A: Firstly we don't use dice to determine our stats unlike in D&D or whatever. Secondly, here is an explanation from our lovely Her Shizzyness-sama ^__^Her Shizzyness Firstly, all academy students start out at level 1. Academy students suck. Tis the way of life. Also, you start out with 6 base points. Here's an example of how to start out with the base points and add the distribution points. I added the modifiers just because. ^^ [modifiers are explained in the next question]
Str: 6 + 2 = 8
Modifier: -1
Dex: 6 + 3 = 9
Modifier: -1
Con: 6 + 4 = 10
Modifier: 0
Int: 6 + 2 = 8
Modifier: -1
Wis: 6 + 2 = 8
Modifier: -1
Cha: 6 + 3 = 9
Modifier: -1
Chk: 6 + 4 = 10
Modifier: 0
The added points (not the 6s) all add up to 20, which is the amount of distribution points an academy student has. Check the Step-By-Step thread if you're creating a chuunin or jounin.
The changes in the stats and mods would also change you Hp, Cp, Dodge Bonus, etc. And directions on how to do the rest of the stuff should be in the "Step-By-Step Character Creation" thread in the Game System Forum.
Q: Tell me about mods. [modifiers]
A: Mods are important in the Battle System since they affect a lot of things like Skills etc. To determine mods, you get your stat, take 10 away from it and divide the result by two, rounding down.
For example let's say your Intelligence is 25 and you want to determine the mod so you can see how many Skill Points you can get.
25 - 10 = 15
15/2 = 7.5
7.5 round down = 7
So your mod would be +7.

Hair: Longish brown hair, almost shoulder length at the back, about chin length on the sides and his fringe hangs over his eyes. His hair is always a tangled mess as he doesn't really care about how it looks. Eyes: Dull tired looking blue grey eyes. Physical Description: Although the training his father has put him through has given him a bit of muscle build up there is for the most part not much of him, but either way it is hard to tell through the clothing he wears. The endless training his father forces him into has led him to look and be very tired, unwell looking and he is often exhausted. Clothing: He wears a white hooded short sleeved shirt over a long sleeved black top which appears too big for him as it hangs down over part of his shorts and it also hangs over the end of his finger tips. He started to take on more and more missions, train harder and longer probably trying to keep himself away from thoughts of his late wife. This led to Aoi practically growing up on his own, he had to learn how to care for himself from an early age and grew up to be self reliant as his father was barely home. A few years ago his father was wounded on a mission and even through days of surgery they could not undo the damage done to his body, his father returned home crippled. With his life of a ninja destroyed his father started training Aoi relentlessly determined to live his lost life through his child. Years were spent training Aoi an preparing him to take on his fathers life as a ninja until finally the day came for him to join the Academy. Aoi however does not care for the life of a ninja, it is after all his fathers wishes and that has led to him almost hating his father. Aoi only continues to try to become a ninja because he believes it will lead him to be able to follow his dreams of traveling the world. Personality: Extremely self confident almost arrogant at times, he can be rather anti-social, not being one to let people into his life easily. He also gets bored very easily, having a short attention span and is always one to speak his mind, he has no no regard for authority figures or his elders and it seen to be quite rebellious. ^-^ Looks fine except that for a stat of 9 the mod is -1. You always round down :3 -0.5 rounded down.
And Attack Ranged is -1, so is Fortitude, Reflex and Will Saves.
Damage is 1-6 + str mod but that is 0 anyway so yeah ^-^
As for skills well you get no skills as an academy student, but as you go through the academy you will train in some of those skills and will gain points in them, they're just there so that they are in order :3 But in the meanwhile you could add your stat mod (that affects the skill) to them. Like your Balance (add dex mod) would be -1 for example.

surprised Oh and Cp is 2 because your chk mod is -1 >.<
Apart from that it's OK and approved, you can post it in the shinobi scroll :3 Academy restarts tomorrow, in the meantime you can claim a home in the apartments or whatever or create a family mansion if you want, but yeah.

Hey There^^ I am requesting to join Sunagakure no sato! I have completed the roleplaying academy, and passed, yay!! I'm still not really sure what D20 is, but I have read the game system stuff. I must say, I am confused, but I'll learn. I will be roleplaying as an academy student named Shigure, Aiyoku (it is last name first, right?) So, here's some stuff about me..(Im going by the Applying do's and dont's so heres the first half of my profile.) User-name: ~Aki.Black.Heart~ Posting: Maybe from 1 to 10 times a day. Time zone: Pacific (us) ~Character Data~ Name: Shigure, Aiyoku Village: Sunagakure no sato Clan/Bloodline: No Element Affinity: Fire, Wind Age: 11 Gender: Female Rank: Academy Student ~Appearance~ Headband: Green, around waist Height: 4ft 10in Weight: 85 lbs Hair: Fiery orange, bangs slanting across the forehead in a jagged, wind blown looking, diagonal line. The rest of her hair is just as wind blown and wild. One side is longer than the other. It’s short in the back, coming down gradually into shoulder length, messy, thin, locks at the front. Eyes:Bright green, full of passion and emotion. Often expressing her bad temper. Physical Description: Some what tall, for a girl, I suppose. Long limped, short torsoed in comparison to the length of her legs. Some what tan skin, but still pretty much on the pail side. Clothing: A belly shirt, the part across her chest is solid black, while from there up, coming into a turtle neck, is fishnet. She wears a tan half-waist(right at the middle of her torso, I guess) Jacket, with sleeves that stop just above the elbow. Her left arm has a green, uh, thingy,(those things that Ino and Sasuke wear on their arms?) that comes down to about her knuckles, fitting very loosely until there. On the other hand, she wears a green glove with a metal sand village plate on it(like kakashi! Yay!). Her right arm, waist(from the shirt down), and left thigh, are all wrapped in white bandage looking cloth. She wears a leather belt , wear she carries all her weapons, low on her waist, just below her headband. She wears a long orange skirt, with split sides, (like sakura’s, except the split is at a bigger angle and the fabric comes down in more of a triangle. Last but not least, she wears green thigh high stockings and black ninja sandals(like gaara’s). Sorry for the uber long description. Here’s a pic that it was based off, with only a couple changes made.  Except, uh, younger. Like shrink her down to 11 year old size…sorry… Background: Not much is known about Aiyoku. She lives with her mother and younger brother in a simple apartment sized home. Her father was killed in battle right before she was born. She has a troubled and confused mind, her mother barely paying the bills. Aiyoku often does little chores for the neighbors when she can to help earn a little money. She has a horrible temper, and yet is very sensitive, caring, protective, and loving. She is not a person to keep her emotions inside. She is passionate about anything and everything she believes in.

Headband: long black cloth on his forehead with the plate in the front, the headband cloth is a bit longer than Shippuden Naruto's, reaching his shoulders. (upon graduation)
Story:
Hikaru was born into a strong ninja clan called the Monterio, which is known for their puppetry jutsu. he was always the runt of the clan trying to follow in his cousin Jayden's footsteps. one day when Jayden moved into his own apartment young Hikaru realized that he should start training on his own too. so one day Hikaru packed up his gear and told his parents that he was going to go and train on his own for a bit until he was ready to enter the ninja academy. one night when he was training a mysterious man approached him, without warning the masked man pulled out a kunai and charged twords him.
Hikaru knew it was do or die so he instinctively grabbed his kunai and blocked the attack. laughing in satisfaction the masked man left Hikaru to his training and said only this you will make a great ninja one day . upon hearing this Hikaru went back to his training with one goal, to become the greatest ninja that his village and clan have ever seen before.
other: his uncle is co-owner of the Suna puppet shop, of this he is very proud of.

Hikaru is a strong minded youth that will chase his goals whole heartedly. he is always fighting to be the best and he gives all of his Senseis full respect.

He has a deep tan from the scorching sands and blistering sun. His ears and nose are slightly out of proportion to his face, but will hopefully grow into it. Bouten his large calf muscles, and large triceps for his body. He has a birthmark on the back of his left calf muscle, which is shaped like a rabbit if you stare at it for some period of time. Clothing: He wears a baggy black shirt, with a picture of blue strings on it. He wears large a hakama, and sports cloths on his wrists. Hair: Really long, blackish red hair. It's all long, about to the thighs. When light reflects off it, it glows deep red.
Eyes: Maroon, devious eyes.
Physical Description: A defined piece of meat, Kamikaze is much stronger than anyone would think (and he looks like a brute). Oddly, he has a very soft, feminine-ish face, and very mischievous eyes. He has many scars on his body, some superficial, some to the bone, and some... fresh.
Clothing: He wears black and red Hakama pants, and has bandages covering his forearms. He wears (Naruto-style) boots.
Background: Kamikaze is pure blood Tekkenseisai warrior, and was trained at home by his mother and father. His legacy is to continue the purest of the Tekkenseisai bloodline, with honour, dignity, respect, and bravery. He has recently been enrolled in the Academy, and is to start training as soon as possible.

He refuses to wear shoes of any sort, and simply wears bandages around his feet, only to make him feel more mobile. He found that he was naturally fast at the age of 5, and also found that he could heft a heavy weight upon his shoulders easily.
