I say yes and no. Yes because it would cool to see what all the characters look like. No because it might be way different from the book. Twilight is a good book that should never ever be ruined in any way.

I just hope that they don't kill the book by making a movie. The book is always better and the movies sometimes aren't as good.

No matter how bad the movie maybe, the book will still be just as good as it is before hand.

I think so. If it sucks we can just kill the people that made it. XD

Personally I don't want them to. We've seen what they've done to the Harry Potter movies, the inaccuracy, the fast pace, everything wrong. So I don't want them to ruin Twilight for me. Now if Stephenie goes on set like Rowling did for HP, then it will be okay.

Yes, I do honestly believe that creating a great screen adaption is possible. Especially because how visually stimulating Twilight is. And I dont really believe in the "what about the perfect Edward!!!!! There is none, no one can do it!!1" argument. Of course there is someone, I mean you have to be thinking of some sort of an image in your head, you cant just be reading all the Edward scenes and visualizing it from behind his head or something.
I reckon Gaspard Ulliel is a perfect choice for Edward, because even if you dont find him flawlessly beautiful (leOMGcrazy gasp) he still is strikingly (tries to find the right word) unique, interesting ?? he draws you in, you know. You cannot get a hugely famous Hollywood guy or a singer, he has to be relatively unknown, you know?
Also remember- If they can make a man look like his entire body is covered in tentacles/octopus skin/claws etc (and do it so well) they can make a man shiny and pale
They really need a new writer/director though, they really do. They've started off on entirely the wrong foot. The woman who directed Thirteen and the woman who writes for The Oc ?? Are they trying to make it a preppy movie? They need a classy director and a really deep and professional writer if they want it to be a success to more than just twelve year olds.
those are my random, varyingly relevant thoughts on the movie mrgreen

About the whole Edward argument, there is no one who looks exactly like Edward, but there is always someone close. We just have to make sure he looks good with bronze hair and ice skin. And they would need a really good director and writer, one who really understands the book and can reenact it accurately on screen.

I say yes and no to the Twilight Movie.
I've looked at Steph's website about the movie and the only thing I was afraid of about the movie was that it would wind up like Blood and Chocolate. Annette Kurtiss Clause was not allowed to go anywhere near the movie and I think all they did was look at the back of the book and read the summary. They didn't even get THAT right. But anyway....
From what I've seen of what she's going to do to the movie is that she DOES have a say in how they do it, just not the actors. They've found some pretty decent actors/esses for Bella, Edward, Jasper and Charlie. I don't really like the Emmett ones. Rosalie was RIGHT ON. Or those were all the suggestions that Stephanie tried to make.
The movie should turn out fine and NOT like the HP movies.
1) There is not as much information or time to run through in the books. The Harry Potter books are each filled with five novels full of information that is hard to sort through if you're not a good reader.
2) As long as they cast everyone within a good margin of the character and try to keep everyone in character, then I don't see how they could get it wrong. It's not a hard book to screw up.
3) I'm only worried about the sparkly skin in the sunlight. If they butcher that....THEN we can kill them. They had also better not try to make Bella mexican or something. No offense to anyone or anything, it just wouldn't work.
