Welcome to Beyond the Gate.
This guild is for Gaians who play EVE Online -- to fraternize, to learn new things, etc.
As with any guild there has to be a few rules to maintain order and civility among the members so here goes.
Rules
1) As with everywhere else on Gaia, the Gaia ToS should be followed.
2) Debates are welcome, but flaming (making personal attacks) is not. Please take it to personal messages, or go fight it out in 0.0 space.
3) Questions are welcome. If you see a question asked for the eleventy-billionth time, please either answer it, provide a link to the answer, or don't post. The search system is so awful, it's hard to find the answers you need, and anyway, why is it so bad to answer a question again?
4) Non-EVE-related topics should go into the Pilot's Break Room (which is the Chatterbox).
5) No begging members in the guild, for Gaia or EVE stuff.
6) No donations to the guild, please. At this point, the gold can't be used for anything except subforums, and those are cheap.
7) All EVE-related topics should be posted in the main forum.
cool Recruitment: Recruitment for your corporation is welcome here and should be kept to the main forum. If you create a recruitment post for your corp, please include "[Recruitment]" or "[Recruiting]" in the title, and please do not bump the post unless it is not on the first page. A separate recruitment sub-forum may be added later.
The crew welcomes suggestions on how to improve the guild. We also encourage the organization of events, both on Gaia and in EVE.
Thank you, and welcome!

Please introduce yourselves in this thread.
I'm Strya on Gaia, but in EVE, I'm a Caldari named Killiakti. I'm still on my free trial as of now, but will be subscribed in a few days. I'm currently affiliated with my training corporation, but that will change soon, I hope. Mostly, I want to get into industrial production, and otherwise, I'm either mining or ratting with my RL husband.

Hihi~!!
I'm Mishalla Senatori in EVE. I've been playing since the end of the beta off and on (umm.... 4 years now??) whee Anyways, my char is primarily a miner/hauler with nearly all those skills maxed out, but too poor to buy a freighter sweatdrop
My roomie is Kain Aegis from Sinister Corp. (m0o's sister corp) and has been playing a bit longer than I have.

Hello all.
My Character in EVE is Ilkael, and I'm a Caldari who's currently in a Blackbird Cruiser, but also has a Destroyer used for small amounts of mining. I've also got a Merlin in some station somewhere, but I can't be bothered to go get it. =D
No real idea what I'm aiming for career-wise, but I've got quite a few decent gunnery and missile skills, and I'm currently on getting my Electronic Warfare skils up, for jamming and such.
I mostly do missions at the moment, and I work around the Sankassen system in The Citadel. I've only had a month of paid subscription, but I'll be reactivating my account in the next few days now my exams are finished and I have loads of time to kill.
So yeah, hello.

Hey everyone!
Nice to see some Eve players on here.
In the Eve universe I am Oniko Sengir of the Coreli Corporation. We're based out of Fountain. My favorite ship I would have to say is the Pilgrim.... let's see what else? Ummm.... I've been playing for about a year and a half... I started out in an empire corporation based in Amarr space called EM Pack, then I moved to the Great Wildlands and joined the Veritas Immortalis alliance, who were annihilated while I was on a break from Eve razz so when I came back I joined up with Coreli Corporation, which is kind of a "pirate" corp, but mainly we're focused on combat booster production, and just do whatever it takes to make sure that runs smoothly.
I've been playing a while, so hopefully I can be of help in this guild with answering the newer players questions or tips with fittings or whatever.

That region is amazing for trading, I made quite a lot of money there, though it was quite mindnumbing. And carriers! YES! I'm still a month or two out from being able to fly one, but that's my goal right now too. Kinda having some trouble with making the money, but I'm hoping I'll have enough to purchase one soon after I'm done training. I decided on the Thanatos because of the drone damage bonus, but it was a close call between that and the Archon. smile I can't wait!

Zentju Solo LoneWulf full attacker and heavy damager.(and bountyhunter) thats all Zentju out Well first off, Eve online is VERY different from SpaceCowboy. The only similarity is that you're a pilot and that you fly through gates to get to other areas. Eve online is a much larger, much slower, and potentially a much more devistating game, as you lose your ship if you are killed. Also there are no preset "teams" in Eve. And the character skill system is completely different as well. In Eve you can choose to fly any ship on any character, as long as you're willing to devote the time to training the skills for it. There are no levels in Eve, and you don't gain experience from killing things. Instead, you skills progress over time as you choose. Even when you're not playing. For a solo player, you can still do decently well in Eve online, though I would say the game is most efficeintly played with a group or at least a partner. It makes things leaps and bounds easier, safer, and generally more fun. Though you can still be very successful solo if you are interested in questing, or "mission running." Those are generally designed for the solo player.
