TEXAS'S THOUGHTS ON OTHERS Seiana .....She's my mother. I wonder if having all four of us around stresses her out at all...
Aysu .....I don't understand her and I never will. We're exact opposites in all ways and I find her rather annoying.
Esmée .....Someone tell this girl to stop being so intelligent and snarky. Maybe then she wouldn't be so annoying.
Criofan .....My brother is pretty cool I guess. He's better than my sisters, at least.
Hyacinthus Floros .....Hyacinthus, or Cinthy as he prefers, is very different than any other person I know. He enjoys making things beautiful, going on adventures, having fun, insects, and pretty much everything my sisters hate, too. I saved his life, too! Cinthy's my best friend.

RAIN, RAIN, GO AWAY, LITTLE BOYS WANT TO PLAY Texas Pete tries to find fun by following Hyacinthus Floros. Here.Seiana_ZI It was raining.
It had been raining for the last eternity.
It had probably only been about a week, but to Texas Pete, it certainly seemed like eternity. He loved the beautiful, sunny days with flowers in full bloom, picnics, barbecues, cool beach weather, and chances to conquer various activities to look impressive. Did the rain allow for any of that? No.
He slid against the wall of the Pae'il Headquarters, falling on his rear and groaning in misery. What was he supposed to do in this dreary weather? Aysu loved it, which he would never understand. Esmée just wanted to play those board games. Criofan O'Kane would rather run around stealing stuff.
Wasn't there someone around who knew how to have fun? Persephone13 What a pretty little doll he had found. The soft, plush doll was a humanoid girl with soft fuzzy hair. She wore a frilly nightgown and had blue felt for eyes. Hyacinthus would make sure that she was beautiful.
He wandered around, clutching the doll and wondering where he could find some clothes for her. She'd need some nice shoes too. Maybe a bow in her hair. Not for his hair, of course. He didn't need it.
When he walked into the playroom, he saw another boy in the room who looked pretty bored. Too bad for him. Right now, Hyacinthu was hard at work on a very important task of dressing this little girl as well as possible. She needed to look her best because, in his opinion, everyone deserved to look pretty. It was just right. Seiana_ZI A another boy crossed his vision. What luck! Perhaps he knew something fun to do! ...Of course, then, he spotted the little doll. He was dressing a doll? That sounded like something Aysu might do, except she would probably get bored and go find something that was already pretty.
Still, he was probably more interesting than sitting against the wall and getting angry with the weather. The demon shrugged, getting off the wall. Perhaps Texas Pete could follow him for a little while before determining if he was going to be somewhat interesting.
...Of course, he was not exactly a little sneak like his so-called leprechaun toddler brother. In fact, he was a better sneak! Well, Pete, Texas Ranger liked to think he was sneaky, anyway. Persephone13 Where could he find the clothes for the doll? Maybe he could find her something light purple. It should be a pretty purple that reminded him of the lavender bear his mother gave him. "Excuse me," said Hyacinthus to the little boy. "Where are the clothes for the dolls?" He didn't see anything wrong with the question or with asking it of a boy. If the boy sneered, he'd just say something mean back to him. That was good enough. Seiana_ZI He was ruined already?! ...Well, this boy must have been good to notice him. Texas Pete would give him that much. "You can usually find doll clothes in that box over there." Criofan had recently emptied out that box in hopes of finding something shiny. When he found nothing, he had tossed all of the objects back there in one giant mess and crawled off.
"Good luck finding anything useful in that thing, though." Persephone13 He liked this boy. "Okay. Thanks." He smiled at him then wandered over to the pile. "Okay, dolly, let's make you pretty." He threw toys into another pile. "Look, it's a yellow dress. Now let's find you some shoes...." He continued like this, talking to the doll as if it were another person because for a moment, it was a real person. He knew that it wasn't living, but for his purposes he'd pretend that the doll was a girl who needed a new wardrobe. Seiana_ZI What was so fun about dressing a doll? It was just a doll, probably something a baby or toddler dragged around lovingly. Babies seemed to find it annoying when someone made their dolls look better anyhow. Ah well. Texas Pete did not care if the baby who owned the doll yelled at the pink boy for changing the doll. That was his fault!
...Still wasn't giving him anything to do, though. Persephone13 With luck, however, someone wouldn't come around to take the doll. He knew that it wasn't his, so he wouldn't keep it for too long. Just long enough to make her look prettier than she looked before because there was nothing wrong with that.
After picking out the appropriate clothes, he wandered to another part of the room where he could dress the doll properly and give her good accessories. He didn't have much intention of playing with the doll. Maybe he could find a girl to give her to. Seiana_ZI There were no girls around, unfortunately for Hyacinthus and thankfully to Texas Pete. The only girls Texas knew were his sisters and they were both incredibly annoying. How could they be having fun in this weather?! They certainly weren't doing anything interesting...
This boy, though, was interesting. Why was he so concerned with dressing the doll? It seemed a tad odd to the young boy--wasn't the thing fine the way it was? "Hey," he called, "why're you doing that?" Well, that was certainly one way to get an answer. Persephone13 He looked up at the other boy. "Because I want her to be pretty. All she has right now is just pajamas. She should have a nice dress." He showed the clothes that he had picked out. "See? This one has sunflowers and white hearts. And it's not got stains on it like some of the other stuff. I think someone should clean those clothes." Seiana_ZI This boy talked a lot. He liked people who talked a lot, even if they were talking about trying to make some little kid's doll pretty. "They're just doll clothes, so I doubt anyone's going to clean them." Texas Pete tilted his head. "After all, most little kids like having their dolls dirtied." Not that he would know that. Really. Persephone13 "Well, I don't like it when dolls are dirty." He smoothed out the doll's hair before putting her in the dress. "I like keeping pretty things or else they're not very pretty anymore." Seiana_ZI This is where this little kid's love of pretty things was different than his sister's. If someone was not pretty or used to be pretty, Aysu would not make it pretty. This boy, however, seemed determined to. That made him alright. "Well, I guess that is... um... what's the word?" He was trying to remember that large word Esmée kept using, not very successfully.
After a couple seconds, he said, "Oh! Logical." Persephone13 "Hmm? What's logical?" He tossed the nightgown aside. Now to add her shoes. Her feet were made for wearing shoes, so he tossed them aside near the nightgown and wondered off to find some knitted footies before returning. Seiana_ZI "Esmée says it means that something makes sense. Or something like that." Shrugging, he watched the boy head over to get some shoes for the doll. When he returned, Texas Pete asked, "So, what's your name?" If he was going to talk with this fae, he might-as-well know who he was, right? Persephone13 He pulled the shoes on the doll before fluffing her hair again. "I'm Hyacinthus Floros," he said clumsily, tripping over his first name. "My first name is a flower and my second name is Greek for 'green' because my mommy is Greek. Who are you?" Seiana_ZI "Who are you?" was the same question as "What's your name?" right? Texas thought so, so he would reply, "I am Texas Pete!" He pointed to himself confidently and raised his head to make himself seem more heroic. It only worked at a certain angle. At another, he looked like the typical braggart little kid. The boy then relaxed his shoulders. "Y'all can call me whatever you want, though. Can I call you Hya?" Persephone13 "No, I like being called Cinthy." He didn't know too much about being cordial or polite in certain instances, preferring to just say what it was he wanted or needed. "I want to call you Tex. Okay?" While that could be misinterpreted as being demanding, he actually was a rather passive child who would take things the way that they were. Just because he said that he wanted something didn't necessarily mean that he would get it. Seiana_ZI Cinthy? That was hardly heroic. Texas would rather call him Hya, but he wouldn't argue with the demanding child. Though he liked to be seen as tough, Texas Pete was rather laid-back and tended to stay out of argumentative situations. "Sure, Tex is a good nickname." He always had liked Tex, anyway. Tex sounded cool. Persephone13 "Okay, Tex. Thanks." His parents had taught him to always thank someone whenever they give him what he wanted. "What kind of things do you like?" Seiana_ZI "I like sunny days." He glared out at the rainy outdoors as best as a little boy could. "But I like other things too. What do you like?" Persephone13 "Hmmm...I like pretty things. Like irises, and luna moths, and special birds, and bows in girl's hair, and...um...." He rubbed his chin as if he had a beard like he had seen some of the male guardians do. No men lived at his house, so his parents told him to watch some of the adult pae'il men for understanding how boy pae'ils behave since that was what he was curious about. There were times when he wanted to know that he was doing the right thing and acting the right way. Seiana_ZI Cinthy got bonus cool points for liking a type of insect. Aysu just squirmed and exclaimed that they were gross whenever Texas stuck one in her face. He could overlook the fact that Hyacinthus enjoyed bows in other people's hair. Bows were annoying. "Anything else?" Surely, the um meant something or other. Persephone13 "Um...swimming, running, playing hide-and-go-seek, um...climbing, I guess." He shrugged, finished with accessorizing the doll. Now she looked pretty enough. "Is there anyone I can give this to?" He had figured out pretty early on that, in general, boys would sneer if he offered them dolls that he had made pretty. Seiana_ZI Did he know anyone? ...Nah. "Nope. Sorry, Cinthy." Well, Texas actually did know Aysu, but he did not want to give anything to her or have anyone give anything to her. She could yank pretty things out of her bag at will anyway. There was no point in someone else giving her stuff. Persephone13 "Oh. Okay. I guess I can put it over here." He wandered over to the toy box and set the doll nice on top of it so it'd be in plain view of the next girl who walked in. "What do you want to do now?" Seiana_ZI Hopefully Aysu would not be the next girl to walk in. That would simply be irritating. "I'd like to do anything fun. This weather is boring." Hyacinthus seemed promising. Did he know anything that was of interest besides dressing up dolls? He had to... Persephone13 "Okay. Let's go find something." He took Texas Pete's hand because that was his manner so he could lead him out of the room. "We could find something fun." Seiana_ZI Texas Pete was fine with holding hands, surprisingly. He did not put up and sort of fit about it and followed along. "There has to be something interesting in this building." Right? The Pae'il Headquarters supposedly had everything, but he did not know if that was true or if it was just something Esmée made up to be annoying.. Persephone13 "My mommy told me about a special room in the basement. It's supposed to be cool, but I don't know what there. I don't know if we're allowed to go there either." But she never told him that he couldn't go down there. That would've made it okay, right? If not, he wasn't sure what he'd do. It wasn't something that hurt them, right? So far as he could tell, no or else she would have told him so. His parents were good about warning him what was bad and what was good. Punching someone was bad, but punching a pillow was good. That sort of thing. Seiana_ZI Exploration. His sister tended to go on random adventures without thinking too hard on the consequences, so naturally, any sort of exploration reminded him of her. It didn't matter, though. To children, exploration was fun, and soon curiosity overtook any distaste he had for being too similar to his sisters. "I'm sure it's worth exploring. Shall we?" He gave an ear-to-ear grin to the boy holding his hand. Persephone13 He always liked it when he made people smile. Hyacinthus smiled in turn at his new companion. "Do you know anything about the room?" He thought about finding his parents to ask them, but then they might tell him not go there after all or they'd give him a chore to do. He wasn't interested in a chore of any kind. Seiana_ZI He shook his head. "Nah. I don't know much about the areas of this place; I try not to get couped up here often." Hopefully, Hyacinthus knew enough about this place to guide him there. It sounded like a promising adventure. Perhaps he could finally have some fun... Persephone13 "Oh, okay." He swung their hands as they walked, smiling at his new friend. "Do you have any brothers or sisters? I'm an only child." He liked holding hangs with Texas because he didn't mind like some other boys might. His mother had warned him about the possibility of a boy not liking that gesture. Girls didn't mind it, of course. Seiana_ZI Good thing Hyacinthus hadn't run into Esmée yet... "Actually, I have three siblings. They're all children like me, but my sisters are older." Texas nodded. Like Hyacinthus, he enjoyed rambling on a bit. "Esmée is my oldest sister and she's purple. She's annoying and an angel smarty pants too. Aysu is my other sister and she's a naiad. She likes this weather which I don't understand. And Criofan O'Kane is my younger fae brother and he likes stealing people's stuff and being lucky." His explanations were oversimplifying each of them, but Texas Pete didn't think there was anything more to say about them. Persephone13 "Purple is my favorite color. Esmée sounds like she's pretty." He wanted to meet her now, but he could do that later with Tex because he didn't seem to like her all that much. Hyacinthus wandered down an empty hall, trying to figure out where the stairwell to the basement might be. "Does Criofan always steal things? I wouldn't want him to steal my stuff or my mommy's stuff." Seiana_ZI "She looks more like a clown," sneered Texas, mocking his sister's markings. Who else besides clowns had such cheek spots? Of course, he was just mean to his eldest sister. That was his job... and, well, he really didn't like her. "And yes, he does. He's gotten better at simply tricking people out of their belongings now, though." Persephone13 "Oh. Well, I don't want him taking my things. He shouldn't do that because it's wrong." More like it was wrong when other people did it to him. He often borrowed things and forgot to ask, but his intention was to give it back later. "Where's the staircase?" he mumbled, his words trailing off ask he looked around. They saw no one else down this hall, but Hyacinthus was starting to wish that they had. With someone else around, they could ask that person for help. Seiana_ZI "He's a leprechaun, whatever that means. I guess that means it's expected of him to steal." Well, it wasn't so much expected as it was fact. Leprechauns were known for their ability to trick people out of their belongings, and that was what Criofan did without problem. It was a bit unfortunate for everyone else on the Isle, but at least he did not steal from Texas. "I don't know. We should go find it." With a firm, confident nod, the child started off in a whole new direction. If there was truly everything in this place, a staircase had to be nearby... Right? Persephone13 He trotted after his new friend, admiring his confidence. He didn't see himself as being overly confident, but he didn't see himself as meek either. "So what kind of mommy do you have--I see the stairs!" He pointed excitedly at a hallway that looked like it might be a staircase. "That's where we can go. What do you think is in that special room?" Seiana_ZI Texas was going to ask what exactly Hyacinthus meant by saying 'type of mother,' but Hyacinthus changed the subject himself, pointing out the hallway excitedly. The confident child grinned. He knew he would get them to the right area! "I don't know. Maybe there's a swimming pool, or some games, or a television, or some stuff." Texas shrugged. What did people keep in basements, anyway? It seemed to change depending on which house he went in. Persephone13 "Maybe there's a big jungle gym, and drawers filled with clothes, and markers that never run out no matter how much you used them. Or paint! Then we can paint on the walls and make it pretty!" Now Hyacinthus was practically skipping behind his friend. Seiana_ZI Texas couldn't help his mild chuckle. Hopefully, they had what Hyacinthus wanted. He deserved the paint after giving Texas something to do in this boring, stupid Headquarters. Once approaching what was indeed a staircase, he jokingly bowed and gestured to it. "After you, Cinthy." He had gained some sense of gentlemanly behavior already, but who knew if it would last. Persephone13 He smiled gratefully. "Why thank you, Tex." Suddenly, he pinched the demon pae's cheek and bounded down the steps before Texas Pete could catch him. Of course, boldness did have its consequences. Halfway down the stairs, he misstepped. In a panic, he clung to the railing for dear life. The little pae boy yelped quietly, for a moment terrified that he'd fall. A child had trouble articulating danger but was excellent at sensing it. Seiana_ZI Texas went to chase after him, but before he caught up, Hyacinthus fell. Well, he couldn't have that happening. Heroically, he made his way over and offered his hand to help the boy up. "Here, I'll help." Hyacinthus was amusing him. If he let Hyacinthus get hurt, that would destroy all of his fun... Persephone13 He clung to his new friend's hand, allowing himself to be pulled up. "Thanks. We should hold hands when we walk down." Hyacinthus liked having someone whose hand he could hold wherever he went. "I shouldn't have runned down the stairs. I'll have to remember not to do that next time...." Seiana_ZI "Alright." Texas waited for Hyacinthus to gain his bearings before starting down the stairs. "That's okay! You're safe with me around!" Okay, so he just had to be heroic when Hyacinthus remarked that he shouldn't run down the stairs. After all, Texas had saved him from an almost disastrous fall. He had rights to act heroic, right? POWERS? In the quest to be better than his sisters, Texas decides to get a power. Here.Quote: How Texas Pete loved to brag. He was not conceited, for children were not often conceited, but he had the typical childish love of showing off to his peers and elders. He wanted to show that he was cool, tough, and more interesting than summer vacations. So, naturally, when he found out that Esmée and Aysu had powers, he had no choice but to get himself one.
After all, he had to be better than they were. He had no choice in the matter. It was written in his blood. ...Besides, it wouldn't stop raining anyway. This could be some brief fun.
"Okay, so there's some shelves, and there's some stuff on each one. Take one from each shelf, put it in the bottle, gulp." He crossed his arms as he looked to the shelves. That wasn't too bad. He could have probably figured that out without the assistance of the note left on the counter. Swiping the beaker, he ventured towards the three shelves.
What in Pete's name was this stuff? Hellebore Seed? Flixweed? Bicorn Blood? What exactly was a bicorn? He glanced at the shelf suspiciously, wondering if he should even bother trying to analyze this stuff. It could be dangerous... Nah! He laughed in the face of danger! Texas Pete knocked a random object into the bottle and carried on.
The second shelf consisted of various jugs. Their names were underneath the jugs. Where had the gold gone? Had Criofan ran through here? No matter. He glanced at what was left. Silver, Adamantium--whatever that was--Steel, Bronze, Mithrill. Well, his eldest sister had used Steel, so he wasn't going to use that. That left second place, the long word, third place, or thrills. The Mithrill reminded him of summer days when the sky was clear and blue. He would chose that one, pouring it into his beaker.
Last, but not least, the third shelf. All the ingredients were there on this shelf. They were colored powders of some sort. He instantly ruled out the red one, knowing that his sister had used it, even though he did love the color red. He decided to settle on second best, snatching the brown off the shelf and sprinkling it into his mixture.
Shake it up, down the hatchet.
"Someone put too much salt on those pretzels..." Texas Pete scrunched his nose after setting the empty beaker down. "No matter. At least I picked something different than my sisters." Well, that fun had ended quickly. No matter. He could go back to the Pae'il Headquarters and simply kick back and relax like he would on the days of the lazy summer now that he had gotten his power.
(( He rolled a 32. ))

THE RAIN'S GONE! ...BEACH TIME! Now that the rain has finally ended, Texas makes a run for the beach. Here.Seiana_ZI Finally! It had stopped raining, much to Texas Pete's delight. He was so sick of the constant rain that he had begun to sleep most of the day for lack of anything else to do. Thankfully, before his sleep became too common, Seiana woke him up and informed him the rain was over once and for all. After celebrating with some chocolate cake, he tore out of the house and headed for the beach.
Sighing, Seiana sent his older sister after him. She was old enough now to care for him, right? They lived close enough to the beach anyway, even if they lived in the Headquarters... Right?
"Little bro!"
Texas audibly groaned as soon as he heard the voice. "Go away. I was having fun and your ugly face is wrecking it." Esmée was appalled at being called ugly, but Texas moved on to a different part of the beach and settled there, burying his feet in the water.
It was so nice to finally feel the cool sand between his toes and to feel the water splash against his legs. Certainly, it had been a while, and Texas was pleased that the while was, at long last, over and done with. immortalmina Hula Bob walked down the beach with his great granddaughter. He wanted to show her some of the things the beach had. He knew everything about the beach, for he never left it.
"And over here is...oh Aloha!" Hula Bob called to the child that was sitting there.Waikiki KiKi wanted to see more of the beach and her Grand Hula Grandaddy wanted to show her. Plus, she wanted to use her power a bit more.
Kiki saw the boy and smiled. Someone her age and not her twin. "Aloha!" Seiana_ZI Those voices didn't sound familiar. Good! That meant that they weren't the voices of his siblings. He would not have minded the voices of Hyacinthus Floros or his mother, but these new voices would do just as well.
"Hello there!" He assumed 'aloha' was a greeting, so he greeted them in turn with the greeting he knew best. The boy twisted around to wave to them, but soon turned back to the water, enjoying the way the sunlight reflected on the waves. Though there were clouds, the water was still a clear blue, and Texas loved it that way.
As he looked across the expanse of water, he took a cautious glance to the left. His sister was still there. Lovely. Wouldn't she just go away? immortalmina Hula Bob smiled and waved. "May we join you Dude?" He asked as he sat down. It was a nice day, now, and he did like to enjoy it with new friends. Which, to Bob, everyone was a friend he hadn't met yet.
"I'm Hula Bob and this is Waikiki KiKi. She is my great granddaughter." He nodded.Waikiki KiKi giggled and sat down. She then made a small wave that came from Texas Pete's feet turn into a dog. "Aloha. Nice day, right?" Seiana_ZI "No problem!" The young boy swatted at Hula Bob to show that there wasn't a problem with him sitting down and that there was no reason to ask before turning back to the waves. Of course, when he did, he found a surprise. That wave wasn't a wave anymore. He reeled in surprise.
He pointed to the watery dog in confusion before looking to one of them. They assumed one of them had to do it. "'It's a good day, but where did the water dog come from?" These people must have had powers too. They were probably far cooler than the powers of his ridiculous sisters,
...Okay, he only hated their powers because he didn't have one of his own yet, but so what? immortalmina Waikiki KiKi giggled. "I am a wave shaper. I can shape the wave...but not make one...unless by my foot or something." Cause well, everyone could make a wave that way. "What's your name?""It's a totally awesome power Waikiki KiKi. I have this." Hula bob shot some fireworks into the sky. They were red and green. Very pretty. Which was why he liked his power. Beauty that could be used for a weapon, not that he ever would unless he had to. Seiana_ZI "Texas Pete, but you can just call me Texas!" Tex was a good name too, but now he reserved that for his best friend Hyacinthus. He wouldn't let anyone else call him Tex for some reason. "Can I just call you Kiki? Wakikikiki is a tongue twister." Of course, it didn't help when he crushed the entire name into one word.
He turned back to the water dog, reaching out to see if he could pet it. Before he could, though, bright lights distracted him. "Ooh..." Children were naturally fascinated with fireworks. He stared up at the glowing lights with big, fascinated eyes. He had never seen such a thing! immortalmina "Another two namer. And you're not related, are you?" Hula Bob chuckled. Most of the pae's with two names like his were some how related. It has become a tradition. "Bob is okay with me, but I do like Hula Bob more."Waikiki KiKi giggled. "I guess that's okay. Why not Pete then?" She shurgged at that. He picked his first name instead of the last like her KiKi. Waikiki KiKi then made the dog go back to water. Seiana_ZI Related? He had never heard of being related to Hula Bob or Kiki or other people with long names unless his little brother counted. Texas shook his head. "Nope! I'm related to nobody!" Well, he was related to his mother and his siblings, but his mother said that he was blood related to no one. He wasn't exactly sure what that was supposed to mean, but he eventually figured that he had no 'real' family ties, just adopted ones if there was a difference.
"Yay, thank you Kiki!" Texas clapped his hands together, before turning back to the wave. The dog was gone! He pouted, but soon got over it when he turned back to the girl his age. "Well, Texas sounds cooler, I think. It sounds tough!" He pretended to flex his muscles. immortalmina Hula Bob nodded. He was just making sure there wasn't another grandkid out there he didn't know about. He did have a son he never saw along with his lost mate and now newly found lost daughter.
"It's awesome to meet you then Texas Pete." Oh no, Hula Bob never used the shortened. He was proud of his two names and if someone had it they were called it too.Waikiki KiKi giggled. "Oh, I dont' know about that. It's okay to call me KiKi as my brother is Waikiki Keanu and if you called me Waikiki I wouldn't know for sure which one you ment. Though he isn't here." She rambled a bit. Seiana_ZI It was a good thing Hula Bob had not come across Texas's younger brother, then. His name was quite a mouthful to be said fully all the time. So was Cinthy's. Texas noticed that Hula Bob seemed inclined to use both of his names, but it didn't make a difference to young Texas. "O'course it does!," replied Texas cheerfully to Kiki's giggles. After all, that awesome ranger that did roundhouse kicks had Texas in his name, so Texas had to be a tough name.
"Good to meet you too, Hula Bob. And you too, Kiki!" He turned to her in mild curiosity as she brought up her brother. "How many siblings do you have?" Did they all have Waikiki in front of their names? Didn't it get confusing? Waikikikiki and Waikikikeanu--both were very long names. (Of course, he never once thought of making them two words.) immortalmina Hula Bob chuckled. "Sure, Texas can be I guess. If that's what you want it to be. Awesome." To Hula Bob a name was whatever a person wanted it to be. If it was Tough Texas Pete wanted then that's what it should be."Me? I have one twin brother. He looks like me only he is a boy. It's sorta odd I hear, but then again I wouldn't know." She rambled on again. "What about you?" Seiana_ZI Texas grinned at Hula Bob. He saw that the name was tough! Good, that meant Texas was tough, right? Hula Bob wasn't the only person who thought it was a tough name, after all. The young boy flexed his muscles proudly once again before thinking on a response to Kiki.
"Well," he began, "Mama says I don't have any 'blood relations.' I'm not sure exactly what that means. But I have two sisters and a brother. My oldest sister's over there." He pointed to the annoyed purple girl who did not seem to want to be there. It was mostly because Texas Pete was so rude to her, admittedly. "Aysu's a naiad and she's at home, like my fae little brother Criofan." immortalmina "Ohh... I have one of those. A little baby that looks all flowery. But my only blood related is my twin. Like I said before. Looks like me." Waikiki KiKi explained with a smile. "My Mommy and Daddy found her. My flowery sister. She was in a leaf."Hula Bob didn't know much about KiKi's new sister. Still, he was happy his grandson's family was growing. It was always nice to have love and laughter. Seiana_ZI A baby that came from a flower? How odd. He nodded, intrigued with the idea of a baby growing out of a flower. "Wow, that's cool!," exclaimed Texas suddenly. "I've never seen a baby come out of a flower before. Do you like her, or does she act odd?" The young boy always enjoyed learning about others, so long as those others weren't his own siblings. He sat and listened for her response. immortalmina "Oh, I don't know. She's just a toddler. Just like any, I guess." Waikiki KiKi didn't know much about them anyway. So, if she was odd KiKi wouldn't have noticed.Hula Bob chuckled. "So, Texas Pete what do you like to do? I like to surf, hula, limbo and take care of my bar." He nodded and pointed down the beach to his bar and home. Seiana_ZI "Criofan was a toddler a little while ago. Now he's a kid." He tapped his chin. He had never known his sisters as toddlers, though. That was a good thing to him. The less he knew of those two nuisances, the better it was for him...
What did he like to do? He turned to Hula Bob with a pensive expression as he thought carefully about what he enjoyed. "Well, I enjoy being outdoors." That was a pretty basic answer. What else could he say? "I like exploring new things, relaxing, and being brave. 'cause I'm very, very brave." He liked to think himself brave, anyway. Typically, he did seem to be a very confident child. immortalmina Waikiki KiKi chuckled. "Yeah? I like being outdoors too, but I don't like mud. It's yucky and not fun. Surfing is though, you shoudl try it sometime.""Being brave? That's a nice thing. It's always good to protect others..." Hula Bob trailed off. He wasn't brave. He knew that if he was he'd be able to leave the beach. Seiana_ZI "Surfing?" Texas tilted his head. What was surfing? It must have had something to do with the outdoors and probably with the beach they were at, but that was all he could decipher. Did it have to do with being brave? Texas liked being brave.
"Uh-huh, it's good to be brave," he quickly affirmed for Hula Bob. "I saved my bestest friend once!" It was hard to tell if he was exaggerating or telling the truth from the sound of his voice, though Texas was certain that he had saved him from certain doom. Then, he asked, "Is surfing a brave thing to do?" immortalmina "I guess surfing is brave if you happen to be scared of water or something." Hula Bob smiled. It wasn't really, but hey might as well make it look better. "Surfing it riding the water waves and currents on a piece of wood."Waikiki KiKi giggled. "It's really fun. You should get lessons sometime. Grand Hula Daddy is great at it!" Seiana_ZI The little boy nodded in intrigue when Hula Bob referred to surfing as brave. If it was brave, Texas needed to learn how to surf. After all, he needed to be as brave as he could be so he was better than his older sisters.
"Yeah! I should learn to surf!" Kiki had a great idea! He should learn to surf some day, so he could be better. Of course, Texas would like to try it out himself first; as unwise as that seemed, it was brave! immortalmina Hula Bob smiled and nodded. "Well, whever you want to learn I teach down the beach near my bar. It's awesome." Hula Bob looked out to the water. He really needed to surf again too."I learned and it was fun. Then it got all stormy and then it rained. My mom and dad made me and my twin go in. It was a bummer really." Waikiki KiKi explained. Seiana_ZI "Okay! I'll come down sometime!" Yeah, he would go learn to surf so he could be awesome! It would make his older sisters mad, and that was all Texas ever wanted, it seemed. His sisters also seemed to be the only two people he actually couldn't find it in himself to like no matter what they did.
Though, what he despised more than them was that icky rain. He had met Cinthy through the rain, but that was the only good it did. "Eww, rain! I don't like rain. It was annoying when I had to stay inside for so long. There was nothing to do!" He pouted. immortalmina "Yeah, and I had to use the bath tube to try my power." Waikik KiKi added to Texas's reasons for the rain being unfun. "Though, I guess that worked pretty well." She smiled."Rain may not be fun for us, but it is needed. All plants and life need water. So, it's a needed annoyance." Hula Bob explained to the young ones. Seiana_ZI Texas turned his attention to Hula Bob. All plants and life needed water? Well, that made sense. Some seemed to need it more than others, like his sister Aysu. "Aysu needs a lot of water. She's a naiad." He had already said that earlier, but it seemed necessary for him to repeat for some reason. Then, he turned his attention to the water.
"Did rain help the lake come?" Rain was water, right? So maybe all the rain helped the lake develop over time. immortalmina "Yes, she would. Naiads need more then the rest of us." Hula Bob smiled. "Oh, well maybe it did in the beginning. I wouldn't know. I am old, but I'm totally not that old."Waikiki KiKi giggled. She knew he was old as he was 'Great' that was even older then her grandma Luau LuLu. Seiana_ZI Texas couldn't help his own childish giggles. "If you're not quite that old, how old are you?" Kiki referred to him as a Great Hula Granddaddy, so Texas could only assume that Hula Bob was quite old already. However, Texas couldn't make any guesses to how old he was only because Texas didn't know how old being a Great Hula Granddaddy made someone. immortalmina Hula Bob shook his head. "I'm old enough let's just say." He was now over 2 years old, but what was that really? He also had great grand kids. Some older them him didn't have those...then again some older then him had ever more relations."I think you are just right, Great Hula Grandaddy!" She said as she jumped into his lap. She wanted him to feel better and not old. Seiana_ZI Texas Pete snickered. "Okay, that works. You make yourself sound older when you say that, though." Unfortunately, kids tended to be terribly blunt. At least it let Hula Bob know that Texas saw him as very old, but he didn't seem to be very phased by it. He had to be pretty cool to be a surfer, right? Surfers were brave if surfing was a brave activity, and brave people were cool!
"I don't have any Great Hula Granddaddies. I'm first in line!" He pointed to himself proudly, even if his sentence didn't make a whole lot of sense to someone who didn't know the context. immortalmina Hula Bob just shook his head. "Trust me age is all in the mind. However age you feel is how old you are. And I'm totally not old." He winked. Hula Bob didn't mind it much to a child he was old, but to Bob he was far from it. There were paes even older then him after all."You cant' be a Great Hula Grandaddy, he is the only one. He is mine, Keanu and June's." She hugged her great grandpa around the middle with a smile, Seiana_ZI "Then if I'm an elder and still feel like a child, I can still be a child?" It was an interesting concept, one that never crossed Texas's mind before. So if he felt like a toddler, he could be a toddler, too? Cool! What if he felt like a teenager? Could he grow up before his body actually grew up? Such interesting questions!
He chuckled at Kiki. "Well, I don't have any great-grandparents, neither. So I definitely can't have a Great Hula Granddaddy!" Of course, he would have to be part of this family to have one of those... immortalmina Hula Bob shook his head. "Well, only in your mind. You body will be as old as it's ment to be. If it is time for you to grow then you will." Hula Bob explained best he could.Waikiki KiKi nodded her head. "Nope you can't. Sorry." She hugged her great grandpa tightly."Oh, but Waikiki KiKi I can be shared." He winked. Seiana_ZI "Ooh, okay. That sounds cool! I can be old and still act like a child!" That would be fun. Although, his sister always said that adults who saw other adults who acted like were usually creeped out by them... Not that the statements she made ever made sense. Ah well. "I won't be old for a while, though. I'm still a child." He admired himself as if it was a wonderful, beautiful thing to still be a child. immortalmina "Enjoy being a child. I never was. I was an egg, then floating head baby and then me! Awesome." Hula Bob was dating himself again, but he really didn't care.Waikiki KiKi just looked back at the sky. It was a pretty day now that the rain was gone. Seiana_ZI Texas started snickering quietly. "A floating head baby?! You mean you were just a head? That's silly! How did you grow a body, then?" As much as he didn't want to admit it, he, like his sister, was very curious. Unlike his sister, however, Texas was willing to ask questions instead of going on dangerous adventures to figure out answers.
...Of course, a beautiful beach wasn't at all dangerous anyway.

HOW ARE YOU, DARLING CINTHY? Texas Pete has become rather fond of a certain friend of his. Here.Seiana_ZI One person haunted him. Well, they did not haunt him. He was not a ghost from his past that lurked over his shoulder as he sat and thought. Luckily, he did not have any of those nuisances yet--and hopefully he never would, as Texas was not fond of worry. It was not in his nature to worry often, so when he did, it greatly concerned him. However, what weighed heavily on his mind was not worry. Rather, it was a specific person, a person whom Texas personally adored.
Texas ran a hand through his white hair and flexed his equally white wings. Speaking of the man, how was he? Texas hoped he was doing alright. If he was not, well, Texas would have to rectify that in every way he could once he found out. Still, he needed to find him before he could find out how exactly the man was. Perhaps he should seek out his best friend. Not that he usually did not try to seek him out--rather, it was quite the opposite--but Texas felt particularly attached of late.
The demonic happened to poke his head into the living room. What luck! That lovely pink man had to be the one he was looking for. "Cinthy!," called Texas excitedly, as he jogged towards the man. With luck, he was not too busy. He just wanted to spend time with him, really, and see how he was doing... Persephone13 "Tex!" chirped the faery pae, jumping up to hug him lightly. As he grew older, he realized that he wasn't supposed to greet other men with a hug because some people may not appreciate it. However, he knew that he could greet Texas however he wanted because he didn't mind. While they embraced, he playfully touched his wings.
As soon as they parted, he yanked him down to the ground. "I'm gonna have a new brother or sister! My parents went out to get her! This is so exciting because I'm really tired of being alone, you know? Being alone is okay, but sometimes it's nice to have someone else around." He hadn't grown out of talking a mile a minute. "But whatever. That's not important. I'm trying to decide what kind of clothes he or she should have. I can't have my little brother or sister looking really plain!" He fiddled with the gold, jeweled bracelet he had picked up from his parents. "Sorry, I'm talking a lot. How are you?" Seiana_ZI Naturally, Texas always accepted his hugs. It was hard to tell exactly why. Perhaps it was the attachment he felt to Hyacinthus, perhaps it was his friendship with the man, or perhaps it was just in Texas's nature to not mind such hugs and affection. However, he felt himself enjoying that wing touch a bit too much. With a teasing grin on his face, Texas returned the action by poking Hyacinthus's pink fae wings, all while muffling any enjoyment other than a typical platonic enjoyment that he may have derived from the action.
The demon let Hyacinthus yank him down to the ground and start talking on at a million miles per hour. Always willing to listen, especially to Hyacinthus, he nodded and acknowledged everything the energetic teenager was saying. He had always enjoyed listening to him, and perhaps it was more important to him to absorb everything Hyacinthus said to him like a sponge, no matter how insignificant it may have seemed at the time. It showed he cared about what the man had to say, right? "Talk as much as you please, Cinthy. You know I don't mind." With a small grin, he then replied, "Actually, it's amusing that you bring up a new sibling. I have another little brother now." Texas chuckled wearily. Persephone13 He gasped, a gleeful grin suddenly spreading over his face. "What's his name? How old is he? What are his colors? What's he like? I bet he really cute. What kind of pae'il is he? Wouldn't be so nice if he were a faery like me? He'd be so adorable!" He grabbed his friend's shoulder, bombarding him with all these questions. "Maybe your brother and my brother will be playmates just the way we were! That'd be so neat!" (( Continued in thread. ))

HALLOWEEN PARTY AND BIRTHDAY BASH Texas decides to go to the Halloween Party as Dr. Evil. Magnus is his kitten. Hopefully, this provides some fun... Here.(( Entrance Post: ))Seiana_ZI It felt a bit odd to be lacking hair. ...Well, okay, he wasn't really lacking hair. Rather, he had stuck it under some special costume hair-mask, keeping all of his bright white hair hidden. His face was powdered to make him look a bit paler than usual, and his eyebrows were amplified with a faint make-up pen. For his outfit, he wore a simple grey, long sleeved turtleneck coat with grey dress pants. His accessory was a young toddler faerie, laying in his arms and purring like the kitten he was dressed to look like. Texas smiled, stroking the little boy, who purred in delight. Admittedly, the little boy was just a budding attention whore, but he did honestly appreciate Texas.
When Esmée walked up to him and scoffed in disbelief that he could get the young boy to cooperate, Texas lifted his right pinky finger and stuck it right beside his mouth, a small smirk on his face. Esmée rolled her eyes. "Okay, Dr. Evil. I still don't understand how you get Magnus to cooperate so well."
Texas winked. "A natural talent, I guess. And what are you supposed to be?"
Esmée cracked her knuckles. "An assassin," stated she, quirking a brow. Her entire outfit was the color of black. The only parts of her body that were visible were her eyes and her nose, which stuck out from underneath the head wrapping. She had two very dull daggers contained in a cleverly hidden pocket off to the side. "So there. Have you seen Bneut?"
"Oh, you mean that dark purple one?" Esmée nodded, excitedly. "No. Sure he's around here somewhere, though." As Esmée pouted, Texas resumed stroking the young faerie. As irritating as he could be, the boy was adorable.
"Well... fine then! I'll go find him!" Esmée stuck her tongue out before storming off as childishly as she could. Hopefully, Bneut was not wearing a costume that would make him unrecognizable. If he did, she would never be able to find him at nighttime like this! Well, perhaps he would pick out her distinct appearance. Hopefully. Either that or she would actually find him. ...Why was she worrying about this? Why did it matter so much if she found him or not? Well, the answers to that were fairly obvious.
Texas rolled his eyes. "Esmée is silly, isn't she?"
The boy in his arms nodded. "She silly! Now spike punch?"
The demonic reeled, nearly dropping his accessory. However, he quickly recovered and resumed stroking the so-called kitten. "Maybe you're the silly one. Come on, Magnus." With that, he wandered further into the party. Maybe Hyacinthus was there somewhere...
