Summary:
It is now two years after the Great Race. Eva's seventeenth birthday just passed, and she is now eager to finish school. Her father, Don Wei, just bought her a car and she doesn't even need to learn how to drive it. But that isn't all that is changing for the young adult.
Eva has to become Molly again when a war breaks out between a newly discovered planet and Earth. Molly Kivers is her new name, and she is going to be a pilot in the War Race - a race the new planet's species holds to figure out who strikes first. It is very rare for the enemy planet to win - which is why the President has chosen Eva, or Molly as he knows her.
Molly gladly accepts, but she is feeling a new presence about her. The young man that is helping her create the guns on her new racer looks oddly familiar, and he seems to have a glow about him. And not to mention her new gunner, Soru Miki, isn't flirting and hitting on her non-stop. But the troubles don't stop there.
There are two new teens in town - Missy and Charlie - both from America. They seem to have a different view on life, and it doesn't mean that Molly is going to change hers. In fact, she doesn't even know why they are choosing to pick on her when she is the one that is going to be saving the human race! But just what is Missy trying to do? She is always asking Soru about mechanics of guns. Could she be an alien in disguise? Or worse, could she be sabotaging the racer for no apparent reason except pure jealousy?
