This is where Team 2 will play out their FATE scenario.
PostPosted: Thu Jun 14, 2007 6:13 pm

Spaz watched with eager anticipation--and a little fear--as the empty room shifted and warped. Trees sprung up out of the ground and grassy turf spread out across the ground like ripples across the surface of a pond. The looming darkness of FATE's chamber changed to a subtle green light as the sun filtered down through the thick foliage overhead, and the sounds of wildlife and nature came from all around them to fill the dead silence that had seemed so prevalent only moments before.

Spaz turned in a circle, feeling the grass beneath his toes, and was amazed by the rapid change as the verdure shot off in every direction. Wait, they had been in a room with finite dimensions, right? Was it just the illusion of open air, or had the machines of FATE somehow created a room with an interior larger than its exterior? The very idea made Spaz's head hurt, but he suspected he could walk for miles without bumping into a wall.

Turning to Kali, he cracked his knuckles.

"So... which way do you think we should go?"

((That's cool, I know firsthand how tiring running an RP can be, and sometimes you just don't feel like updating. Take your time, bro))

{{No prob, my dumb-a** computer has a virus again anyways...stupid crappy Virus protection...}}

Kali shrugged, flicking some dust off of her newly aquired clothes. They were much better than the barf encrusted ones she had had on before... "No clue..." She said, turning around to survey their surroundings. "Hey this place is pretty cool." She said after a few moments.

Breaking into a run, Spaz leapt up and wrapped his arms around a nearby tree. Using his claws, he quickly scaled the trunk and hoisted himself up onto a branch rougly fifteen feet off the ground. He crouched there with his forearms resting on his knees, and grinned down at Kali.

"It may be fake, but I likes it here."

"Yeah..." She looked around. "It's actually kinda...really pretty here..." She looked at Spaz, wishing she could climb up too. However, a sword and a rifle hampered that ability slightly...

"All right, the quicker we get this over with the sooner we can get out." Grabbing onto the branch beneath him, Spaz leaned backwards and swung beneath it. At the top of his swing he let go and flipped lazily through the air to hit the ground and roll to his feet.

Humming cheerfully, he started walking in the direction that offered the clearest path. The tranquil setting didn't fool him for a second, he knew that at any moment things were going to get rough.

Kali followed Spaz mutely, wondering what exactly was in store for them...

((Team 2))

Even though the wide expanse of the forest seemed to bring countless possibilities...it seemed as though they couldn't just travel anywhere. It was almost like a poorly-made video game; paths were clear-cut and lined up very definitively...and it seemed that this place didn't go on forever, that there was some specific end to it all. What was weirder yet was that it felt as if you couldn't really do all that much exploring...it really was some odd type of simulation in that sense...

It was just a hunch, but...were there invisible walls around this place? It felt so expansive, yet so...inward and insular. Such an odd feeling. Had to place. And the sunlight...why hadn't it invoked any changes in Spaz yet? So strange...

Anyways, there was one main path in front of the group...after a short while, it seemed to split off in a three-directional fork. But they hadn't made it very far when...

<>

3 imps jumped out from behind a couple of trees, snickering and giggling. They were just like the ones Spaz had seen in Subania...except red? No weapons seemed to be in sight, either.

((No green flash, so no easy-kill, right?))

♫Oh oh oh ooooh...♫

Heheheh, looked like it was finally time to fight. Spaz cracked his knuckles and slid his right foot forward, shifting into a Jeet Kune Do offensive stance (he didn't know how he knew it, he just did).

♫Oh oh oh ooooh...♫

HUH!

Lunging forward so fast his feet seemed to slide across the ground, Spaz threw a lightning-quick two-punch combo at the first Imp while Douglas Carl's greatest hit played in the back of his head.

♫Everybody was Kung Fu fighting...♫

((Spaz))

[Correctamundo!]

His fists slammed hard into the creature, sending it straight into a tree...or a would-be tree. The whole invisible wall thing, sadly, seemed to be right. But...how, then, had these thing come from behind the barriers? So weird. Anyway, the howling screech that erupted from the poor thing seemed to be a good indicator that Spaz just kicked some major a**.

(36 damage!)

{{*snicker* I love that song...}}

Kali jumped back in surprize, letting out a small scream. Grabbing ahold of the shotgun she must have forgotten exactly how to use it, because she swung it at one of the red imp thingies like a club of sorts. "What the hell are these things?!" She yelped.

((Team 2))

The big gun didn't really have much effect as a blunt weapon, but it served its purpose nonetheless. The beast spun around from the mere force of the blow...which was pretty cool.

<> to Imp 2

(32 damage!)

...having recovered from the combo punches, the first Imp clutched his hands together in a double fist and screamed...

<>

His muscles slowly began to beef up as he entered a slight state of entrancement.

Meanwhile, the second Imp, having just recovered from his attack, whirled around, punching Kali straight in the gut. It didn't hurt too bad, but sucked nonetheless.

<> to Kali

(25 damage!)

Well, now this was unfair. Seizing the opportunity for a surprise attack, it body checked you, sending you to the ground, hard.

(25 damage) + (10 combo damage!)

Time to fight back.
