Tools for EVE

EveMon - An application designed to track your EVE character's progress, as well as allow you to plan skills. It also has a database of ships and items.

QuickFit - A tool for choosing and outfitting ships, so that you can plan your ship before buying the parts, and without having the necessary skills.

Tools not directly related to EVE

FRAPS - A Windows application for taking screenshots and movies in any game.

I got evemon and yeah its good if you definantly set on what you want to do, but I find that I dont really use it that much because my needs as a pilot change to much to hold down a fixed training schedule, tis just my opinion though

I love it because I have an alt, plus I help manage my 3 RL friends' characters, so it's nice to have a nice little list of everyone's training and when I should need to switch them. Also just with my main and my alt, I often forget what skills I was planning to do, so it's nice to help me stay on target.

You should also mention Quickfit. Though I don't like the program much myself, it is the best out there at the moment. Helpful for planning a ship setup before investing in the mods and finding out it doesn't fit afterall razz

evemon is really useful, but the baseprice thing is a bit useless dontcha think, noone ever sells tech 2 for baseprice, hence the reason I dont insure them haha *hugs ishtar* I hope nothing happens to it :S

Oh FRAPS is cool as well, it's a recorder that records videos. It works on all games so I make eve vids occasionally smile

Oh yes, the base price thing is crap. I just ignore it and go looking in game.

Please do continue to suggest new tools to list. I will edit the main post to add them when I get the time.

Not quite sure this counts as a 'tool' smile but this site has up to date market values in a searchable database.

OMG, EVEMon can actually utilize the G15 keyboard screen, of which I happen to have.

Needs to be said,
Quickfit hasn't been updated since revelations I.

I recommend using Eve Fitting Tool Instead.

Might also want to add the Eve Asset Manager

Does EveMon automatically start the next skill in the plan? Or do you have to do that manually?

You have to do it, I think it's for planning out your skill path.

Evemon is still a great asset for any eve player to have installed.
and yea, quickfit is no longer being updated, youll need to use Eve Fit Tool, which is nice anyways because battleclinic utilizes it.

Also, for the industrial-types out there, Eve-Meep is a nice tool for you to use.
