Slow mournful doom with a great emphasis on the majestic keyboard sound. Slightly trance-like music which reminds of the epic orchestration of Shape of Despair and Morgion. The soft whispered grunts complete the musical picture perfectly. Transcendual Funeral Doom and highly recommended!

Monolithe are the first Funeral Doom band that I listened to. Personally I like Monolithe II the best. If you have not heard them you can download their Interlude Premier EP from their Official Site

That sounds like a good idea actually. I think the only time that I've listened to funeral doom during the day was on a rainy day, otherwise I usually listen to it at night.

I wasn't quite used to waking up so early and driving at that time, so i couldn't handle something paced paced. Monolithe seemed like a good awakener. And, it was.

Monolithe I is so great. I listened to all 50+ minutes of it without getting bored. That says something.
