((This is a Private RP between `raze and Myself. Please do not post unless asked. )) --------------------------------- She was huge. Now it wasn't just an exaggeration, she really was. Of course, Caelen had always told her constantly that she was still beautiful, but Azariel didn't exactly feel like it anymore. She grimaced as she walked to the small lake a moderate distance from her home. What she wanted was some time alone. ....Too bad it was all relative. She wasn't alone anymore. The children inside were an actual physical thing. They liked to move around too. She winced as one decided to kick her. Oh, they'd get a bit of a talking to when this was over. She sighed at herself, as if they'd understand not to kick their mother while they were inside. Glancing up and down the path, she wondered absently if she was close, and if there'd be time for a snack before Caelen decided she'd been away too long. Damned protective stallion.

Despite being an adult, everything came to Cosette like it was new. That was probably because she was recently introduced to these lands, or as someone once told her, "You were dropped on your ehad a couple of times as a foal." Her hoofs came down on the green grass in a light trot, sharp red eyes taking in the sights. She was much used to the snowed in meadows she lived in for the majority of her life (or so she remembered), but this was pretty cool.
Every step in life was an adventure, right?
She paused momentarily in her trot, her eyes falling on the lake. But those sharp optics of her fell on a mare that seemed a tad rotund. Okay, maybe this mare was the definition of rotund. Blinking hard, Cosette wodnered if the heat was getting to her.
She hadn't met a mare yet. She had so far only really met one stalllion and saw another by a tree. Cosete shook her head hard, realizing she had been staring.
Well, there was no harm in introducing herself, was there? There wasn't, at least that's how Cosette saw it. Besides, she really wanted a drink, and that mare was near the lake anyway...
She began to walk in the direction of the lake, slowing her jovial trot to something more appropriate. She craned her neck out, eyes interested.
"Hello~?" She called, appearing as friendly as she could. Though meeting someone new was always on the tp of her agenda, she also wanted to see if ehr eyes had played a trick on her...

Azariel turned her head, blowing a few wasps of long hair out of her eyes. The sounds she had heard had come from this other mare, much to her chagrin. She hadn't seen too many outside of her family since she'd grown larger and frankly hadn't wanted to. Confining herself to her home had meant no one would give her knowing looks and smirks behind her back.
With a soft sigh, as obviously this mare was coming toward her and not anyone else, she managed a faint smile, "Hello," She greeted, pausing in her steps to the lake-edge. It would be rude to ignore someone and go right ahead to drink from the lake as if the other person wasn't even there.
.......frankly, and no overt offense to the other mare, she'd rather just be alone. Again, relatively speaking.
She shifted slightly, adjusting her position to something that was more comfortable at the moment for her. Talking with others when she was too uncomfortable usually ended badly. Like that fight with Caelen last week.

Cosette smiled widely at the greeting, but stopped fully when she was able to see that well, her eyes hadn't been screwing around. The mare before her was rather round, especially in the belly area. The arctic mare, never have seen a pregnant Soquili before, could only assume that the round mare was just plainly fat.
But hey! Fully-figured was beautiful, right? Who needed those extra skinny Soquili anyway?
She had been gawking at the black and white painted mare, and she was quick to shake her head and offer an apologizing look. "Uh-Uh, I'm sorry! I didn't mea to stare..." She looked down nervously. The lst thing Cosette wanted to be was rude, but so many questions were filling up her mind! What did this mare eat? Was she on some special regime against anorexic mares and stallions? Did she just have big hip bones?
A genuine smile graced her face as her embarressed phase passed. She almost excitedly walked over to face the mare more close up. What came out of her mouth next though, was just a sign of how naive she was, "Wow! You're full-figured! I bet you get a lot of looks, right? Always good to have meat on your bones!" She said in a very cheery tone, her eyes reflecting how foal-like she was. Her tail whisked back and forth in child-like manner, hoping that this'd make up for her staring.

Eyebrows raised up and up at the other's words. Had this mare never seen another who was pregnant before? From the way she was acting, it was apparent she had not. Ah, the pros and cons to that realization.
"It's fine," She assured the other mare softly, shaking her head. She couldn't really get offended with someone who didn't even know what state she was in. She watched, warily, as the other mare closed the distance between them and continued to look at her as if she resembled some sort of novelty. That was getting her a bit on-edge.
She paused before she spoke and then sighed and shook her head, "I suppose you could say "full-figured"," She replied , shrugging, "But I'm not fat, if that's what you're thinking," She could swear that's what the other mare thought, "I'm...pregnant." She hated that word, so it was only natural that when spoken, she'd grimace.
At least another sharp kick from one of the children made a bit of an emphasis to her statement. If the other mare could even see it. "Don't get too close," She warned, resolved amusment in her voice, "They're rather active." Another sigh. Could they just be out already?

Pregnant? This mare is pregnant? Oh... A blank look sat on Cosette's face for a moment as looked at the dark mare's belly. So she had jus approached an expectant mother, someone who probably needed her space, someone with babies in her belly, like nothing. A hard pang of guilt hit the arctic-looking Soquili as she blinked, her eyes now shining with realization and apology. She backed up a bit, remembering something about giving expectant mother's their space and father's their time alone.
However, as she brought up "active", Cosette craned her neck forward and lowered her head, inspecting the rounded belly-area. "Wow..." She gasped, her mouth agape in wonder. Now, despite Cosette never seeing a pregnant mare before, she difinitely knew how the babies got there. Tilting her head, pulled back, and flashed a light smile. She didn't want to be too obnoxious now... But that ws quite hard for a mare who exclaimed nearly everything with laughter and giggles.
But her excitement was clearly showng on her white and blue face. "How long till their due? You excited? Got any names planned? Whose the-- Ah! Sorry. I don't mean to play twenty questions." She glanced away slowly, but then turned her attention bac to he older female.

A mental sigh at the other mare's reaction filtered through Azariel's mind. This one looked apologetic to her, as if she had suddenly realized their was something wrong with the expecting mare. Gah, Az didn't like those types at all. She hadn't asked for this, but it certainly wasn't something that demanded such a look.
"It's not like I'm some sick person," She commented, looking at the new mare with raised eyebrows, "There's no need to look pained or anything."
The abrupt shift from apology to excitement threw her a bit. Az managed a smile, wondering if this other mare knew how incredibly inquisitive and innocent she acted. "We think they'll be out in a couple more months--hopefully--I suppose you could say we're excited," A sigh, "I'm excited for them to be out, anyway; Names? No, not really, we'd like to know what gender they are before giving them a name," Another soft sigh, "And if that last half-question was who the father happened to be, I doubt you know him but his name's Caelen."
She shook her head, not really caring anymore. As long as the other mare didn't try to patronize her, they'd get along fine. "It's fine; I've heard these questions before." She bobbed her head once, "I'm Azariel, by the way," She gave the other more a lopsided smile, "I'd say hello from the little ones, but I'm not even sure how many there are."

"Oh!" She exclaimed, and Cosette was quick to shake her head, "No, I was just not happy with myself at that moment for not realizing you were carrying kiddies." She chuckled as she explained, hoofing the ground with her left leg. She didn't like staning still for periods of time. It made her a bit antsy, so she had to do some kind of movement.
She flashed a less nervous smile when the questions were answered, unaware of how child-like and innocent she had been before. She nodded to each answer, in a much calmer fashion, "Well, if it helps," she began. She noticed that the mare had been sighing a lot, and she wondered if it was because of either the preganancy or she had been bothering her. But Cosette continued, "You're going to have really pretty babies, and I'm not just saying that. If they inherit your coat and pieces of their father's, it'll be striking, 'cause white and black bring out other colors." There was an upbeat tone in the arctic mare's voice, her tail swaying side to side.
At the introduction, Cosette bowed her head and her lips turned at another smile, "Azariel, it's a real pleasure meeting you. Cosette's who I am." She giggled lightly, and looked back to Azariel's full belly. "Awww, hello little guys~" Cosette crooned, nearly giggling again.

Azariel shrugged at the response, smiling slightly, "It's okay, I'm just not fond of looks like those," She replied easily, shaking her head, "Luckily, they'll stop when the children come." Even though that would also be an experience she wouldn't welcome again anytime soon. It was better not to think about it at the moment though.
"Oh?" No one but her family had said that to her before, but underlying factors had probably contributed to that so she simply let itt slide, "Thank you, I'm wondering if they'll have blue, like my mother, or just be like myself and their father," She chuckled softly, curious as to what they would be. If one had blue on them she wasn't going to make an issue of it, but to know that her mother had stained another generation wouldn't sit well with her. She'd never show it in front of the child though, that would be asking for pain.
The other mare surprised another laugh from her, "A pleasure to meet you, Cosette," She answered, glanced back at her belly, "Ahh, curiosity," She mumbled absently and then shook her head.
"So what brings you here, Cosette?" She asked politely. Not many people knew of this place to her knowledge.

Cosette was rather curious about the blue comment. She wouldn't bug, as usually when somebody brought up traits from parents to grandkids, it either was a really good tings, or there were underlying tones of dislike. Something in her head buzzed about gaining red eyes instead of blue, which her own father had not been fond of, but for now, she'd just nod. But hey, blue with blackw asn't a bad combo. And white with blue was rather smashing, she thought with a mental grin.
Looking up, Cosette pulled her head back and tossed her mane back. "Well," the mare began, glancing behind herat the way she came. She didn't exactly have a destination in mind, and she had just been venturing around. "I'm roaming around. You see, I'm not from this area in general, so I guess I'm pretty much venturing around," A smile broke out on her face as she looked back to the lake, "Just getting used to being not living in the mountains." She said lightly, her face nearly dropping but she kept her muscles pulled into something of a smile.
Children had to leave home sometime, right? Even if it wasn't intentional... Of course, they could stay at their birth grounds, as it had to feel like home. She wondered if Azariel's offspring would live by the lake after they were fully grown.
"You think your kiddies will live around this lake once they're full grown?" She inquired, her eyes still on the body of water. Even though moving away sounded like apart of life, having your kin close by had to be cmforting, right?

"Ah," Replied Az, nodding once, "A wanderer? You should be careful," A look glinted in her eyes but she forced it away, "Don't get too attached to anyone if you don't want to stay or return." A shake of her head, she didn't need to bring old issues into this conversation. It would be foolish of her on all counts.
"So you have decided to stay around here?" That was a pleasant surprise, "Then, please, ignore my comment," A dismissing motion was made, "I meant nothing by it. How do you like this land so far? I'm afraid this place is all I've ever known." Not that she had wanted it that way.
"Hmm?" She blinked at the blue and white mare, "Oh, we don't live especailly close to here," She informed the other mare, smiling a bit, "The teepee is about an hour or so's run away from here. Walking--" A sigh, "--takes a bit longer." She smiled again, "But I don't know if they'll like this place enough to do something like that. I hope so, though." It'd make her feel better.

The change of words confused Cosette, and immediatly she was curious as to why it would hurt if she had gotten attatched. If others new she was a traveler, they'd be forgiving, right? She mentally shook off the almost chilling words, and just nodded in agreement to ignore the mare's comment.
Cosette turned her eyes back to the lake, and a smile returned back onto her lips, "Well, I think it's a bit too warm for what I'm used too at times, but it's quite roomy and homey. I've met some interesting Soquili here too, so I'm bound to make some great memories here. Ones that I can actually call on," She laughed lightly, knowing well that she herself could not call on memories of her home very sufficiently. Her mouth fell agape slightly at Azariel's words. She couldn't see how many could just stay in one area for their lives, but then again, everyone was different. And in these lands... Who would want to leave?
"Ohhhhh," The arctic mare nodded as she understood. "That's a long run... And you have to walk, right?" Her face mirrored sympathy for the mare's long trip to the lake and back if she had to walk. However, a light smile took part on her face as Azariel brought up hoping her children would stay, "There's a lot of room to grow up around here. I think if I lived here I wouldn't necessarily leave for a long time." She watched the water ripple slightly as apparently a fis had eben swimming closer to the surface.

Azariel smiled, "Colder places, you say? That sounds like an adventure in itself, doesn't it?" She chuckled softly, almost to herself. Why did no one understand that she hadn't wanted to stay either? The only thing that had kept her here originally was her father and even that hadn't been a direct order on his part.
Az nodded an affrimative to the mare's assumptions. Running was almost impossible nowadays. Ahhh, when this was all over she had a lovely trip planned for her legs. They wouldn't enjoy it at all, either.
"I hope so, but traveling runs deep in my family, I won't be surprised if they do leave," She shrugged slightly, "I just hope they alert me to that fact, first. It'd be nice to know when they were going to leave and when I could hope to expect them to return." She hadn't gotten that from anyone except Caelen--and even he'd been late.
A sigh rippled through her, followed by the sharp pain as one of the ones inside her decided it wanted to move again. "Ach, that's getting rather annoying," She grumbled softly. Caelen enjoyed it, she did not.

The arctic mare offered a smile in return, and cast a soft lok towards the lake, "You say that traveling runs deep in your family, but have you done a lot of traveling yourself?" Cosette inquired, curious of the tone that Azariel had said those words about colder places. Cosette had only been traveling recently on accident, but she bet that the drive to adventure was still there in her, just as the mare before her must have wanted to venture around. But when carrying young, Cosette knew that traveling would prove to be much difficulty.
Looking back to the older mare, her face fell breifly when she had grumbled. Cosette guessed it was one of the offspring, and an idea hit her at that moment, "Maybe you and um... His name... Caelen, right? Should take a trip to the mountains with your offspring! It'd probably be nice to venture about when not heavy with young~" She suggested, her face brightening up at the idea.
The blue and white mare was very fond of trips up the mountain, as she assumed it was where she was from. And a little chill was good for anyone, right?

Azariel shook her head solemnly, "No, I haven't. I believe only my father and I have not." She shrugged absently, "Everyone else in the family left so...I decided to stay, if only because I could keep him company until others arrived." She sighed, "But I managed to meet Caelen while around here and in my current condition--" A lopsided grin graced her features, "It's not as if I can travel very much."
She nodded once to confirm the correct name and listened before shrugging, "I'm sure Caelen would enjoy it and perhaps the children as well." She smiled, "But I don't know whether or not we can do such a thing anytime soon." Life was going to be so busy once the little ones popped out of their baskets, she doubted she'd have time to do much else than look after them, let alone plan a trip.
"It'd be nice to venture out and feel like I'm alond at any time," She grumbled softly, shifting position again, "I'm never comfortable anymore and won't be until they're born. Lucky, aren't I?" A sigh, she was if one considered new life a blessing, otherwise, it was a vague annoyance. It'd be worht it though, right?
