(Concept: Like Xander was split into two different personalities in the episode, "The Replacement", and inspired by the existence of two Spikes in Buffy's Room, the following is what would happen if the souled Spike of season 7 was split from the Big Bad of season 2. This will be set in season 2, and I need to sort out with Bloody Caesar who will be which.
Characters needed: the Scoobies, circa Season 2. Since this doesn't have to be canon, some flexibility is fine, if you really want to play someone.)

(I have to admit, totally out of character, that bluddy_caesar is better at being the original Big Bad. I like being snarky-comment Chipped Spike, or sometimes almost-as-batty-as-Drusilla Souled Spike. However, I'd like to point out that the split is between these facets of Spike, not his good and bad qualities (since there aren't enough good qualities! xp ) Give me a few to post a starting point. UPDATE: too tired tonight, will do it tomorrow.)

(Okay, let's get this thing started! I'll double as Buffy until someone claims the role. I'll also play the splitting demon thing. Bluddy, as Spike 1, would you be the only Spike until the Doublemint Spike thing happens?)
Buffy was admiring an ad for a well-known brand of mint gum. "Where do they find such an attractive pair of twins?" she asked, sitting at the library's large table. "Maybe from some other dimension or something." Flipping away from the sets of six-packs, she began reading an article about hair care.
School had just ended, and cheerful early-afternoon sun streamed through the high windows, and the voices outside and the revving of school bus engines blended into a muted noise.

Xander walked in, putting his backpack on the table she was sitting at. Taking a seat across from her he smiled. " Hey Buffs. What's going on?" he asked, leaning forward a little.
He'd been looking for Willow and Buffy, but one was good enough.

(Oh, you poor thing. I was letting you be Giles, and now... blaugh Well, you're stuck with it.)
"Oh, nothing big and icky as of yet. Well, except for Ms. Theron's hair." she held up a page with a famous star's hair disaster prominently pictured. "Oh, right, not one of the girls. Sorry." she retreated quickly. "Any sign of Giles?"

" Nope. Haven't seen G-Man all day," he said with a shrug. He grabbed his bag and searched through it until he found a banana. Eating it, he leaned bach in his chair. " I was looking for will, but no sign of her either."

"Right here." called out Giles. "Sorry, didn't hear you come in." he said, coming out of his office, nose almost buried in a large tome, which he read as he walked. "There were a couple of strange occurrences on the way here this morning, and I wanted to know if there was any demonic activity behind it."

Buffy scoffed at the idea, and Giles said, "Unlikely. I was getting out of my car, and a black cat ran by..."
"So?" Buffy asked.
"So, another one, just like it, ran by directly afterwards."

"Or a glitch in the Matrix." piped up Buffy, still reading her magazine.
Getting up and putting down the magazine, she walked over and put a hand on her Watcher's shoulder. "Don't worry, Giles. If the worst this demon can do is doubling Sunnydale's kitten population, I don't think apocalypse is exactly on hand. I'll go on patrol tonight, and... if I start seeing double, then..." she made a chopping motion with the side of her hand.

Having finished her inescapable homework and unwanted training session, Buffy set out on patrol just as evening fell. Giles' words were long forgotten, in favor of the lives of the celebrities she had been reading about. A few piles of dust later, Sunnydale was a little safer for the humans in it. Idly, she wondered if Spike was still away, or if he was back and wreaking vengeance.
