((This RP is for anyone who wants to join! Just jump in whenever you feel like 3nodding )) Kohana strolled down the sunny beach. She was wandering over to a patch of large fruit trees to ease the noise in her stomach. The trees were stocked of plump, ripe fruits that easily popped off the branches. The only trouble lay in deciding which fruits to eat!
Tiny crabs scuttled their way along the waters edge while fish flopped happily out of the water. The morning sun warmed her wings as Kohana set in the sand eating her fill, wondering what today would bring.

Minerva trodded along the sandy beach as a way to spend time. Her claws dug into the sand and scooped it up after she took a step. It was fun watching it fan out behind her as it landed making irregular bumps on the surface. Her dark red hues scanned the horizon and noticed something oddly colored to be located on the beach. It almost looked like a fruit but it moved.
The female took no heed in taking precautions when coming up to this oddity but instead complained inside about the heat. Heat was attracted to her due to her dark hues on her coat. She could be easily seen from a mile on this beach due to the way she stuck out. Her pinions lay neatly tucked close to her body as her tail dragged along in the warm sand, her feathers picking up particles of the small rocks.
That was when she spotted the nice peice of shade near the brightly colored creature. Upon getting closer, the dark female could tell that the creature was indeed one of her own kind but differently colored. She decided it would be best if she collected her food after greeting the other. It was only polite.
"Hello there," the female called out softly. "Nice weather we have today."
Minerva had no intention of scaring off the other and used her soft tone which was perhaps a rare tone to hear. A slow smile like expression made it's way upon the dark female's expression as she made to greet her amiably.

As Kohana lay basking in the sun, her body felt a strange presense powerful enough to draw her attention from the lush fruit. Far off in the distance, Kohana spotted what she presumed to be a Senrei like herself wondering about; deciding a menu for today's breakfast. However, the distance and a radiating glare distorted her vision. One thing was certain, though, the creature was advancing in Kohana's direction. She would know for sure what it was soon.
Senrei were among the only large animals on the island, so Kohana's guess was confirmed when she was finally able to clearly make out the other Senrei. The other female was a violent red engulfed by a deep black. The poor thing! Kohana thought, She must be frying! Just as suspected, the Senrei choose a cool, shady spot next to Kohana.
"Yes! Extremely nice! Today has many possibilities." Kohana answered calmly. The day was beginning nicely; she'd felt refreshed when she woke, found some of her favorite fruit to eat, and had met someone new.

The female found a cool relief upon entering the shade and made her place near the other senrei. Her dark red hues scanned the area and noticed a tree nearby full of fruit but she would get some later. It would be nice to have a nice conversation first before eating. Minerva tended to eat in silence so it would be best if she talked first. As the darker colored female sat down, she began to talk.
"The sun's a bit rough but the water's there to help cool off it's warm beams. Today does seem special, I get to meet you so it's going to be a fairly good day. I'm Minerva by the way," the darker senrei replied in a more joyful tone than her previous one.
The shade proved to be nice and as a reaction, Minerva opened her pinions ever so slightly so as not to cause the other to jump. The cool air rushed between her wing feathers. It was nice to be under the shade after being in the sun where her coat attracted all the heat the sun could give.

Kohana finished off what plump fruit she had been eating. After all, you weren't suppose to talk with a full mouth. Something about the other Senrei, perhaps her presense, seemed welcoming to Kohana. Even after just meeting, she felt no pressure in her movements or words. "Oh Minerva is it? It has a certain flow to it. My name is Kohana." Kohana replied. "Ah, I'm sure today would be scourching if not for the softness of the water!"
Kohana couldn't help but stare as Minerva's wings rusled in the wind. They were such a striking contrast to her own. Not to mention that red happened to be one of her more favorite colors; perhaps that was because she really had none of it on herself.
