Alright, so, when writing in romaji, I don't know how to write out small tsu, ya, yu, and yo...
With particles, do you write the actual character or the way it's pronounced? (ie: watashi ha aaron desu. vs. watashi wa aaron desu.)
Is hu really written as fu?

There are different types of romanization.. Most commonly I've seen... Yes, Hu is Fu. No small characters.. Example "ma[small tsu]ta is "matta". Is is "wa". I do not have the ability to write in Japanese on my comuter.. If you want to see the romanizations of more characters though, you can go http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hiragana <

you write how it's pronounced.
Small 'tsu' doubles the following consonent. ッツ っつ
You write it how it is said. Wa, e, etc...
extended vowels you write the vowels (in hiragana you can tell if it's oo, or ou.) If it's the katakana line write out the vowel. ケーキ keiki
ふ is fu. There is no 'hu'
May I ask if you know kana? The small 'ya, yu, yo' is something you should know when you learn kana. You drop the 'i' in the big letter and add the ya, yu, yo part.
ki+ya= kya き+や=きゃ

Mikagi-sama Small 'tsu' doubles the following consonent. ッツ っつ so would 'school' be written 'gakkou'? Quote: May I ask if you know kana? The small 'ya, yu, yo' is something you should know when you learn kana. You drop the 'i' in the big letter and add the ya, yu, yo part.
ki+ya= kya き+や=きゃ Yes I do, but I was never taught romaji translations... And Thank you for the explination, it made a lot of sence.
