dosulover i highly doubt your gonna get into the seal,1000 try and only 20 or less makes it Hey now, the kid might become one...it just won't be easy. I find though, it's very sad to not at least try at your goals and dreams...just because it's highly unlikely. Someone does make it, and who knows...it could be you. With that said, I would probably start working out devotedly now and prepare now. I don't quite know the system very well on how to become a SEAL and the requirements, so I can't really offer any more advice.

As long as you have the attitude and you have an athletic body. You could have the chance to way day pin on that nice SEAl device on your uniform.
but have a back up plan. I'm pretty sure they train you to become a SEAL as well as your primary rate. (I.E.: MA, HM, MM, etc) Be prepared to learn Arabic, Korean, or what ever other countries language the US is planning to blow up soon. (Note to self: Get a psy-check done soon. I think I have lost my mind.)
One more thing about the language part. You have to past some kind of test before you join at MEPS. I forgot what it is called though. It's basically trying to figure out if you are capable of learning another language.

Hey man if you really want info about going into the Seals (which is one of the hardest boot champs, BUT YOU CAN STILL MAKE IT!) go to military.com and than click the join the military tab, than click the Navy tab (on the left side) than fill out the request information form......what happens than is they send you information and recurters (nearest to u) get ur info to call u and answer ur questions. THERE IS NO OBLIGATION WHEN YOU SIGN UP.

it'll be tough, but i guess im just gonna have to wait about 5 years. the good thing is you get to eat a lot. kind of like that Russian weight loss thing. eat all you want and still lose weight. lol. if you can lift 150 pound logs with a team, row a boat in waves, run a lot, swim a lot, do a lot of push ups, keep your bed clean, keep your uniform clean, and do obstacle courses, it'll be kinda easier, but not easy. never easy.

I will tell you the same thing that my brother told me. "There is nothing that you can possibly do to prepare for SEALs." My brother made it through BUD/S training on his first shot at the age of 23. Yes, the age requirement is 28 and yes, you can directly enlist in the US Navy for the purpose of SEALs training. But there is a catch, if you enlist for the SEAL program and fail, which you most likely will (I'll expain why later), the Navy reserves the right to reassign you in whatever field that they require your services. Leaving you no chance to retreat from your enlistment time.
(Now to explain) 60% of Naval personnel that enter the SEAL CRT training program will NOT make it through, this is a historical fact. Recently once the Navy gave the option for direct enlistment into the SEAL training program that 60% is 95% of those who went in directly for SEAL training. These are facts that can be found on almost any military website that holds factual information about the statistics on military careers and field choices.
I dream to become a SEAL. I have done so for many years (I am 18 now). I entered the Navy as an SNET (Submarier Nuclear Electronic Technician) for a full enlistment of 6 years. At the conclusion of my 5th year in the Navy I will have training for 5 years to prepare for the SEAL CRT program. I WILL NOT fail.
My brother also told me one other thing about the SEAL program.
"THE ONLY THING OR PERSON THAT CAN STOP YOU FROM GETTING THROUGH IS YOURSELF.
If you would like more of the things that my brother told me, then you may private message me or leave a comment on page if you would like.
