My friend pasted me a link to some one making a comment about how "Slamming your shield into a shield wall to break the formation just can't happen in a boffer" to this I say: Are you a freaking idiot? Shield-bashing is one of the single greatest pleasures in my life >(
At Ragnarok XXI Physic, Orso, V-Hil, and I went tearing down the hillside and slammed everyone in our path out of the way. Orso even scored two points (our own little game within the sport) for laying out Dominus and making him blow his top, not that that's uncommon, friggin' Romans.
Now, I realise the post was made October 11, 2006 but I don't care, from what I saw No One correct that person. To me, that was unforgiveable and was going to bother me until something was said. So I said it.

It only works if you have the upper body strength to pull it off. Most of the tiny little kids don't and are overwhelmed if they try. That's where comments like that come from I suppose.
I <3 being shield bashed. I'm a small person so I always go flying at least a few feet.
What I hate is idiots who facilitate drama off field. Tempers may blaze on the field, but normally it's forgotten by the evening or remembered, but never really mentioned. The off field drama is the worst. I LOATHE it and the people who seek to spread their tendrils of hate into other people's minds....GRAHHHH!!!

Hell, That's how I met my knight! I pissed off one of his (now mine) Company bros for Amtgard. He challenged me to a duel with only one rule, no head shots. Everything else was ok. Now, my knight and I are both 6 feet tall. He weighs 153 pounds and I weigh 210 pounds, i'm a mountain of muscle. My first move is to shield bash him and once he's on the ground after a quick flight I stab him in the kidney. And that's how I won the respect of an entire company and became their newest member.

I've never been in a game which allowed shield bashing. With insurance issues what they are in the NE that has to much potential for injury. Now if bashing were legal I might pick up a shield. Which game has this??
