yeah so i guess this thread will be really lonely without all your pretty poetry to keep it shining even if your poems are dark
it doesnt matter
nobody here criticize eachother, ok? unless they ask for it, of course. this is a place of freedom where you can express yourself without the consequences. k?
also, favorite poems can be put here too, as well as favorite songs, just make sure that you say who wrote it
because without that, my dear fellow-guild people, it is called 'plaguerism' ((the really butchered word)) and it is frowned upon in most societies

summer with it's memories of long ago when i was a child not all alone when i could see everyone i knew when i could be somewhere with you
Fall with it's solemn change held us together but still so strange held us through in it's yearning spirit held us through with beauty in it
winter with it's howling warning to all made us realize that we were small made us know that we were here made us know and made us near
spring with it's joyful song let us smile though not for long let us dance in a meadow of love let us dance in a good-hearted grudge
we never said that we were evergreen we never thought that we were unchanging we never focused on anything for long we never had to. but times changed and so did we there is no happy ending but i'd like to think there will be one day.

That was great!! I had this thing where I made a poem for each season and now I'm starting on the months of the year.
Ah, September The time when autumn is revived Report cards come out And I’m glad I survived
September, September, How to quote thee? Not as hot as August Not as cool as October All we need now is a cup of tea
The leaves are starting to brown The wind is starting to blow, There a festival in a neighboring town It’s all about a certain commodity you know
How I want it to be December… Or lovely October… I think I can skip November… But, alas, we are still in September.

there was a love once lost that nobody could believe there was a man who deep inside he died for he found no relief there was a woman who didnt know why she didnt cry but so it goes and you're the only one who knows
there was a boat lost at sea where the anchors of security snapped there was a daze throught the gaze of the lost, their strength was sapped there was a hope that died in stride for wallowing in greif and so i stare at you in disbelief
this is the sea of heartbreak, and you sent me out to sea the storms rage everyday and everyway that i can perceive but i will give this heart to you and it is yours to take i will give my heart to you, this heart is yours to break

I have not died, I live and thrive in this body This shell, this costume, this masque, this hide I live on, and the proof is this letter. I was asleep A deep, deep slumber What awoke me, that secret I keep But I yawn and stretch my numb arms A sip of life is what I need Life contained in my words I wish to drink them up, I wish to feed Asleep, I dreamt of thought Little fairies and imps played together in my dream, I watched them, I was amazed, I was delighted, I was caught Falling into a black abyss I thought I would never return to my dream Only to be awakened softly by a kiss The kiss of inspiration
The poet is awake, at last.

alright, I know my poems aren't great, but I haven't tried much. I know they don't flow... I'm all for criticism, so if you guys have anything to say, go for it!
The vernal time of year, when pristine Winter snow gives way to the encouraging warmth of day. It collects in dips in the ground as dropplets of nourishment wet and round. Wildlife gather to quench their thirst with the burly bear going first. Next a flock of spirited swallows, soon after a dear follows. That one must be the mom, for frolicking behind is a fawn. All this I see at dawn, the vernal time of year.

I kiss the cheek of a dragonfly I twirl in the arms of a desert I glide to the hand of peaks I fall to the feet of a leaf Only in my dreams You dive for the fingers of smoke You hug the body of mist You walk toward the lips of the wind You shield the eyes of a sandstorm Only in your dreams Pluck the song of lava Watch the dance of sparks Hold the hiss of haze Spin the smile of fire All in a dream
Once upon a dream

MeakoLadyMist I like that one. I don't know how to give critisism though...sorry. well, most people are quick to give their opinions. It doesn't have to be technical or anything. If there's a certain word you think doesn't fit, a line you think should be changed, or just on a hunch something doesn't seem right. Be as picky or abstract as you want. and You're poems are good too biggrin
