While all the FFs since VII seem to have had charming action fgures as merchandise, it seems that FFVI never had a similar opportunity. BUT, if the game HAD had action figures, would you have rather had the sculpted but not very posable figures that FFVIII had, for instance, or would you rather have had more toylike figures (Celes with Magitek armour with electronic light and sound! Mash with karate-chop action!)? Or would it have been something else?

While I really like the idea of Final Fantasy plushies, I have trouble picturing any of the FFVI characters being turned into plushies (except mog, but he basically is a plushie). The fact is, FFVI is a masterpiece of console RPGs. It is art, and I really can't imagine it being turned into action-figures, plushies or anything other than statuesque figures of beauty.
That said, FFVII is perfect for plushies, and VIII would make great lego, IX would make interesting action figures and bobble-heads all the way for X.

That said, FFVII is perfect for plushies, and VIII would make great lego, IX would make interesting action figures and bobble-heads all the way for X. FFVIII would make great lego (imagines li'l Lego Squall with a scar 'tween his two dot eyes, and also a big lego Ragnarok). Sweet.

I actually wouldn't mind bobble heads. They have large heads in the game, right? And there's a lot of Amano art of them with large heads. I guess it just fits to me. sweatdrop

I would have a hard time deciding if I wanted solid resin statues of the ff6 cast in the amano style. or if I would want little kubrik type/sized figures based off the sprites.
