It was cold, that time of mid-night, but Alenazsa ignored it. Her white tail flicked up and down, side to side, as she trotted along the open feild that made the plains.
She'd yet to find him, --her brother--,... where was he? Erik... The tone in her mind was... almost... irritated. It shouldn't take her so long to find her brother. Though, he was just one Stallion, and there where... many. It was all actually much harder than she had ever dreamed of. Yet, she didn't regret coming here... Not at all. She had indeed met a good amount of Soquili here... some of which, she was quite glad she met,... others... Mmmn,... we won't go there.
After a very short time of plain old, grazing, she paused, staring at the edge of the forest for a moment, which was only about eight yards away from her. She only shrugged, not sure why her attention was torn there for a moment. Pearl-hued orbs glanced up to the sky for a moment, before she half-rolled her eyes, slowly continueing around.

He made no secret of his dislike for socialising, so much so that he argued endlessly with his 'mother' when she brought up the issue. While the raccoon always desired for him to see the sights of the Kawani, he was perfectly happy to remain cooped up in his Grove. Generally, the raccoon allowed this issue to drop but today she had come up trumps in the sense that she had given him orders to locate something and bring it back.
This job couldn't be achieved by the raccoon, given the location of the berries in question, it would take her days to reach while Azumoth would only take hours. For this reason, he had agreed to leave his grove and the wastelands on the condition that he flew only at night to avoid the potential for encountering other soquili - his mother had agreed, suspiciously quick for his liking.
Having chosen to reside within the forests until nightfall, it was only now as the last of the soquili drifted to their homes that he began to approach the edge. Beyond him lay the open plains, void of any significant cover. Not that he was concerned by this, his appearance alone was enough to deter predators and very shortly he would be in the air.
...Or rather, he should have been.
Upon approaching the edge of the forest he was not impressed to discover that one soquili had chosen not to return to their home. He was rather unsurprised it was a female as well - it seemed the spirits rather enjoyed thrusting them into his company more often than not but given this was not his territory he had no choice other than to accept her existence.
That being said, he was not against remaining hidden. So his 'chore' would take a little longer than anticipated but he was not going to allow himself to be seen and thus, he remained hidden in the shadows.
...Unfortunately, he didn't seem to account for the orb within his chest that seemed to glow and act like a torch in the dark - it really didn't help with the 'stealth' image he was trying to pull off.

Her ear flicked. It was the slightest sound that she caught, though she wasn't even sure exactly what it was at first. A falling twig for all she knew.
Alenazsa's gaze slowly started to wander back over to the forest's border, first time around, completely missing the bright, light-teal glowing orb. Then it dawned on her. White orbs quickly shot back to the sphere, and she eyed it for a moment, standing quite still in her place. She narrowed her eyes a tad, taking the shortest moment to shake her head, trying to move her white bangs from her left eye, but, with little justice.
She looked back to the orb, slowly begining to look around it. Trailing her gaze up, she caught the faintest glow of golden eyes. Her ears pinned back. If it weren't for the moon, reflecting off the other's gaze, she probably would have sat there, not knowing at all what it was, with the orb.
From the eyes, Alena was able to pick out some other parts of the other's body. The clothing. It was a Stallion... though she had guessed that quite a while before hand.
She kept still, and quiet. His features didn't bother her,... she'd seen different,... darker, stranger.

A slow blink, the slightest of movements and he was aware of her gaze. She had taken while to spot him but her double take had been obvious and it was with a soft curse that he shook out the stiffness in his neck. Apparently, the shadows had done well to hide his horns and wings from view, the layers of cloth and the shadows provided by them offering suitable cover.
...But now?
He wouldn't be intimidated now that he had been sighted. He had given the mare enough time to slip away and to avoid him accordingly but she had chosen instead to remain where she was. Perhaps she was mesmerised by the orb, the only portion of him that seemed to flicker with 'life' at this dead hour or perhaps it was more along the lines of the rabbit in the head lights.
Ah, if only he had been a predator, she would have made rather easy prey. At the back of his mind, rebelling against his disciplined self there was a tiny urge to just try. That darker and questionable side had been suppressed for far longer than was healthy. In the solitude of the wastelands he had been perfectly able to allow the predatorial nature out to explore, those who dared trespass (especially stallions) met a rather unwelcome fate but recently things hadn't gone quite so well.
He had been forced to silence the blood within him for one simple fact - he was one of honour and he would not strike anything vulnerable down. Given that all his visitors had been lost or injured, he had no other choice other that to provide them with the aid they so desperately sought.
Alas, no one knew him down here, now did they?
The small smirk crept onto his lips as he considered the alternatives. Here he was, in the middle of empty lands with only one sole witness. He didn't intend to openly hurt her but it would be nice to find that release again - especially in the dark where he could barely see the expression of disgust that would riddle her features upon sight of his complete form.
"So unwise, for a mare to be out so late at night." His tone was dark, sultry and yet somewhat musical as he began to slip into view. Slow and calculated, his cloven hooves scarcely disturbed the grass. It was strange to be in a land where such things thrived, he had been stunned by how green the strands were when he had first arrived.
"Not always a welcome sight, I might add." He continued, his wings flipping backwards, twisting up and then finally unfurling due to the complex nature in which they had been folded at his sides. He would be the first to admit the rush of relief as the blood flowed more freely through his limbs and the tingling began to disappear - he'd had them against his sides too long.

"I'm quite fine on my own, thanks. Time of day means little."
As he came into view, she looked him over. His features were... odd. That's all she thought. One's apperence ment oh-so-little to Alenazsa,... most of the time. She still couldn't stop herself from grinning when thinking of the rainbow-sparkled Stallion she'd met not to long ago.
She stood strong and still, though not too still. That'd make her look scared. And,.. she wasn't.
"Even if you do see different sorts of Soquili at night than you do durring the day. And yet, I have fallen to prefure the darker ones." Her own tone was calm, yet, still dark, secretive. But very smooth. Alenazsa blinked once, as her bangs started to bug her left eye. She shook her head again, and her bangs moved aside, for the moment.

[[ Sorry, I have a habit of long posts n_n; ]]
Ah, another 'smart' one. His expression darkened considerably at her foolish behaviour in his wake and with a decidedly unimpressed snort he flicked his whip like tail against his flank. Evidently, the mares of the Kawani land may have been pretty little beasts but they lacked in a great deal of intelligence - along on a dark night, pretty little beast meets a mutant and she...
Does nothing.
Idiots, all of them. He had met enough of them to serve him a life time and they had all come in a string one after the other. Whether they be in his lands or open lands, the Kawani were teaming with them and they always managed to get in his way. They were simply lucky that he was so highly disciplined or he would have already dragged them into thickets to serve his own needs...needs that weren't necessarily what was automatically assumed.
"Another little girl who deems herself a saviour," He mused at last, shaking his head slowly, "Pitiful." He continued, his tone decidedly unimpressed by the mare before him. He was fairly certain that if she continued to seek out 'dark' soquili, she would find herself in complete and utter agony.

"Saviour? Of, What, might I ask?"
Alenazsa swallowed, standing quite still. She looked him over again. She couldn't let herself be scared,... she couldn't. And yet, a chill ran up her spine. Sure, at first, she was fine... but things had started to sink in... This Stallion... being as obvious as possible... Wasn't any ordinary Soquili. But, that was quite obvious.
She swallowed another lump in her throat. Just.. stay,.. calm,.. Alenazsa,... Of course, her body didn't like listening to her mind at the moment. Her hooves stayed planted on the ground, spread a tad.

"Of those who do not need you to show us our paths," Raising a brow, the stallion glanced over his shoulder and released a chuckle. His eyes glinted somewhat and his nostrils flared as he at last caught that faint scent of fear. Now that was more like it, the faint scent...that hint of uncertainty that allowed this particular stallion to gain so much power. This caused to reactions within him, while he was frightened he also felt the thrill and the rush of adrenaline that all Kalona's must experience.
Ah yes, he could understand why Kalona's liked that little piece of their heritage, it was a pleasant experience. Nevertheless, the sheer power caused him to quiver just a little and for the briefest of instances he was overwhelmed by rather questionable thoughts.
No.
"Prefer the darker ones, I knew the Kawani were idiots but dancing with death is quite another matter entirely."

She glared a bit. "I am not one to dance with the Kalona, for your information. I say Dark, meaning those with the more reserved Soquili, tht prefure night over day. Is that truely, dancing with Death?" She quirked a brow. A chill ran up her spine once more.
I don't like this male at all... Alenazsa thought. At first, she was ready to accept him,... almost hoping ihe wasn't quite as dark and mean as he looked... but it seemed her chances on that were quite slim. He seemed to be the very oposite of what she'd hoped.
[Sorry tis so short... brain dead xD;]

"KALONA!" The orb in the stallion's chest gave a violent pulse in reference to the leather winged beasts which he so closely resembled. It was one of the very reasons he loathed his own appearance, craved to be as those of the wind were - feathered and respected as opposed to deemed evil and undesirable. Over he years, the constant reference to what he appeared to be had left a rather deep scar in his mind to the point that the mere mention made his blood boil.
He was no Kalona!
"I am no, Kalona!" Pulling himself to his full height, he unfurled his wings and gave them a rather brutal thrust. Unsettling the grass beneath his hooves he stalked closer towards the mare and bore his fangs in disdain.
"I may have leathered wings but I assure you I am far from what those things may be - to refer to me as something so ill bred is an affront!" He snarled darkly.

Alenazsa took a good few steps back, a slight chill running up, then back down her spine. "I never said you where,... I wasn't talking about you yourself. I am talking to you after-all... so obviously,...you're not a Kalona."
Oh please let him listen...
At this point? She wasn't exactly sure if she wanted to loose a limb, by angering a Stallion by pure,... mistake, if that's what you'd call it.
She couldn't help but to take another short step backwards. Her tail flicked up a bit behind her nervously, and she shuffled around slightly on her fore-hooves. What the hell could she say, to make this situation better, and cool this one down?
Nothing else, at the moment.

Oh he was a grumpy so-and-so! While in the company of others he was always so defensive and much less inclined to listen. To think before he spoke was not something that interested him around those who saw him as 'inferior' (or so he believed). What was of most importance was for him to be completely safe and secure - if he needed to belittle those of greater social standing then he would.
It seemed that given the task presented to him and his current circumstances, Mari had encountered the mutant when he was at his least sociable. Rather unfortunate.
"And pray-tell, how would you guarantee you even had a choice on whether or not you wished the company of Kalona?" He enquired, although his tone was beginning to soften slightly. Now it seemed to be more of a jeer, intended only to impact on her belief that she would be able to decide who she spoke to and when...at all times.
