The summer was making everything all full of wonders as a tiny little foal colored in a soft white flitted her large emerald glistening wings playfully. She tossed her head taking a couple of steps in a dance only she would know giggling with each motion.

So many things were everywhere that her eyes beamed quite curiously. anything that glinted was an attention getter, or things that were strange and different helped with that too. She simply was enjoying herself, out in the fresh new world she was learning about.

Bella adored this new world she lived in. Cream and white streaked through the grasses of the field, galloping as fast as her feet would carry her. The little one absolutely adored to run! Given. . . she really wasn't all that fast, but her stamina more than made up for it. She could run for hours without fail, and absolutely adored the sensation of the wind in her face and hair.

The sunshine was beautiful, the bright flowers were beautiful, and the white and green thing in front of her was beautiful. Almost overlooking the winged Soquili before her, it took a moment for the girl to register that white and green winged soquili WEREN'T part of the scenery.

A double take, and suddenly Bella realized what she was looking at! A foal just like her! But there was something different about her. . . . Besides the bright accessories that donned her pale coat, or her dreadfully long green mane. . . there was. . there was . . . WINGS! Green wings that sprouted from her back.

Instantly curious and not at all afraid of talking to strangers, the pale girl veered in her direction. She turned and turned her gallop in to a lazy trot, circling the small one with a friendly air. "Hey! Where'd you get those?" She asked, jutting out her chin and gesturing to her wings. They were so very pretty . . . why didn't she have wings? D: "I've never seen a foal with wings before," she admitted, brown eyes dancing with good humor.

Finally circling close enough to the girl, she gave a gentle bow and soft whinny. "I'm Bella," came the coy greeting, "Who're you?"

With age and experience she'd come to realize that questioning another's differences was NOT necessarily the most polite way to approach a stranger. But Bella was young and very new to the world. She had yet to learn such things.

Feena paused her her speculations of the world to turn her attention to the small newcomer which was a tad bigger than she. A very pale cream with genuine brown eyes were what she had lied her eyes upon, but strangely she had no wings. Curious to the soquili of this land, most if not all she met carried no wings, nothing like her or Saissis upon their graceful backs.

She smiled tossing her head, letting the long green tresses fall over her shoulders, "I'm Feena and I'm an adventurer. She nodded with a big bow. Looking over the other she frowned, "Where are your wings?" she motioned to hers that flitted upon her back sending little showers of sparling light around them.

She smiled back at the other so fascinated this meeting was one of her own size. She wasn't a bug either. Ed was right, foals weren't bugs just because they were small.

"You know how neat it is to meet another foal? All I've seen are adults, and none of them except my mother have wings" she nodded with a positive chirp that came from her voice.

Finally someone to talk with and have fun outings, possibly even explore and find new things. The little flutter revered in happiness of the thousand thoughts that traveled throughout her ever changing mind. So many things to gaze upon and admire, the world seemed at that time an unimaginable place.

"Feena. . ." She repeated the name on her tongue, hoping to remember it. Out of all the soquili she knew (which really wasn't very many at all) Bella often found she had trouble remembering names. Thankfully, Feena was a pretty name and the first foal she'd had the opportunity to meet. It wouldn't be too hard to remember Feena as the green-winged-foal, not at all!

"An adventurer you say? Wow. How'd you become one of those?" Bella wanted to be an adventurer too - it sounded excited and fun and NOT boring. Of course, it seemed it might be a little dangerous, but as far as the girl was concerned dangers were few and far between.

She had yet to discover a world of danger within her world of beauty.

Trotting around the white and green foal, Bella half-reared back in surprise as the wings produced sparkling light. Woah~! Brown eyes danced in further fascination as a large grin spread over her features. "They're awfully beautiful they are," she complimented sweetly, a little giggle entering her voice. Tearing her eyes off the wings - she could admire them again later - Bella turned so she was nose to nose with Feena. "I've never had wings before, so I don't know where mine are. I didn't even know winged-soquili existed!"

But boy oh boy was she glad to have made such a wonderful discovery. Where did winged soquili come from and how did one become special enough to receive wings?

Part of the cream girl wished she was special enough to have wings. . . .
But. . . at least she was good enough to have met one with wings! From what Feena told her it was obvious that winged soquili were a rarity indeed!

"All I've met are adults too," she explained, pounding the ground with her front hoof. "Not only are you the first foal I've met, but you're the first one with wings! That makes you double special," she responded with a laugh, very pleased to have met such a fun foal.

Maybe this would mean they could be friends? And she was an adventurer too! Oooee! Maybe. . maybe she'd take her on a grand adventure and they could explore things together? If luck was with her . . .but. . . now. . . . how did one casually bring it up? Bella didn't want to force herself upon the new girl or impose.

Hmmmm.

Feena was intrigued still that Bella was her age and size. True they'd grow to adults someday, but Feena would always be the smaller of the two. But did it matter really who was larger than the other? Nope why should it because well everyone came in different shapes and sizes.

Some even had horns her mother said. Now there was something of an oddity. Better yet some had wings and horns. And there were demons and angels and water types and .. oh so many which was too much to count. Oh lets not forget the ones that look like "little ponies".

Her mind simply buzed with the soquili types that dominated and flourished in this endless land.

She looked directly into those chocolate eyes with her bold determined ones, "Hey would you be my first friend? Well foal size of course cause well there's Cosette and I think Ed, well I hope he's my friend" she nodded with a bright smile, "And you're even more special because you have no wings. So yey we're double double special then right?"

She was meeting some other soquili, but yey for another foal like herself.

"Say lets go exploring? Like shiny things cause there are alot all over the place." she beamed with a bright happy expression.

Her first outing with a friend, maybe her best friend who knows. But it was such a treat to know someone else was 'just like you' in that great big world.

((Ah! So sorry for the delay. D: I moved and then I lost the RP for a bit. . . fickle muse! *shakes fist* I'm usually not this bad at responding, promise. =_= ))

Today was the best day of her entire life! Given, Bella's life hadn't been very long, and there was a chance that even BETTER things than discovering winged soquili would chance upon the creamy foal but. . . up until this moment, this was by far the most spectacular.

She didn't know about the different species that were out and about. None had ever shown her, nor told her about the different species and types. To think that some lived in water or others were evil it just didn't cross her mind! Evil didn't exist in her mind, and though sometimes bad things happened, no one could EVER choose to be cruel. . . . . could they?

Not in the naive world of Bella.

And the thought of such things continued to stay far from mind as Feena actually asked her the NEXT most glorious thing in her life - a friend! Her very FIRST friend! Tail swishing behind her, the cream girl couldn't help but giggle and playfully rear up to her hind legs. "You first friend? Of course I will!" Her grin seemed to stretch a mile, her brown eyes sparkling with delight. "I don't have any friends, not even any big ones so you'll be my very first, faol sized or otherwise!"

She couldn't contain her excitement and glee. A friend. Maybe even a best friend someday? Friends with a beautiful winged soquili named Feena - how fantastic! Coming to a stop, a giggle on her lips, the girl was quite pleased at this turn of events. They'd be friends forever if Bella had her way.

If ever there could be the most special of friends, Bella was sure they were it.

"Exploring?" She repeated the word before laughing, glancing around them curiously as she tried to find a shiny. There were some things that shined more than others, like water, or the occasional trinket's that were worn by others. But Bella had never gone out and found shiny things by herself, much less with a dear friend!

It sounded . . . "That sounds fun! Almost like an adventure, searching for shiny and beautiful things! Ooooh! Where should we start, which way shall we go?" She'd let Feena start them out since it was the green foal's suggestion.

This afternoon was sure to turn out in to a great adventure!

((No worries... I've got an eternal foal to play with it seems sweatdrop Besides RL has me dragged down momentarily ))

Feena grinned swishing her tail likewise as Bella did. The thought of being with someone smaller as herself, able to take on the world in one fell swoop was just an unbelievable idea over all. She herself had heard of evil creatures and water related ones in her mother's tale, and that made it all the more exciting to maybe meet one someday.

She pictured it as her little mind soared of her adult form standing up to a Kalona like it was nothing. Puffing out her chest she closed her eyes, expelled a blue light like Ed had mentioned, and the creature ran from the very sight.

Yes. Life indeed was grand in the flutter's eyes as they twinkled with delight re-opening to look at her new friend.

"Where to go. Where to gooooo with my new friend" she chirped with a giggle. Wondering to herself what was over the next ridge or slope she pondered which way to go. "Hmm if you were a shiny which way would you be Bella? Shinies are tricky and they can be oh say right in front of you or over there" she pointed with her little hoof toward the next hill, "Oh lets try looking over there. Sound good?"

She dreamed of many things just then wondering, hoping for millions of shinies to come running out at her like wild animals. Each one a different color as it shimmered in the sunlight.

That was her goal she realized, to find a shiny unlike no other. And Bella would be there when they found it. Nothing could stop them for they were an unbeatable team, best friends even she hoped.

((*hugs* ;_; I'm sorry to hear life hasn't been the kindest to you. Hopefully it gets to treating you better soon! <3 ))

Rearing to her hind legs, the girl pranced happily around Feena as her new best friend picked a direction. "Shinies are very tricky," she agreed with a laugh, reaching over to nose her friends neck affectionately. "But ya know what? I bet if we're really quiet we can sneak up on them over yonder! They won't know what hit 'em, for sure!"

Given, Bella had no experience when it came to discovering shinies. Certainly anything that sparkled caught her eye but it usually was the common shinies - diamonds on the water during a sunny day, the stars at night, and the occasional firefly during a quiet evening. But when it came to discovering new shinies like, perhaps, the one around her friends neck. . . well . . .Bella really didn't know the first place to begin!

Thankfully Feena seemed to have a good inclination of how to start off this sure to be great adventure!

It was interesting to see a foal, so used to running and cantering, attempting to be as soft on her hooves as possible. Glancing over her shoulder, she suppressed a giggle as she lowered her head and stilled her swishing tail. "I wonder what we'll find?" She questioned, excited about what could be over the grassy hill.

No matter how elusive the shiney-things of the world could be, Bella wouldn't give up! Not until she and her new best-friend had made their discovery.

((I hate shift changes and hot working conditions stressed ))

Feena grinned and hunkered herself down with a nod, "Yeah they are mysterious and like to hide from the big grownups. Only us foals can find them since they are" she paused to creep along flicking her tail, "very shy. Yes shy".

To see the flutter foal creeping through the grass was simply amusing to no end. Carrying a glint in her eye she crept along, searching, waiting for the right opportunity to find a shining stone or Indian trinket one may have lost. To a child a grand adventure was pure fun as if on a safari or deep land excursion, and adult would simply prefer to stand and graze or look upwards to the cyan filled ocean filtered with clouds and swaying birds of many types.

It was no wonder why some foals decided to stay children all their lives, while others simply abandoned that childlike demeanor and became highly boring.

"Ohh" she exclaimed noting something shining in the grass not too far off, "We should stay really quiet so it doesn't run away".

Little did the flutter know that her little trinket she spotted was attached to a frog sitting in the grass.
