It was a bright morning, and Gloha had actually ventured into a real town to do some shopping. After all, the little one near her house didn't have everything she needed. She had the little bundle that she'd named Megan in one of her arms, and the other was being clung to by a little girl. It really was hard to go shopping with two children. Not that they were a problem. Both seemed rather calm actually, but still, it was a hassle to have to bring them along. She glanced down at the list that she held next to Megan's brightly colored head. Ok... All she needed now was powdered milk, baby food, eggs, and carrots. Then, she'd be done for the day, and could finally go back home.

Natalia didn't like babies. This was just a fact of life. So the fact that she was currently kowtowing to the flower-headed infant in her charge and going out to buy preprocessed baby food - something the chef in her was currently screaming bloody murder about - was rather curious.
"You're a monster," she notified Fiore flatly.
Fiore, sucking on the button nose of his stuffed seal, burbled innocently.
"Hmf," Nati said in reply, frowning as she pushed rudely past a woman laden with two children.

Gloha stumbled slightly as a women pushed past her. Megan let out a little cry, and then was silent after a second. She glared after the person, and was going to let it go, but of course, Terry just wouldn't. She usually was pretty shy, but when it came to these sorts of things, well, she could be pretty mean. "Hey!" the small child called after her, "Watch where you're going!" Immediately, she hid behind Gloha's back, willing to yell at someone, but scared of the consequences. Sometimes, Gloha just wished that she'd be quiet.

Natalia's ears set against her head and her lips curled over serrated teeth as she turned on her heel.
"Why don't you watch your mouth before I punt you into traffic, you little toad," she snapped.
Fiore, ever peaceful, merely gave a delighted giggle at the sight of new people. He waved his stuffed seal around, trying to get their attention.
"Huhyooo," he called, smiling.

"Hey! Don't talk to her like that!" Gloha said, her face turning a slight shade of pink. It wasn't like her to speak out, so this was pretty hard for her. "She's just a kid, doesn't know any better," she said. Terry shook her head violently. "I knew perfectly well what I was doing Gloha," she whispered, tugging at Gloha's sleeve. Gloha sighed and looked wearily at Terry's face. For such a small child, she really did have a big mouth.
Megan looked with wide eyes at the baby that the loud woman was holding. She gave a small grin back, and waved her own hand around a little, giggling. "Hiha!" she called back.

"Bull," Nati said flatly. "When they know how to talk, they know how to piss people off. I'd invest in a muzzle."
"Rannboh," Fiore said, pointing to the new girl's color-spotted head. Rainbow girl! "Fo-ray," he added, pointing to himself. The smell of lavender hung in the air pleasantly, adding to his pleasure.

Gloha would have crossed her arms if it hadn't been for the children in them. So, she had to make do with glaring. "A muzzle?" she said with disgust, "Is that what you do to yours?" She nodded to Fiore, who seemed to be infinitely happy, despite the person who carried her. "I'm surprised you haven't killed that one yet," she said.
Megan put her arms over her head and looked curiously at the boy. He smelled nice, and Megan was happy to have met this strange new person. He was purple too, one of Megan's favorite colors. She giggled and stretched her arms out towards his hair. But she wasn't close enough to touch the pretty stuff.

"I don't need a muzzle for my creature, he knows well enough not to annoy the living Christ out of me!" Natalia spat.
Fiore reached out as well, fingers grasping at the air. He sighed. Hmm...oh! Inspiration had struck. He offered his stuffed seal with a beaming smile.
"Fuff," he said, a world of pride in the odd name.

Gloha raised an eyebrow. "He doesn't seem all that terrible to me," she said watching as he offered his little stuffed seal to a smiling Megan. "In fact, he seems pretty darn cute," she said with a small grin.
Megan gently took the odd creature and clasped it to her small chest for a second, before offering it back. She wasn't sure whether or not he had meant for her to keep it, but didn't want to risk making him mad at her. She didn't want him to get mad.

In an instant, the fight seemed to drain out of Natalia. Her ears drooped a bit and her tail curled as she looked away grudgingly.
"Yeah," she said, sounding defeated. "He is kinda cute."
Pleased Rainbow-girl had liked his Fuff, Fiore set to chewing on the button nose again.
"Muh," he said with his mouth full, pointing up to his 'mother'.
Natalia growled a bit at being addressed so.
"Nati," she said, indicating that was the only introduction she was going to offer.

Gloha nodded. "And I'm Gloha," she said, rather grateful to the baby. He had just saved her neck. "I'm Terry!" Terry said boldly, interupting her thoughts. It was odd for her to be so outgoing, but not completely unusual. "And this is Megan," Gloha said, glancing down at the giggling baby. She hadn't laughed like this before, but Gloha had only just found her, so maybe it was normal for her.
Megan giggled at the strange boy, and looked with big eyes at the person he claimed to be his mother. They were nothing alike, but then, that didn't bother her. She smiled, and held out her hand towards the woman.

"Ehn. Nice to...y'know. Yeah," Nati said. glancing at Gloha and down to Terry. "You're not a toad. Sorry."
Skirting civility and rather alarmed about it, she glanced at Megan and cringed inwardly. More babies. Great.
"Uh...hi."
Gnawing on Fuff's nose as though determined to tear it off, Fiore burbled and scratched clumsily at his head, disloding a few dried old lavender buds. The flower buds fluttered to the ground, while on his head the new growth was already visible.

That poor, poor man. He was slumped forward, shuffling his feet down the sidewalk. He looked to be in good shape, story body, wearing jus a light shirt and jeans. But his burden was one of patience and spirit, rather than physical.
With him came the full menagerie. A few locks of purple hair, matching the man, appeared over his shoulders, just barely peeking out. He had straps around his shoulders, quite recognizable as one of those backpack baby cage carriers. Indeed if you got a good look behind him, there was a kid, swaying with his steps, asleep on his back, all nice and snug.
About 4 yards in front of him was the bulk. Very odd crew, one being a silver haired kid, probably about 4 from the size. He was actually riding on a large, fluffy brown bear. Occasionally he'd smack the bear on the backside, letting out a fair immitation of a cowboy movie's "Yip kai yai yay!", trying to pull at the bear. For whatever reason, the bear complied about half the time, running ahead quickly before deciding to come back towards the man and resume its place.
And besides the bear, a strange anthro-bunny person. She was holding her hands close to her chest, moving very slowly, shoulders hunched, eyes always moving. Every little sound she jumped at.
Including the conversation down the street between mothers and children. She seemed to about jump out of her skin.
The silver haired kid tried to 'put in the spurs', waving his right hand around his head in the air, calling out "CHARGE!" The bear was less than compliant at that one though, just moving at his normal pace.
And the adult? He just groaned and called out, "Don't get in trouble."

Megan took no notice of what the woman said. Her attention had just been captured by something far better. There was a little group of people walking past them, and Megan stared openly. She'd never seen anything weirder or more interesting. Giggling loudly, she reached out in their direction. She was especially intrigued by the little boy who was riding the bear.
Gloha nodded, but she too was a little distracted by the gang of people that was passing by them. They were an odd bunch. Terry too, was staring, not even trying to hide it. This time though, she was speechless.

Natalia's lip curled in disgust at more company, and she turned a cold shoulder to them.
Fiore, on the other hand, was enthralled.
"BZAAAAH!"
