worth arguing, and as soon as the rain cleared, he'd be free of her.
Shaking his own wet body to release the water, he took a comfy spot on the side of the cave, and laid down, head still high as he relaxed with ease.
Sporting a dry and once more, dashing mane, he looked at her.
"You're very welcome.. I guess."

At his response, she turned her head quickly to look at him. Her eyes lidding half way as she gave him a skeptical glance.
Swinging her head, she tossed her curls back into their normal style, dangling over her shoulders. With a quick test of dryness for her wings, she zipped over and landed on the tip of his muzzle, gazing deep into his eyes for a moment.
"God! You're so...so. I don't even know the word for it." The little flutter puffed out her pink cheeks again and lifted her nose into the air. Giving his own nose a quick tap with her long tail. Her wings opened and closed as she huffed. "Just goes to show how you big ones treat us little ones. No respect."
Her eyes snapped open and they shimmered. Brimmed with moisture not from the rain. Roxanne's bottom lip quivered as she looked him straight in the eyes. "You're so cruel!"

He glanced er in disbelief. Was she serious? Was she seriously pointing hoof at him being cruel? Yes, sometimes he was cruel, and he enjoyed it.. But he was being kind tonight..
"Beg pardon? Madame, I may seem cruel, but I just tried tobe kind to you, and apparently, it has no regard. You say, that we treat you little ones with no respect, but I think for you, its just a way to say that you think everyone is, how do you say.. out to get you."

"Your attitude is what's cruel!" The flutter's eyes narrowed as she stared the larger stallion down. Even if she was smaller than him she'd not put up with his attitude. Her wings flickered as she flew away from him to perch on that small rock again. Tucking her legs underneath her body, she laid down and let her wings flatten out to dry some more.
Jeez. What a savior this one turned out to be. Roxanne would of much more favored someone with a different personality to save her from the horrible rain. But now she was stuck until the storm passed. Thunder crackled outside which made her ears twitch and her head perk up to gaze towards the mouth of the cave. How much longer was this going to take?
