Sorrowful Tears
You Cried, Standing In The Rain Alone. As Raindrops Falling Down Your Cheek, Unable To Identify The Sorrow Within. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So Dark The Con Of A Man. As His Heart, Clouded With Pride And Coldness. Shootings Flames Inside You, Feeling That The Wrath Engulfed You. And You Bear The Pain In Silence, Unable To Reach Inside,Your Soul... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You Said, "We Were Meant To Be Whole Long Ago." For Every Second You Waited And Wandered In Hope, Holding A Map With Nothing On It But A Single Phrase:"Loving You." Watching The Light Fade Away,Denying... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now I Can See A Maiden, Whose Eyes, As A Piece Of Shattered Glass, Lost And Broken, Almost Unable...To Feel The Heart Beat Inside Her. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Everytime She Showed Up In The Place With Sorrowful Tears, There Was No One Who Ever Came Up With Their Shares. Then The Man Appeared, As An Illusion Infront Of Her. Beside Him Was A Lady, Whose Sparkling Eyes Shone Like Crystal. As The Maiden Cried Out His Name, Scream Out"Why Can't We Be The Same?" He Turned Back Without A Word, But With A Lady Lay In His Arms. Gone Away... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Everyday I Prayed For Wings, Wishing God'll Purify His Sins. Thy Guardian Angel's Asleep, Though He Doth No Vigil Keep. But From Far Or Near, Raindrops Fall Down To Hide Thy Tear. Then You Tore A Lotus Petal, Watching It Flows Away... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You Cried, But Only To Conquer Your Hidden Fears. Roaming Beside The River Alone, The Blossoms Were Flying... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
One Of ...[night].[rain]...'s proud work, done in 30 minutes. It's So Sad... heart hope you'll like it!!

Only one entry per person. I would suggest something a bit shorter. Try aiming maybe for 2 or 3 pages typed at most if possible.

I'm going to extend the contest one more week for any last minute entries so you have one last chance to get something in. And just so you know right now the number of entries are tied with the Fantasy & Science Fiction Writers guild so if you want that bonus we need a few new entrants. biggrin

In the meantime how about checking out these submissions from the Fantasy & Science Fiction Writers Guild. exdraghunt My entry: (fee donated) To Be Alone(story of a character from my story Vice-Versa)Fire was everywhere, consuming everything. It was all Luc could see as he frantically looked around.
"Mommy!" His shrill cry rang through the burning rooms of the cottage. "Daddy!"
"Luc!" a woman burst through the door of the house."Where are you Luc?"
'Mommy, i'm here," Luc answered.
His mother ran for him when, with a loud crack, one of the ceiling beams fell on her in a shower of sparks as the ceiling began to collapse.
"No, Mommy!"
But she didn't answer, and somewhere in Luc's mind he knew she would never answer again.
Tears ran unheeded down the six-year-old's face as he waited for his mother to get back up and come for him. But she never did.
Something grabbed the back of Luc's shirt and began to drag him backwards out of the inferno that was once the main room of the cottage. Luc screamed and struggled for a moment, then gave up and let himself be dragged out of the house sobbing.
When the thing let go of him, Luc tried to run back intot he house, but a man stepped in front of him and blocked his path.
"Daddy!" Luc hugged the man's legs. "Mommy's still in there. You have to save her."
'I'm sorry Luc," His dad bent down and hugged him, "Mom's gone." He picked Luc up and placed him on the back of the immense yellow dog that had dragged him out of the house.
"I'll come for you later," He smiled and touseled Luc's hair. Audolf," He addressed the dog, "Take good care of my son while i'm gone."
Audolf nodded and took off at a gallop, heading straight for the bordering woods, luc on his back.
"No, daddy," Luc twisted around and watched his dad shift into the form of a huge wolf, then as he ran at the soldiers that had been watching thier cottage burn. His dad lept at one of the soldiers, hitting him in the chest, then audolf plunged into the thick woods and Luc saw his father no more.
It was several hours before Audolf finally stopped running. He layed down and let the sobbing Luc slide off his back. Luc hugged Audolf around the dog's thick neck and howled a shakey wolf cub howl. No matter where he was, his father would always answer. But there was no replying howl. There never would be again.
Luc sat bolt upright in bed, a cold sweat running down his face. It had been many years since he had dreamed of his past. Audolf looked at him curoiusly from his spot next to Luc's bed. Luc reassured the worried dog and layed back down.
'Then again,' he thought, 'the past never could be forgotten, could it?'

new_ninja Here's My Entry (but who do I pay the 100g to?) The roar of the crowd fills my ears as I approach the finish line, my car slicing through the wind as I step on the turbo. Another car comes up beside me, black as night. It had an evil aura about it. Sweat breaking out on my brow I try and pull ahead unsuccessfully. I try and shake of the looming fear encasing my mind. The fear of more than just loosing the great race sticks to me like leeches, sucking out my will to win. Suddenly I feel my racer’s left turbine shake. The strain on it was too much. If I shut it off now I will loose, but my life will be spared. As I reach for the switch I stop, I know what I must do. I pull my hand back and focus on the track. The finish line approaches rapidly as the strain increases the closer I get. The black racer is still next to me gliding along with ease. I grit my teeth as it bumps into me trying to knock me off the track. I step down hard on the acceleration pulling ahead just in time to win the race, but at a terrible cost. As I braked while crossing over the finish line I feel my left turbo give way and implode upon itself. My racer explodes throwing me out of it and onto the grass beside the track. I hear the cheering stop and people start to yell for the medics. I knew it was to late, my only wish was for them to cheer in my final moments, cheer that I had won. As I closed my eyes I heard only the sirens of the ambulances. I closed my eyes for one last time, I had won.
