The Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind. I've so far read:

The Wizard's First Rule
Stone of Tears
Blood of the Fold

And, I'm looking for the next one.

What's your current obsession?

A text on the concept of race in modern culture by a man called Takaki.
I want to go back and read All Souls by Michael McDonald again however.

I'm re-reading Jennifer Government, by Max Barry. the back of the book actually says "Jennifer Government is the best novel in the world ever." Any book that brazen has to be good. (and it is!)

Seriously, this is an excellent book. It points out the dangers of overcapitalization in a postmodern society. I'd suggest it to anyone with the intelligence to fully appreciate it.

Edit: Is anyone else having problems with the guild not showing new posts as "new." Even if someone posts something, the little icon to the left of the thread remains white. I dunno, maybe it's my computer. It's only like this in the guild, though.

Nothing right now. Sad, soon I will read the short stories, Sandkinds, Dogfight and Face Value, followed by I, Robot. Then I finally get to pick my own books to read.

Nothing crying all the books I can find are those hopeless teenage romance/sex books, however I'm looking for some to buy, Do you know how hard it is to find a nightmare inducing story ¬.¬ I blame my dad for desensitising (sp?) me...

I hate going to and all girls school, I bet if I went to a mixed school there would be a book with some kind of content other than sex and romance

Les Miserables - Victor Hugo. Brilliant so far.

If you are reading the abridged version I will strangle you. stare
However, since you are here you must be a literary person and wouldn't degrade the beauty of good literature.

I've read it, unabridged. I love it. It's such a pictoral book, the fluency and visions it brings are just awe-inspiring.

For English, I'm re-reading "The Catcher in the Rye"

For me, I'm reading "Firethorn" by Sarah Micklem. Not intellectual, but not a bad read, either.

Unabridged. Although the chapter near the start about the comparing the trends at the time of the setting with the trends at the time it was written is quite confusing, all the rest is quite relevant to the story, and I fail to see how it could be abridged.
