Does anybody have any ideas for one? I want to get a couple going... including a posting contest... to try and prompt guild activity...

Hmmm, I dunno. Ok, lessee...
A bumping contest
A post count contest (like, if it's for the guild, see what each participant is at in the beginning, and then when the contest is over, see who had the most total posts)
An avatar contest, with encouraged chatting/commentary
A coloring contest (find a picture to be colored, maybe a llama to be colored kaliedoscopic, and judge who is best... or I'm sure someone in the guild could even draw a really cool pic)
And that's all the ideas I have for now... maybe more later. 3nodding

biggrin i want to do a contest where people can win a free 10k or more make over, and it's on me ofcourse! wink Because i have like, monies and dont know how to spend it!

Posting contests are hard because the only people who post are already mods and mods usually are disqualified.

Also if any guild cocaptain or mod needs funds I will give you the pass to the mule. If you don't then cool. ^_^

Okay... well I opened and stickied a dice contest I wasn't totally sure how they worked so I just kinda guessed... oh well... I'm putting up the prize money myself, just in case it turns out to be a bad idea, the guild doesn't take a hit.
I really really really want to do a posting contest, but i'm not really sure how it'd work. Can someone suggest an easy kind of format?

Well, there was this one thread "Post 100 times, get free items" Maybe something like that would work pretty good?? Like, first to 200 gets this prize, runner-up (with 100-150) gets another prize, 2nd runner-up 50-100 posts gets another prize.

That is a good idea actually. It could be post a hundred times then roll a die to see what item you get. ^_^
