Tobias walked gracefully through a field of flowers until he reached a rock-lined stream. Walking gracefully through knee-high plants was no easy task! Bending over slowly, he carefully examined his reflexion. He dare not drink as to not risk loosing this picture. Having no mirrors or anything else of that manner, it was one of the few instances where he actually saw himself.
Tobias laughed as he shook his head and watched the silver star bounce the beams of the sun around.

Hajime had just woken up, and decided to go for a walk. The forest was nearly empty and Hajime grew very bored, very fast. Today was a lazy day, so he couldn't find anyone to play with. So, with his tail dragging on the ground, Hajime found a rock and started to kick it as he walked.
This was kind of...fun. Hajime started to kick the rock farther and run faster, pretending he was a soccer player. Nearing the river, he decided to make that his goal. Winding up for the kick to beat all kicks, Hajime just noticed another Hesperdian at the river's edge. Unable to stop, Hajime kicked the rock and prayed it wouldn't hit the Minya.

Being so preoccupied with his reflection, Tobias failed to notice a rock come hurling his way. At the last second, however, for whatever reason, he lifted his head up just in time to be nailed straight in the forehead by a flying rock. The force wasn't enough to knock him down, but Tobias was very startled and, honestly, mad. Looking around quickly, Tobias searched for what or who had thrown the rock at him.
Standing tense beside a willow tree, Tobias spotted the only other creature in site, a bright green itoku with yellow hair. The poor thing looked so frightened Tobias couldn't stay mad at him.

All Hajime could do was stand there, frozen in his place. The rock had hit the Minya. Not only did it just hit him, the rock hit him straight in the head. If Hajime had ever learned something from life, it was not to mess with others who are bigger than you. And this Minya was definetly bigger.
"U-u-uhh...s-s-sorry!" Hajime managed to studder out through shallow breaths. "I-I didn't s-s-see you th-there!"
Regaining his composure, Hajime was ready to run if the Minya was really mad. But looking at his expression, Hajime could tell he didnt' look all that mad.

Unable to hold it in any longer, Tobias let out a faint laugh. Holding his breath was all he could do to prevent himself from losing it with laughing. The little itoku seemed so frightened even though the shot had obviously been an accident. Gracefully turning back over the surface of the water, Tobias made sure his headplate was all in order. Luckily, the material had survived the encounter without a scratch.
Turning back to the itoku, Tobias smiled, "Oh, it was nothing really. The same thing could have happened to anyone!"

Hajime's fear quickly turned to confusion as the Minya started to laugh. He couldn't figure out what was so funny. Maybe it was the fact that Hajime thought he might start to cry. Are all Minyas like this? Hajime thought to himself. This was the first time he had ever met one. Listening to the silver Minya, Hajime calmed down and hoped all the Minyas were this nice. During this time, Hajime made a few mental notes: Minyas=good, and soccer + rocks=bad.
Hajime took a few, but not many, steps foward towards the Minya. "I really am sorry!" Hajime sighed letting his ears fall, "Talk about starting off on a bad note, I'm Hajime."

The poor little itoku acted as if it had never been around a Minya before; so he wasn't sure how to act. Tobias commonly took short walks, meetings many, if not all, of the other species along the way. Smiling politely, Tobias decided the right thing to do was, of course, greet Hajime back. "My name is Tobias. It is very lovely to meet you Hajime. As I said before, this incident could have happened to anyone; don't worry one more second about it." Tobias stated evenly, nodding his head slightly.
Glancing back towards the dirt path he first came from, Tobias thought of a way to show the itoku there was no harm. "Why don't we take a walk? The day is hot and the trees are wonderful against the sun's rays."

"S-sure, Tobias" Hajime spat out, feeling more relaxed now. If this Minya was really out to get him, then he was a very good actor. Hajime was fairly new in town and hadn't had the time or courage to look around. But now that Hajime wouldn't be alone, he decided it would be a good idea to take a better look around. Plus it was a hot day and a little shade would be nice.
So, Hajime walked up to Tobias's side and waited for the Minya to walk first. Still unsure of where to go.

Tobias could sense the poor little Itoku's uncertainty. The last thing he wanted was for someone to fear him. All he could do was act exactly the way he normally did and surely the other creature would loosen up.
Walking through the forest, the sun made an appearance in bursts from behind the thick leaves. To strike up a conversation, Tobias asked, "So tell me little one, what brings you here?"

Hajime had to keep a fast pace to keep up with the larger Tobias, so he made sure to keep his little legs going. But other than that things were going good, it was nice to meet new Hesperide. "Well, as you saw earlier, I was playing soccer. But I was also kinda looking around." Hajime answered looking around at the scenery. It took him longer to warm up to non-Itoku but Hajime started to feel more relaxed now.

"Ah yes, this land is very beautiful." Tobias said, feeling a twinge of pride. He was lucky enough to live in a land free of worry, harm, or trouble. If he wished, Tobias could pick out some spot on a grassy hill and lay there all day without a care in the world; save for the grumbling of his stomach.
Up ahead of them came into view a crowded spot filled with all species of creatures lining the streets. Tobias happened to know that this spot was an extremely popular one to chat and hang out with friends at. "This should be fun." Tobias said, giving Hajime a quick glance.
