Wrong Date, Wrong Time ~ Modern [Open & Accepting]
PLOT
As everyone knows, the apocalypse was supposed to happen nearly 1 year ago. Well, what if that was just the wrong date, what if that was the day where they had to choose and what if that person was already born?
It was little more than a year ago, at least as far as I can remember. They said it would happen on that day, they said that the world would be destroyed, but yet it was not. Perhaps that day was just to be the setting of the clock, counting down until its true emergence into the dieing world. Two years… it took two years for the watch to beep and it was on that day, on the day of the eclipse that they chose, to be salvation or damnation.
SETTING
School. Morning of June 5th, 2008. People are running around, this way and that. Either because exams are on their way in two weeks or that the eclipse is coming on that day, who knows? There’s a cool breeze and although summer isn’t technically there, it feels like it. Wars in third world countries have started to spread over to North America and more and more people are being called out. For all anyone knows, the war could escalate and bombings could happen even here, in the country of peace.

ACCEPTED CHARACTERS
•Gaia Name: blue_angel_forever •Name: Paige •Nickname: N/A •Age: Fifteen •Gender: Female •Weight: 126 pounds •Height: 5’ 5” •Appearance: She has straight, layered chestnut brown hair with hazel eyes. She’s rather pale, slim and has a medium frame. Being only 5’ 5”, she usually looks up to people who are towering above her. Wearing brown, worn out skater shoes with a light blue trim around them and baggy, dark blue jeans, she’s nearly never seen without them. Her tops on the other hand consist of spaghetti tang tops, ranging from black, to dark green camo. •Profession: Student •Skills: She usually excels at most things. Most of the time it evolves academics or hacking into other computers. She is not so talented at physical things though, but can defend herself somewhat well from the bullies and gangs around town. She’s mostly good at hacking into other computers via the net where she can learn some things she should not know. So far she’s never been found out by the local military. Lately she has not been hacking so often. •Inventory: An MP3 player, her house keys, a first aid kit, some money and a picture of her family. Sometimes she carries around homework or books from school. •Personality: She can be somewhat cold and heartless from time to time, wanting to be alone just as any other teenager. Most of the time though, she’s rather cheerful and is always getting into trouble. She can never seem to hold a grudge against anyone, even those who have betrayed her time and time again. Sometimes she has large personality switches though, being cheerful one moment and sadistic the next. •Bio: Paige grew up as the cheerful little girl that everyone loved, well until she became a goody-goody that is. Around the age of seven she lost her mom in a car accident and went through a very depressing time until she was eleven. She has been slowly regaining her cheerful self but from time to time she can be very depressing.
Her father is a government agent, traveling from place to place most of the time, leaving her alone in an empty house. To keep herself entertained, and to watch over her father, she usually hacks into the security cameras. To do so at the age of sixteen is quite impressive, if anyone other than herself knew. She’s quite intelligent, having an IQ just under the level of genius. She hides it well though, making mistakes here and there, even if she doesn’t try to. She’s not very athletic though. Whenever her father returns from his work he tries to get her to go to the gym or join a team. She usually does for the time her father is at home but leaves afterwards.
At school she’s cheerful and forgiving. As far as her friends know, she’s extremely smart for her grade and should skip at least a few but she does not want to. She’s not all that athletic and gets in trouble more often than you could shake a finger at. She never tells them what she does to get in the trouble she does. Her life is mostly kept secret. With all the spying she does, she’s afraid that if the military ever found out she was hacking in that her friends would get involved.
• Gaia Name: Bouillaguntap • Name: Christopher • Nickname: Chris • Age: 15 • Gender: Male • Weight: 137 • Height: 5'11"
• Appearance: With his medium length styled blonde hair and classically handsome looks, Chris could easily pass for someone famous - not that he would want to. He has deep hazel eyes and wears casual clothes - t-shirt, jeans, trainers. By his appearance he is not easily sterotyped and that is how he likes it.
• Profession: Student
• Skills: Whilst he is intellectually clever, he prefers to focus on more artistic skills such as painting and writing. He has converted the shed in his overgrown garden into a studio and that is where he paints, writes and thinks.
• Inventory: Small notebook, selection of sketching pencils, phone, money, key to the shed
• Personality: Chris is not the easiest person to talk to - he is constantly wrapped up in his own thoughts and dreamworld that he often forgets he is even with any one else. But when he is interested in a conversation he will say his opinions and on occasions he has been known to have a good debate.
If anything, his problem is that he is not focused enough on anything - such as school - that he is not interested in. When he gets an idea he will write it in the notebook he carries around - a notebook that has been confiscated by a teacher and stolen back from that teacher many a time.
• Bio: Chris' dad left before he was born, and as far as Chris is concerned he never had a dad - he has never felt compelled to find him. After all, he must have been never wanted by him, otherwise he wouldn't have left. His mother worked in the local shop until she was fired and fell ill - she now rarely leaves her bedroom and Chris brings her food and everything else she needs, and then he will retire to his room outside.
As for him, he preferred solitude, even in school when people tried to make friends he would mostly ignore them - not through pride, but through the fact that his own thoughts and idea amused him enough. And so for most of his years he was left alone.
•Gaia Name: katie_coo •Name: Daisy Jones •Nickname: Daisy •Age: 15 •Gender: female •Weight: 110 lbs •Height: 5'2" •Appearance: Daisy is of a petite build which means that she spends most of her time looking up to people with her large saphire eyes that seem to glitter in the light. Her hair is made up of loose blonde ringlets that fall to the middle of her back, and a straight cut fringe above her eyes that shines for it is straight. A pink ribbon-that is being used as a head band- is tied in a bow pushes the ringlets back slightly. The combination of peaches-and-cream skin and rosy cheeks give Daisy a typically pretty and innocent look. However, in Daisy's saphire eyes there is a glint that shows that she may not be as innocent as she seems.
Usually, Daisy's attire consists of a pink dress that is fitted at the top the neckline going around her chest with no sleeves, but at the bottom, netting is used to push out the skirt so it floats around her like an old fashioned ball gown that falls to just above the knees. She pairs this dress usually with pink wellies that come up to just below her knee and are covered in floral patterns.
Daisy's girly exterior comes across with her voice. She has a typical English accent and has a very soft and (mostly) quiet voice.
•Profession: Student •Skills: Daisy has a rather unique talent for manipulating people and being able to get her own way. She is constantly aware of everything around her. She is clever and fast allowing her to think on her feet and learn quickly. Aswell as this, Daisy is a talented actress- but has no intention of becoming a professional actress- which allows her to change the way she lets others see her.
She is accedemically bright and has little trouble with school work- but she prefers to bumble along not really making herself known. She has average sporting abilities but despises team games- although she lets few people see this. She generally perfers to...work on her own. •Inventory: Daisy carries around with her a notebook for doodling in during classes, a novelty pencil case of frog that zips open across its yellow tummy to reveal brightly coloured pens and pencils along with a red fountain pen, many novelty keyrings but no keys and a small pink purse that a few coins jangle around in. •Personality: Daisy appears to be sweet and innocent- but that couldn't be further from the truth. She is devious, always causing trouble but never being found out. As she is manipulative nobody knows about how nasty she can really be. She is quiet and can appear shy, but this is when she is summing up the people she is with- the people who may become victims.
However, she is very childish and can be fun to be around. She adores all her favourite childhood games but is very intrested in learning new things. •Bio: As a young child, Daisy lived on a farm in the south of England. She grew up with her older sister and parents- they were like a picture book family in the photos. However, her father was called away to work in America and so the family had to leave their happy lives for what seemed -to her- as an adventure.
Once in America everything changed. Her older sister fell in with the wrong crowd and ended up in prison and her father could not find work and so forced her mother to work long hours as a maid in a hotel. Because of this Daisy became quiet and tried hard with friends- always failing as they made fun of her life. Her life was a misery and her childhood years turned from wonderful to despisable. Before long she moved to a care home and was soon fostered- to her relief. Daisy became talented at mainpulating people and found that getting her own way was the only right way.
•Gaia Name: ~lil_KiKi_Angel~ •Name: Angelica Robins •Nickname: Angel •Age: 15 •Gender: female •Weight: 105lb •Height: 5'4'' •Appearance: Sort blue hair that only goes down to the middle of her neck with bangs, ocean blue eyes, light skin, slender figure and long legs. wears a light blue tank top with a small, vest-like, black jacket, jean pants, and a black tote bag. •Profession: Student •Skills: drawing and about average grades in school...yea thats pretty much it sweatdrop •Inventory: drawing pad, a bag of pencils, colored pencils and pens. an ipod shuffle, text books, ruled paper for school, a pack of gum, cell phone, a novel, some manga, and other schoolsupplies like glue, a ruler, ect. •Personality: shy, friendly, klutsy, doesnt like large crowds, doesnt like people she doesnt/kinda knows to touch her stuff, can have an anger problem at times, loves cats, bird and snakes, scared of large spiders but is ok with little ones and doesnt like to kill bugs unless their large spiders, beattles, or bees/wasps. •Bio: her family died from a fire when she was young, so she lives with her aunt. she also had white wings since she was five that she can hide within her back. any other info is unknown.

June 5th, 2008 – 7: 50am - Two Weeks – Almost Exams
The breeze was wonderful, the clouds went by slowly and everything was perfect despite people running around trying to get their last minute projects into the teachers before finals. Paige lay on the grass under a large oak tree. She took a deep breath and starred at the clouds above. They floated so wonderfully and the world seemed at peace, even though the wars in third-world countries were starting to escalate and bring the wars to North America. But for now, at this very moment, nothing seemed wrong.
As soft breeze came again, the scent of summer was all around, even though it was early in the morning, the humidity was bumping up the temperature. Paige lay on the cool grass wearing nothing more than a camo spaghetti strap shirt and some dark blue jeans. On her feet were brown skater shoes and they lay out in the rising sun.
She was rather pale and didn’t bother to put sunscreen on. She knew she wouldn’t burn and she knew that she wouldn’t tan easily so it was annoying when people told her she was. She blinked for a moment, coming back to reality as her deep hazel eyes glanced over to her left to see a small ladybug. She smiled.
Her chestnut brown hair was layered but you could hardly see that as she continued to lie there. Around her neck there was a small, silver necklace that had a star in the centre and all points were extremely sharp. She didn’t mind it though, the points touched her neck and not once had it ever cut her or chocked her, and perhaps she was just lucky.
She sighed, it was all too beautiful. Paige was almost sixteen and she wished that her birthday wasn’t near exam time this year. They started on her birthday too and sometimes she wished she didn’t procrastinate. She’d always study on the day of the exam and pass with flying colours but yet she knew this year that wouldn’t happen. She sat up and looked around, people were still running this way and that and she laughed slightly. They cared too much about grades.

Christopher walked along slowly, his gaze up at the clouds in the sky. It was a lovely day, spoiled by the fact that he was at school, but it was only a temporary jail at least. Just, oh, a few more years and he'd be free...
The wind picked up for a few seconds and swept his hair back; he closed his eyes and enjoyed the breeze. It was a stressful time for many in his school, but he himself was not worried. Sure, he could fail, but in the long term that wasn't going to bother him. Instead his mind would stray to the unwritten story in the back of his mind, the half-finished painting stood up against the wall in his shed-made-into-a-studio.
Now he opened his eyes again, wary that he might walk into one of the panicked people who were rushing around. He let a fleeting smile pass across his face, but it left as soon as it had arrived. Stopping to check his watch, he frowned. Seven fifty. So much wasted time...

Paige watched as people ran about the school, coming in and out and back again. More people were even starting to come and they quickly began doing what others were. “What sheep…” She mumbled, looking about. At first it was amusing to watch them run about, to almost hit each other break each other’s projects, but now, it was boring. She yawned, watching this made her sleepy. She stretched and looked about one more time. If nothing interesting were to happen, sleep would be good. At least she wouldn’t miss anything that way. Besides, she hadn’t had a good night sleep in awhile.
She looked to the school’s entrance. It was a large hole, as she liked to call it, in the middle of a stonewall fence that lined the entire school. She guessed it was to keep the miscreants in. She watched as more came in and one person, out of all of them stood out, even if they hadn’t tried to. It appeared as though they were in some sort of faze, away from the rest of the world. She smiled; someone else didn’t seem to care about the exams either. She watched as he came out of his trance, and looked down to his watch. She lay down on the grass again and waited. If she stood out as much as he did at the moment, she guessed he would come over, walk by or just go back into his own little world.

Looking back up from his watch, Christopher stepped out of the path of two girls who seemed to have no consideration of who they knocked over in their mad dash for the school. He shook his head slightly and walked out across the expanse of green grass, observing the patches of yellow brought out by the strong sun and lack of water. The school should take better care of the grass, really.
His own garden was overgrown, but healthy, and he liked it that way. He imagined it to be somewhat of a jungle, obscuring the house from the shed's window view, as if he were in his own world, not that he wasn't most of the time anyway. The most he did each day was water the plants if it were hot, or clip away the long grass from around small plants that were having problems in reaching sunlight. We couldn't bring himself to mow the grass or cut down trees as his mother had once done - he could barely remember when the garden had been in pristine condition, all those years ago. Now the grass was so long a cat could have hidden there and not been seen, and birds had made nests in the trees and hedges around.
Passing a tall oak tree, Chris glimpsed a lone figure laying down underneath it. Strange, really, someone who wasn't rushing. For the second time that day Chris smiled slightly as he walked past.

Paige had closed her eyes when he had come over, acting as though she were asleep. From time to time, as he was in his own little world, she would peak to see if he was in reality or not. It seemed he liked his own thoughts better. When he turned his back to continue by, she opened her eyes for a second before speaking to him. "Heh," She smiled, "it seems as though there's someone else who doesn't care too much about exams, or is just not stressed." She commented before sitting up and looked to him. She was interested as to why he wasn't nervous like the rest. She had her own story, her own reasons, but she wondered about his.

Christopher blinked a few times, as if shaking himself from a daydream, and looked over at the girl under the tree - the girl who had spoken. He observed her for a few moments - chestnut hair, slim, casually dressed - and concluded he'd never spoken to her before. That wasn't strange though, he usually only spoke if spoken to and now he was being spoken to. He had better say something.
"Yeah... there's more important things to worry about," he replied. He didn't smile, but his eyes lit up and it seemed he had pulled himself out of his thoughts for a few moments. And indeed there were more important things to worry about, but he tended not to.

Paige smiled, it seemed she taken him out of his world. "What other things are there to worry about?" She asked, starring at him. She knew that he would probably want to leave, she was a random stranger after all. As she starred at him, she was noticing some of his features, he appeared as though he could be a famous person. She doubted he was. If he was, the tabloids would be here and she would have read about it on the net.

Chris paused for a few moments. "You know. Diseases, poverty, death. That kinda thing... it's more important then some exam," he said quietly, looking out across the field. He was becoming unnerved by her constant staring, and wondered why she was.
From where he was standing the yellow patches of grass looked like they'd been painted on there - like the lines on a tennis court, or graffiti sprayed by some vandal. He took a mental snapshot of the image - he could use it at a later time - and flicked his gaze around, looking but not seeing. His thoughts were away again.

"Heh, perhaps your right. Of course a good education will usually bring more people to listen than one without one." She paused and smiled, "The name's Paige by the way." She streached and noticed that he was off again, or at least somewhat. It was hard to tell, he was good at seeming like he was here yet not, "So how is that world of your's?" She asked, falling back onto the ground and starring at the folage above. She may have been wrong about him heading back in there, but the truth was, she wondered why he kept going into there. She knew she had at least stopped him a few times, he did respond back after all.

Chris found himself snapped back to the conversation her was currently engaged in. "Paige..." he muttered to himself, as if committing it to memory. He was silent for a moment, as if remembering what he had to say. "Oh. My name's Christopher."
An aeroplane passed overhead and he looked up to watch it, his eyes following the trail it left and the shapes it made. The sky today was cloud-less and the aeroplane line across it was like a scar across skin - harsh and destructive. In response to Paige's latest remark, he murmured something to her about having a short attention span and continued to watch the aeroplane. Finally he managed to shake himself out of it, and smiled almost apologetically.
