Roleplay Guidelines & Information
Corrupted Kyn, due to their unique storyline, specific location, and specialized history and behavior, have strict and very different rules for roleplay. Corrupted Kyn differ in many ways from shop-sold Kyn, which is why they will never be sold through the shop. Please be sure to read through and understand all the announcement and sticky posts in the Corrupted Subforum before deciding to roleplay your Corrupted. We would love the activity, but we require your cooperation to make it all work together.
Roleplay Background Rules
1. Corrupt do not have riders or bonded of any description. There are no two-leggers on their island besides themselves.
2. Corrupt are the only sentient beings on their island. Plotline specific NPCs and player characters may alter this rule at times, but you, as a player, cannot bring someone to the island that isn't already there.
3. NPC characters are just that: non-playable characters. Only Ganon Firenight and the Kyn_Caretaker mule have access to these characters. Rikkashan and Tigris may only be played by their specific mules and only by those who have access to them. This does not mean that you can't interact with them - we would love for you to if the opportunity presents itself.
4. Corrupt cannot leave their island unless there are specific plot-related instances defined by the current plotline coming from either of the three mules or Ganon Firenight.
In Roleplay
1. Corrupted Kyn never refer to themselves as 'Corrupt', merely as being True Kyn.
2. Corrupt are opportunistic about their rank positions, but they do respect those of ranks above them. The only exception to this is with halfbreeds, who may at times be considered 'different' by certain Corrupt.
3. The general rule is that females are physically stronger than males, though males typically have more honed voices and a higher level of intelligence. The exception to this is the Temple Guard class of females, who are quite literally the best of the best.
4. Corrupt usually feel a mixture of contempt and sour pity for bonded Kyn. At the same time, they understand very well that Otherkin are their chance for reaching the mainland. Most Corrupted's ultimate dream is to return to the mainland.
5. All Corrupt, with the exception of halfbreeds, hate water. They cannot swim, and it is what separates them from the mainland.
6. In general, Corrupt will consider Rikkashan their father. Second generation Corrupt, while being born on the island, are treated as if they swam from the Meadow of Life and are raised by everyone. Hence their view their single Father as being the father of all Corrupt.
