Splash splash splash
Prancing along like a colt in the ocean waves as they crashed and swept up onto the sands, Twilight threw his head back in a solaced whinny to the starry heavens above. The sunset had long dipped past the ocean horizon, the golden hues fading into navy and black....the very same moment in time he was named for. He enjoyed this time of the eve, where most would be laying down to rest after a day's adventure, the stallion found himself more awake than ever.
Twirling his rather large body around, the tips of his tail dragged along the surface of the water rather blending nicely with his turquoise tipped ivory locks. He could thank his father, Kale, for such a mane colour, although his mother gave him his blue features. Too bad he was too afraid to venture back to them after so long...it was obvious in his mind that they either forgot about him, or were to livid that going back wouled cause some sort of fight.
He wasn't ready for either at the moment.
So for the meantime, he would cling onto his nomadic lifestyle, dancing in the tide and living how one should be - free.

 Curiosity was what brought her out of the village, she had come to watch the sunset but found herself too late to see it tonight. The young mare's ears drooped and she pawed at the ground, debating return to the village when something on the shore caught her eye. A Soquili that seemed to blending into the darkening sky behind him.
Who was that?
Her ears perked and she watched him with mild interest as he danced in the waves lapping the shore.

Unaware of his new audience, Twilight seemed to gain his bravery back as his dancing drew into the seat a few strides. The ocean waves were blissful against sore travel weathered hooves. Closing his cerulean orbs as he sighed out to the ocean breeze which swept his mane around his neck and face....it was too bad he didn't notice the wave.
Definately too bad.
The rush of the high risen water crashed against his body, nearly the stallion over yet Twilight had snapped back into reality to catch himself and swiftly make his way to shore. Coughing lightly as his once flowing and magnificent locks of hair stuck to his body like a drowned.....well, a drowned - hairy thing.
Yet to make the situtation ever so better, his eyes spotted a mare just up the beach a bit.
Oh crap.
Stiffening as he'd had no feminin contact asides from his sister as a colt himself, he tried to make himself look more defined and proud...despite his obvious pathetic state.
"H....Hello there..." He managed to smile sheepishlhy, oh yes. Karma was a cruel mistress.

Leilani started to run over when she saw the Soquili get knocked over by a wave, only slowing when she saw him come out of the water again. "Hello! Are you alright?!" Her tail flicked absently as she called to him. Once she was close enough she got a better look at him. He really did look like the night sky.

Getting a good look at the mare, Twilight quite liked the feathers which graced her locks....once which their white strangely reminded him of his sister's. Yet she was ebony like he, and not a pleasant shade of brown like this girl was.
"Oh yes....I'm alright. My pride could be a bit better though, you know?"
Chuckling softly to relieve a bit of the tensiona and nervousness he was feeling swelling inside, he gave a dip of his head in greeting.
"My name is Twilight....and i'm usually not that...clumsy!"
He would have continued, yet those feathers were too interesting to try and ignore in the sake of being polite. They looked like they were attached to her very ear! Leanding a bit closer as he sniffed at the sky coloured feathers, his head cocked to the side slightly.
"What're those? They look like they're attached!"

"Name's Leilani." She whinied, relieved to see he was alright. It took her a moment to notice he staring at her, or rather something on her. The feathers on her ear to be more precise. "They are attatched. Papa's two legger put 'em on me...I like 'em."
She tossed her head, sending her long locks up into the air a bit which made the feathers jangle. "I have some on my tail too!" The young mare turned so he would be able to see the matching feathers on her rump at the base of her tail. "Papa says they look pretty on me."

"Leilani....well its a pleasure to meet you!"
Smiling softly, he gave a bit of a strange look when she mentioned that a two legger had done that to her. Was this some kind of ritual between the Soquili and the two legged? Father and his sister lived with one...yet Twilight was too budy saving the world to stay home and get to know her.
"Did it hurt..?"
Twilight wasn't exactly keen in the idea of something like that stuck through his ear....yet it was a nice touch - as well as the ones on her tail. "They are quite pretty!" He complimented in a sincere mannor, craning his neck to try and catch a glimpse at the dream catcher hanging around his neck....he'd had it for as long as he could remember. Even more impressive, it almost seemed to be a bit of a good luck charm in his humble opinion.
"All I have is this....Dunno exactly what it is...but i've grown fond it it!"

"A little..but not for long." Leilani bent her head down to look at the dreamcatcher around his neck. "Pretty. I have one of those too, like my Momma does...I think Cricket does too. Can't remember though." It didn't even dawn on her that he wouldn't know who Cricket was. "Do you always play in the water like that?"

"Strange.."
Twilight trailed off, but seemed to leave it at that. It was true, he had no clue whom Cricket was, although he was curious to if he should know? Flicking his tail, his hoof scratched at the sand lightly as the water quickly pooled up inside.
"They're weird....a bit irritating when running I found. Its kind of funny how they're all so different from one another."
Her catcher seemed to match her feathers as well as with seperate feathes to match her own pelt. His own seemed to look more like his hair than his body....assuming that if it was black it would blend perfectly with his ebony body. Perhaps the two legged knew what they were doing afterall?
"No no.....I had seen a dance from a soquili herd in the desert a while ago....I was trying to mimic it....yet mine didn't look half as good I imagine." Laughing sheepishly, Twilight knew next time he would pay a wee bit more attention to his surroundings before dancing like that.

"Looked neat before you fell over....you've been to the desert?" Her eyes widened a little and she seemed almost like a small child ready to bounce up and down while waiting for a suprise. "What's it like?" She had always been curious about other places but had never had the chance to go anywhere.

"Ahhh, your words are too kind.."
Twilight beamed a bit under the kind compliment, true, he probably didn't do any justice to the dance....yet oh well. At least he tried. Looking midly amused at her child like behaviour, he felt a bit relieved since he too felt at times as giddy as a colt. He'd never had a lot of contact with other soquili as a colt, and just now was he seeing the world of his own kind in a new light.
And he liked it.
"The desert? Its amazing! Although really, really hot. There's beautiful golden sand as far as the eye can see, occasionally you'll find the most spectacular desert oasis...the water never tasted so crisp and clean there. Sandstorms aren't much fun, and are quite dangerous....I wouldn't go there if you're not one to face the harsh elements."
Oh yes....he'd been spitting sand for a week after that night.
"Do you live around here? Or have you done some exploring too?

"I live in the village...but I wander around when I can. Haven't been far though unfortunately. I want to see more places...it's hard being cooped up." Leilani frowned; Twilight seemed to have a lot of adventures and she wanted to have her own too!

Did Twilight? He wasn't so sure anymore. Although it seemed he would find out sooner or later.
"When you do plan to travel around....there are lots of places to explore. The mountians are beautiful....probably one of my favorite places."

"Your papa?" Twilight echoed, this was probably the first Soquili he'd know to mention anything about their family. "Is he in charge of your village?" It was true, the dark stallion knew little about villages and people, only thanks to he'd never actually met a two legger before. He'd heard stories; both good and bad and wasn't sure if he wanted to meet one at all.
"I'm sure that you're more than capable, Leilani, just make sure to avoid Kalona's and Skinwalkers!" He chuckled
