HOW-TO-JOIN/RULES/FAQ
All right, as you can tell from the title... this thread basically contains, well, instructions on how to join, rules, frequently asked questions... and banners! I'll try to be as clear as possible... if for some reason you do not understand something... use your brain for a few minutes, and if that fails, post a question (IN THIS THREAD! I DON'T WANT 5 BILLION THREADS OF "HOW DO I...?" OR "WHAT IF...?" OR "WHY...?"!)

HOW TO JOIN
So you're wondering how to join the guild? Well, no matter what you think, it's not as easy as type and click. There are a few things you'll need to do in order to be accepted...
First of all, make sure you have the time to stick with the guild. We don't take slackers who only post once or twice a year. If you start to disappear, prepare to be booted.
Second of all, make sure you PM your complete character description to me after you apply. Your complete character description is a detailed description of your character, the best way to write one is to answer the four questions below. Your replies determine how your profile will look, so think before you type.
1. How do you visualize your character to look like? If he/she looks significantly different than your Gaia avatar, please list how he/she looks in detail. Include the colors of your character's hair, eyes and skin, as well as descriptions of your character's haircut, visible scars/tattoos/markings and body build (thin, lithe, muscular, lanky, tall, short, stout, fat, ect.)
2. What does your character usually wear? If the ensemble differs from what your Gaia avatar is usually wearing, please include a detailed description of the clothing/earrings/other trinkets that your character wears. Please specify colors and styles of the clothing and other decorations, or I will have little to work with in drawing your character.
3. If your god/goddess has a weapon, please describe it (once again, including color). If you have multiple weapons, please only choose one or two.
4. If your character has any facial expressions or poses that are "trademarked" of the character, please describe. Also, what is your character's general disposition? (Impish, cheerful, angry, brooding, sulky, vengeful, sad, ect.)
Lastly, make sure you've read all the rules and are prepared to follow them. Okay, so that's a really stupid step, seeing as everyone should think of that on their own... but I needed a nice three steps... and I suppose a reminder to any really stupid people.

RULES
This is simple. You've had rules to follow since you could comprehend the term. You've had rules in kindergarten. You've had rules in high school. Some of you've had rules at work. It's a simple concept. Now, without further ado, the rules of this guild...
<> NO SPAM (I mean it!)
<> NO BUMPING IN STICKIES (You should already know that...)
<> NO Overly Vulgar or Harsh Language (DON'T MENTALLY SCAR ANYONE)
<> NO Real-Life Threatening or Otherwise Harassing Other Members
<> NO DISAPPEARING (Post... or die!)
<> Remember that you WON'T get your Guild Profile until you have been active in the guild for a MONTH

FAQFrequently-Asked-Questions... a nice handy section for any guild, website, computer program or appliance handbook. Seeing as this guild is new to the GGN, and seeing as no one's really asked me any questions before... most of these are general questions and answers. Perhaps one day, true frequently-asked-questions shall take root in this guild... alas, perhaps we shall never know...1. How do I join the Overlooked Gods and Goddesses Guild?
You... consult the "How to Join" section of this thread, of course... um... isn't that obvious?2. I heard I'm supposed to send my "complete character description", what's that?
Your complete character description can basically be summed up as your character's appearance. There is a list of questions to answer concerning your character under the "How to Join Area" of this thread.3. What is a guild profile?
Your "Guild Profile" is... your guild profile. It's a picture of your character with your character and "God/Goddess of..." denotation on it.4. When will my guild profile be ready?
Patience! By the Gods! Patience! You have to be a member for about a month before I even start on your profile, and then it takes a while for me to draw and color them! Contrary to popular belief... I HAVE A LIFE!5. Why do I have to wait a month before I can get my guild profile?
You have to be a member for a month because I have to make sure you're going to post and stick with the guild. Beware, if you stop posting after than month, though... There will be consequences.6. How do I put a picture in my signature?
In your signature text box, you type [IMG]http://urlofyourpicturehere.com[/IMG] 7. How do I put a link in my signature?
In your signature text box, you type [URL=http://urlofyourlinkhere.com]TextToBecomeALink[/URL] 8. How do I put a picture with a link in my signature?

Any upcoming events will be posted on the home page under the "UPDATES" heading, should be in my guild journal, and will probably be talked about in the other threads. Until the multiple-PM feature comes out, it is unlikely that each member will be PMed about an event.
