It had been a while since shadow had returned from his trip. Empoko was dreading that return; her stomach was fat with life. She did not know how he would react to kids, it didn't matter. She was more or less a play thing to him and she had accepted that role long ago... and who knew, maybe a successor would be in this litter.
She sighed and moved through the forest with less attention for the trees and the spirits she believed in so strongly.
........Some time in the future!
Empoko hadn't talked to Shadow's father much or any of the other members. Mostly she retreated into her den for comfort and solitude. She couldn't let anyone know until Shadow knew... could she? Her ears flattened and she panted hard.
It was time...
........Some time in the future!
Empoko lay asleep with six big wolf pups. Five beautiful girls and one amazing little boy, all of them hers! The puppies were stirring though... Azinus yawned and moved away from the pile of warmth, shaking off his fur and slipping out of the den. He stretched himself and smirked, glancing over his shoulder at his home. Sleepy-heads.
He looked around slowly and sighed in slight dismay. Again no signs of his father... he was growing bitter with his mother because of all of the stories of his father but yet... there was still no proof!

Giggleing Orna pounced and landed with a thump on her brother shockingly she reseved no shocked cry, "dreaming again are we." she asked through her fit of laughter on his back. "You just cant be happy now can you." she signed "You wait for father like hes the hero to wait for here." with that she leaped or as much as it was a leep off his back and landed on the ground turning to face him.

A small bundle of white fur lay nestled against her mother's warm side, the pup curled up contently as she snoozed. It was soothing sleeping there to her, listening to her mother's heart-beat like a comforting metronome. But as giggles and voices were heard outside the den, an ivory ear perked, the femme awaking. With a sleepy mumble Anita stirred, carefully making her way around the rest of her siblings and moving out of the dark den and into the morning light that trickled through the trees.
She smiled as Orna tackled her brother, her grey tipped tail wagging softly. "You guys are up early.." she said with a smile, yawning a bit.

The only male of the litter had a nasty little temper and as he felt one of his sisters land on his back he let out a vicious little snarl. At least, as vicious as a pup could make a snarl. "Are ya crazy Orna?" He snapped, eyes narrowing as he turned and pouted, looking at his sister. " 'ow many times do I have to tell you not to do that?" He would call her a few choice words but he didn't really want his sisters knowing that he knew bad words.
"You don't know anything about it anyways... I don't think dads a hero, I just don't believe mom." It was actually pretty good logic. It was true he waited every day to see his father, but that was because he did not think he was the alpha of this pack. It was because he did not think his father was anything special, like their mother claimed. He thought his father was an abandoning old bum. Probably dead, too. He realized quickly how much his mother liked telling stories...
His temper cooled as he took a deep breath and calmed as Anita showed. He watched the two girls silently and shook his head slightly. Girls were so annoying... why couldn't he have brothers?

Orna giggled again looking as Anita came from the den still blinking sleepy outta her eyes. "hello Anita." she smiled pawing at a patch of grass that laid between her feet. She thought of where her dad was thinkin maybe her brother was just a bit right with his way of thinkin. "yea well if he comes back and finds you doubting him it will be trouble to pay." Orna finally added as she stood up and yawned streaching her front legs out butt raiseing to that air.

Ophelia lazily opened one green eye, to survey the general disarray of her siblings. The sharp words of her brother had woken her from slihgtly more peacful dreams. She kept quiet, watching her siblings carefully. They seemed to be talking about their parents, which was alwys an interesting topic.
She felt close to her mother, but knew that to make her place in the pack she needed to befriend her father, and ignore the voices from the trees.

He snorted and shook his head slightly, not really responding. His father would not see his doubt, he would just see a faithful pup waiting for him. He rolled his eyes, sickened by the mere thought of how easily adults could be tricked. At least, that was the case with his mother so he believed it to be true with all adults. Oh how soon he would find out different.
"Anyways all of you sleep too long! Sleep like that and no man will ever want you!" He teased his sisters and then stuck out his tongue with a chuckle. "Wanna play tag?" He asked suddenly, his anger fully gone now.

Ophelia snorted, defiantly at her brother's comment, and rolled onto her back. " That's what you think. And we all know how often you're right. "
She then rolled back onto her front and propped herself up inot a sitting position. " I'll play as long as I'm not it. " She hated being the first one to have to chase, it always felt like it went on for far too long. She was much better at avoiding then catching.

Anita giggled happily at her siblings, standing up and stepping forwards. "Since you guys are such chickens, I'll be it I guess." she said, a smile of her face. She wanted to play, and it was better to be it and get somebody than to stand around and argue about who should be it.
She went down into a play-bow, her tail waving in the air. "You better run, or I'll get you even quicker!" the young femme laughed with a yip, yellow and blue eyes looking from brother to her sisters.

"hehe" with a giggle Orna raced as far as the clearing would allowe her from her sister looking at the group of the others sitting still in the middle. "i dont wanna get caught." she yelled bounceing up and down glaceing at Anita then back to the ones in the middle.

Taking off at her best impression of a run, Ophelia fled in the opposite direction as Orna, to end herself on the other side of the clearing, watching the other puppies closely.
Admittedly, she wasn't the fastest moving of the lot, but she was good at evasion. She watched Anita carefully, ready to dash away from ehr should she come her way.

The pup squeezed her bright eyes closed, placing her paws over top of them as she began to count. "Onne.....Twwwwooo....Threeeee...-" And it went on and on as Alice counted, white tail flicking back and forth eagerly.

Orna didnt have a clue where it was she was going but weaved her way in between the close nit trees looking for a random hiding place. She watched Ophelia take off the other way and the slow yet steady counting of the happy and eager Alice counted.
Finding a small hold in the side of a tree she wiggled her butt into it and smiled after she fully fit her self in it the only part seeable was her bright eyes.
