User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. Night time had completely came. It wasn't really the time she came out at, but the young snow leopard ulaya found herself very much lost. She shouldn't have left the pack to go hunting without her brother or someone. She just shouldn't have!! She slowly and quietly walked along the dark path. Of course, she wasn't as quiet as her brother, Tobias. She shook her head. This was stupid, she could have sworn this was the way she came.

Her long tail flicked back and forth. The moonlight hit her light fur, making it shimmer just a bit. Her icy eyes seemed to sparkle with the moonlight. She couldn't see that well at night, again, a thing her brother was better at. She was more of a day hunter.

She hadn't been totally watching where she was going. She tripped over something. Most likely a log, or something similar. THUMP "ooof" Was the sound that escaped her lips as she hit face first into the ground. She wasn't this clumsy ever. What had gotten into her? Of course, being stressed, and slightly frightened of this area, made it a little more understanding.

User ImageDubhán had risen as the sun had bestowed its last rays of sun unto the earth. The night was cold, almost cold enough for him to see his own misty breath. Whereas he didn't usually enjoy cold climates, he had to admit to himself that the occasional chilly night in a forest like this thrilled him. The icy winds that sent him chilling to the bone was a nice refresher, and it kept him on his toes.

He had been slinking around in the forest, silently debating with himself whether or not he felt like hunt at present, when he had first heard it. He wasn't exactly sure what it was he had heard at first, but soon realized that there was another larger animal sharing this part of the forest with him tonight. He had to keep back a snarl, he didn't feel like running into other ulayas at the moment. After a few seconds of silence, another branch snapped under the intruder, and his curiousity got the best of him.

Slowly sneaking forward, he spotted a slightly smaller ulaya infront of him, unmistakenly female. He was a mildly surprised to see a female roaming around alone at this time of the hour, and decided to follow her. It could get interesting.

When she fell forward and landed flat on her face, he couldn't contain his laughter anymore. He gave away his hiding spot by barking out a sharp, cruel laugh, obviously enjoying the other's misfortune.

Nicolieus stayed to the ground as she heard what was unmistakable another. Though, the other didn't at all seem like the one she wanted to run into. Her heart began to race as her ears went back. She was flat on the ground trying to hide from whatever was watching her. She wasn't normally scared, but that laughter... It wasn't right.

Her breathing was quiet, yet it was hard for her to breath as her heart continued to go faster. She wanted to move, yet she didn't. She didn't like this one bit. Her eyes were wide and looking about. Though, she wasn't exactly sure where the laughter came from. Was it in front of her, behind her, or what.

She didn't want to say anything. Maybe the other wasn't laughing at her at all, but at some kill he had done? No, no one could be that cruel, right? Her tail was fluffed up and curled around her slowly as she sat as flat as she could. Finally her breathing became a little heavier as she couldn't hold it quiet from her heart.

User ImageHe saw her body tense, and noted the frantic look in her eyes. She was obviously scared. He smiled cruelly. She didn't seem to know where he was sitting, although he had been certain that she would have picked up on it from his laugh. He shrugged at himself before realizing how much fun he could have with this, once again letting an evil look cross his face.

He circled her slowly, making sure to make some of the branches under his feet. He wanted her to know that there was somebody there. He wanted to play with her mind, and mess with her. He needed some fun.

"Well, well, well" he drawled, as he continued to walk in a circle around her, making sure to stay out of sight. "What do we have here...?"

She closed her eyes as she listened to his foot steps. She was a hunter, better then this. She shouldn't be afraid. She wasn't just some stupid girl! She continued to listen to him as he circled, then when he spoke up, she twitched a little.

Opening up her eyes carefully to look about, she could see his shape, but nothing else. She noticed he had a long tail as well. His eyes seemed to stand out the most of him. She didn't like them. Not at all. They were creepy, and he had a look of evil.

Her face went mean, and she showed her teeth. She knew she was weaker, but if she had to, she'd attack just to get out of there. Though, she would make sure that was the last thing she did. Maybe she could find some other way out of this. She continued to sit quietly. Not saying a word, though her breathing was still heavy and her heart was skipping beats since it was going too fast.

She tried to calm herself down, but it was hard when she was so very alone. She didn't realize it until she happened to find herself in this situation. Oh, how she wished she woke her brother. Why was she so stupid sometimes? Though, she did want some time alone. Her fur was up a bit as she growled a little at the other.

User ImageHis trained eyes picked up on the slight twitch the smaller ulaya made at the sound of his voice. He bared his fangs in a soundless grin. He let his paws take him a few steps closer, to get a better look.

As she growled, he laughed a laugh laced with cold amusement. "Mrrr... feisty little one, aren't we?" he let out a bored growl, his ear twitching back slightly, listening to the panicking flaps of wings, as it scared a small bird from its resting place. Deciding that it was about time to let her see her terrorizer, he was just about to take the last few steps into the clearing.

As a stray beam from the moon hit her sitting there, he stopped dead in his track. He had long before noticed her special features so much like his own, which had only fueled his determination to intimidate her, but the moon now revealed her true colors, so to speak.

At once, all amusement left his eyes, only leaving cold anger and rage. His grin became a hateful scowl, laced with mirth. What was up with his luck lately? Hadn't he JUST met another one like this? Would his past continue to haunt him like this? Was his fate really to be tortured like this? He let out a sudden snarl. All he wanted to do right now was tear her to pieces. Keeping himself hidden in the shadows still, he abruptly sat down, his tail twitching furiously behind him.

She continued to watch the shadow of him. As soon as the moon had showed them both, he had changed. Oh, it wasn't for the best. It wasn't good at all. Her eyes got wider as he changed and then hid himself. Was it the fact that they both had long tails, or was it something else. It was still way too dark to actually see he had spots. Or at least from her angle.

She jumped to her feet pretty fast. Her ears were down, and she was looking for a good way to escape. Her hair stood on end as she looked back at him. She knew he could catch her pretty fast, he could probably climb better then her aswell.

"What do you want." She finally said in a low growl. Her eyes narrowed as she glared at the other. Claws out, just in case he charged her and she had to run. Her body was completely still, well, as still as she could be. Her legs shook slightly, but only noticeable if up close to her.

User ImageHe watched her get up and heard her growl. He had noticed her eyes search for a way out, and had silently taken pleasure in the fact that he was atleast causing her just as much terror as she was making him angry.

When he spoke again, it was with anything but amusement. "What do I want?" he spat out the question. "I want my goddamn past to leave me the ******** alone!!" he snarled before realizing what he had said. He hadn't meant to say that, which just fueled his anger even further.

His tail twitching dangerously behind him, he finally walked into the clearing completely, letting the clear moonlight finally show his frightening figure. "I want you and all those like you to die..." he said in a dangerously low and calm tone "...preferably a slow and painful death at the end of my claws" He was once more circling the smaller ulaya, his trained yellow eyes glued to her feline frame.

She growled more. "I have nothing to do with your past!" She yelled out at the crazy Ulaya. What was his problem? She'd never met anyone like him. Finally, he went into the moon light to show he had spots too. she was slightly surprised with what she saw. She already knew he had a long tail, but she wouldn't have guessed he'd have spots. They were hard to see, but she could see slight traces of them.

Her tail was tightly to her side. His next words didn't totally surprise her as he said them. Why would he want anyone to die. She was not his family. She narrowed her eyes and watched him carefully. She realized there was no way out of this yet. "Why? What did I ever do to you?" She said in a low voice.

User ImageNothing to do with his past? She had everything to do with his past. ANY cat like ulaya could somehow be linked to his past. He snarled at her dangerously. It was evident that she thought he was crazy. Part of him completely agreed with her. He was crazy, what was he doing, taking out his past on a random ulaya he came across? But he wasn't about to throw himself on the ground and admit to this. His other more sane, according to him, side, objected 100% to this.

At her next question, he let out a coarse laugh. "Why? Are you asking me why?" he sat down abruptly, rubbing his scarred eye absentmindly on his shoulder, before snapping his eyes back to the lighter feline "because you were born a cat" he hissed "and as far as I'm concerned, you are ALL alike." his voice dangerously low, he continued "non-accepting of difference, and willing to hurt your own youngster. Hence, miscreants of this world"

She was taken aback by that. Non-accepting? Her and her brother were nothing a-like. She was more brown, and he was more silver. She looked at him with a stern look. "You know nothing about me, so you can't really say weather I'm accepting or not." She said defending herself. Who cared if she was cat-like. Well, he did, obviously.

"I would never, NEVER, hurt my little brother. I don't even know where you got your wild idea." She said. Was that what happened to him. How he got that scar on his face? She didn't question him about it. He seemed touchy enough about how she looked. Her tail flicked lightly on the ground. She watched his movements.

User ImageHe noticed the surprise in her eyes, and snorted. "Yeah yeah, I'm sure you are certain that you are nothing like the ones I have had the misfortune of knowing, but let me assure you, you are just like them, perhaps you just haven't realized it yet"

At the mention of a brother, his eyes clouded over with even more anger, if it was even possible. Realizing how far he had let the little girl push him, he snapped his jaws, tasting a sligthly ironlike taste in his mouth, signaling that he had indeed just managed to cut himself on his own fangs. He growled slightly as his own antics, before calming himself down. He wouldn't allow this little girl to get a rise out of him. He was better than that. "Remember..." he hissed "...those you love are the ones who will hurt you the most."

She tilted her head and raised an eye brow. How could she be just like them? She couldn't hurt anyone she cared about. "Why would I hurt those I care about?" She question him with as stern voice narrowing her eyes.

Again, a surprised look came a crossed her face. She hadn't even thought about her brother hurting her. He wouldn't they were too close in bonds. "He wouldn't." she said in a confident voice added with a nodded. She kept as calm as ever, even though her heart was beating fast from the fright of the other. She didn't know if he was going to attack her, or if she could talk her way out of this.

She tried to hide as much as possible her fear of him attacking her. She wasn't strong, and she knew he'd kill her easily if he got a chance. " We are too close for us to hurt each other." She said with again with her stern voice. Her eyes still narrowed at the dark figure.

He simply looked at her coldly. Was she really that moronic? Did she not realize that she would always be hurting those around her, with the things she subconsciously did? He snorted. Here he was, trying to warn her, to teach her maybe a small lesson, but she was obviously too much of an ignorant, to understand the importance of what he was saying. In other words, he was wasting his time. And Dubhan wasn't exactly fond of wasting his time.

"You are an insolent fool" he snapped "and fools do not deserve to live... they are a disgrace to the rest of us" his eyes were cold as he looked her over. He knew she could most likely pack a fight, but she would really have to get lucky to beat him. He waited for her answer to the claim of her being a fool, before making his final decision. He was already in a bad mood, and he felt like tasting blood...

Her fear had gone away, and replaced with irritation. She didn't want trouble, and all he was saying was that she had no one. Well, at the moment she did have no one to come to her rescue. She had stopped looking for an escape, and just decided to listen to what the male had to say. She gave a slight nod when he said she was a fool.

She looked to the ground, and then back at him. "I am no fool." She snapped back at him. She knew the conversation was going to be soon over if she didn't think of something fast. "Maybe I can't trust anyone, as you have proven right here." she said her blue eyes seemed to be a lot brighter at night then in the day. "Maybe my brother will hurt me one day."

"But what do you care?" She asked him. Not rudely, or in a frightened voice. Rather a very curious one. Each second passed, she had to try to get him not to attack her. Just a bit longer.
