That's actually kind of true. i like my car a lot, and i figured other people liked theirs, too. Who else drives? What do you drive? i drive a black 2003 Volkswagen Jetta. It's kind of a funny story how i got it. My parents bought it from this guy's parents. They'd given him the car before he went to college, but it was still their car. They'd also given him money for books. But he spent the money pimping out the car. Tinted the windows, put in a new sound system, fancy head and tail lights, spinny rims, etc. Well, when his mom found out, she was so mad at him she sold the car for half of what it was worth. i was pretty happy about the sound system, but i spent an entire afternoon getting the ridiculous spinny rims off. They look AWFUL on a Volkswagen. (i think they look pretty bad on anything else, too.) My friend named the car Reaper, both after the Blue Oyster Cult song (we listen to that a lot when she's in the car) and because of all the times i've almost accidentally killed her with it (She's a goth, and has this annoying tendency to wear all black at night.). Anybody else name their car?

I drive Oliver, my 1991 Dodge Dakota pickup truck! I love him to death! My Grandpa bought it for my dad at an estate sale. Then after many years, my dad gave him to me. He's a bit tempermental and I don't trust anyone else to drive him. I like to decorate him on holidays too! I have a special connection with my truck. There have been many times where he should have died on me, but he didn't. And alot of those times were when I was in a very bad part of town. I'M IN LOVE WITH MY TRUCK! blaugh

That's a funny story, Scary Moose, but man, I just can't understand how people can screw up their priorities that badly sometimes. xp I'm one of those guys who isn't all that interested in car stuff or decorating a cool vehicle or something like that, so I just can't see someone blowing all their cash on something so... vain. O___o" It's like a girl buying clothes or makeup instead of school books.
Anyway, umm... I drive a Ford Windstar. razz
... emo
Mainly, it comes from the fact that I have two brothers and two parents, which makes any normal sized car like our Taurus far too small (keep in mind, two GROWN brothers). We went out and got it, but what's kinda funny is that right after we got it, my eldest brother headed off to college, so we didn't need it anymore. razz Pretty much I've been forced into driving it because of the lack of other, smaller vehicles available.
I do NOT drive a minivan! It's a LOVE VAN! LOVE VAN!! scream

I drive illegally. >>; And for those that are worried, don't... I'm getting my permit sometime this month. --;
And I have a 1991 Ford Explorer. I love it to death... when my dad bought it in 2000, I layed claim to it. Everyone has always called it "Torey's Truck"....
But now we have to get rid of it. I think the For Sale sign is going up on it this week. It pisses me off, but it's no longer safe to drive it. There's something incredibly wrong with the brakes where if you push them down too hard, too fast, or too slow... the car itself will jack-knife. .-.;
I'm getting a jeep, though... I guess I can live without my precious truck. xd

I'm still just as manly as ever, I tells ya!
Yikes, that's scary about the jack-knifing thing, Torey. O___O And weird. I don't know squat about cars, but I really wonder what could cause something like that. Did you guys ever get it inspected to see what the problem was?
But cool, a jeep. Just don't crash or you'll end up on the road fifty feet ahead of the car. razz

Well, we know what's wrong with it. It'll cost about 2000 dollars to fix, though. And my parents aren't about to drop another two grand into my money guzzler. Seriously... since we've had it, it's had a new engine, three new transmisions, a new altinator, carborater, barrings, and a few other countless things.
I can understand why they won't drop anymore money into it. But it makes me sad, nonetheless.
... I don't plan on crashing. But wouldn't it be fun to fly through the air? Inpact would be the only horrible part.

arielphotort I wish people would hand my parents cars. surprised Trust me, a BMW, as luxurious as it sounds, is not easy to maintain XD The model my dad has seems to suck up a lot of gas (meaning I have to pay so much for gas and so often, as well).
Personally, I'd get something smaller, but enough to fit in shopping bags after pay day rofl

My uncle used to have a BMW. He bought it after his wife made him sell his motorcycle. She got it into her head that since he was going to be a father, he shouldn't have one. After sulking for a week, he went out and bought a big fancy car. Oddly, she didn't complain about that.

I drive a 1995 Chrysler Concorde. It's burgandy colored! It's my parents' car, but it's mine because I drive it everywhere and it usually serves as a second room for my hoards of s**t stuff. sweatdrop It has a dragon steering wheel cover (that's coming apart), and it has a jester smiley face antenna topper, which I totally didn't even think about Queen or Innuendo when I got it, but that's what it reminds me of now. I need to get some seat covers, because there's a rip in the side of the driver's seat interior.
I tell ya, that car has some power. Push the gas pedal and it just GOES.

My sister just got flames painted on her car by her boss. What do you all think? My boss, and former owner of the car absolutely hates it. xd
