Okay, I'm a newly awakened bi...I think.

I have a friend that I am now going out with and her name's Amanda. We haven't gone on a date yet because I'm so busy right now.

But to tell the truth, I'm terrified to go out with her. My dad doesn't know I'm bi, and I think my mom would flip if I told her I was going out with a girl.

I want to go out with her, but I get way too nervous, and to make matters worse, when we got off the phone yesterday she said 'I love you' before she hung up. (She's had a crush on me for a long time)

I don't know what to do, but if I worry anymore, I'll make myself sick.

Perhaps you need to put a little more trust into your parents. If they truely do care about you they will eventually accept you, even thought at first they may seem reluctant to accept the way you are. Just find a way to come out to them and do it when you feel the time is right. And also if you like someone, go ahead and go out with them, and until you decide to come out to your parents, just keep it a secret and don't call it a date in front of them. In the end it should all work out for you.

*thinks* There's always the option of not telling your family that it's a "date" and saving the "coming out" for a later...time (I almost said date!) That way you can get the chance to figure out how to tell them so that you're not a nervous wreck and they're not worried about you.

Or take Tenaku's advice! You know your parents better than anyone and you know how they would react!

Yes, I agree with Fadia. Don't tell them that you are going out on a 'date' with this girl, just say you guys are going out to have a good time... you know like you and your other friends would normally do. And if you haven't done that before then just tell your parents that you would like to go out with a friend. Tell them where you are going and how to reach you and what time you'll be back, that sorta thing. Then things should be okay with your parents... as far as they know wink

And about your girlfriend. Be totally honest with her. It's your first time dating a girl and you are nervous. That you would like to wait a while before you say 'I love you' because I'd like to know for sure that I do. And the thing you must do in situations like this is to take things slow... Let me repeat myself. Take things Slow.
Heh. If you don't think that you can go out with her by yourself the first time ask if you guys could go out with some friends to break the ice. Then move up to going alone.

I have to agree with everything that was said here!

And really, you might not want to tell your parents. I told my parents and now I'm starting to regret it, although at first I Thought it would be fine.
