26th is the street that runs north/south above the sewer line that stretches from Camp Narache to the Undercity. On it is the Infoshop, and The Very Questionable Joint. This street and the surrounding neighborhood are a big part of the west end slums. The west end slums are less violent then some other areas of town. Although it is just about the poorest neighborhood seeing as the nicest looking place on the street is infact the very questionable joint.

Gabriel came up from one of the many entrances to the sewer onto 26th. He looked around a bit and pulled his coat closer around him. After a brisk walk, he stopped outside of 'The Infoshop' and looked up at the weathered sign. He strode in without much more adieu.

Ama woke slowly, her nimble fingers running over her eyes and quickly clearing the sleep away. After a shower, she quickly dressed and snuck a snack from the kitchen before sneaking out the back doors.
With each step she took a loud click of heavily booted feet sounded through the crisp night air, her hands running through her long hair and a smile on her lips. Curfew would be coming soon and she would most likely be returned home before she would find anything interesting, yet bearing this in mind she continued to walk, her feet carrying her to the small playground down the street; one of the last places there were no patrols.

With a small giggle she found her way to the swing-set, her pale form lit by a single streetlight in the middle of the park. Her silhouette swayed back and forth as she began to go higher and higher on the swings, her laughter echoing through the park louder and louder, washing through the streets as pure joy filled her normally sad blue eyes. After a half hour or so she jumped from the swings and landed in the gravel, her pants tearing at the knees and making her giggle even more.
Slowly she walked out of the park and back along 26th street, her eyes scanning everything as she walked, not really wanting to go home just yet if she could avoid it. After a few minutes of walking she found herself standing outside of the “Very questionable joint” Her eyes looking to the promising pool tables and people inside.

Gabriel emerged from the infoshop onto twentysixth, and looked at Jester and Bobby. He walked casually over, and leaned up against the wall next to Ed. "What was that all about? Talk about confusin' poetry."

Edd continued walking and puffing away at the cigarette.

Gabriel had a look of abject confusion tatooed on his face. "G-Gregs? I'd be hard pressed to tell you where that is."He pulled out his wallet, and noticed the crisp five dollar bill inside. That was his budget for the week, and he didn't want to blow it on a shitty meal. But, the Jester kid and this loon, Ed, were interesting characters, and they might end up being customers in the 'Undercity'. "But, hell, I'm game. Where to?" He pulled out a pack of clove cigarettes, and flicked back the lid. He proceeded to pull out one of the all black sticks with his teeth, and lit it with a hematite Zippo from within his suit jacket. He put the two objects back with one deft motions. He beckoned to the street. "Shall we?"

"'S the best sandwich you'll get 'n this town."
Edd continued walking, maybe for five minutes, until Greg's was reached.

Gabriel followed after the enigmatic stranger. He laughed when he thought of that. He like the ring of it.When they stopped outside the building, he looked up at it, and shook his head. He stepped up to the door and beckoned, while grasping the handle. "Enigmatic strangers first."

Jester had been so preoccupied looking for, and then lighting, a cigarette of his own that he hadn't noticed the other man step out of the the infoshop nor did he take notice when the two left him behind. By the time he put his lighter away and looked around they were at least a hundred yards ahead of him. "..c**k mongers..." he muttered wryly and then began making his way to gregs at a leasurely pace.

Chance was perched for the moment along the thin edging of the flower beds outside the police station, the leash in his hands looking all the more awkward at night when there was nothing attached to the end of it. With a soft growl he heard the double doors behind him click, the rather small and attractive figure of his ‘sister’ now bounding down the steps. “Why am I the one that always has to come and fetch you?” He growled lightly as she twirled into his waiting arms, a small clicking sound echoing through the streets as he fashioned her back to her leash, and the two began walking down the streets.

“It’s because you let me wander away Big Brother… Because some men can’t keep there mouths shut…”
She purred quietly, her voice sending a notable shiver down Chance’s spine.
“And besides, I know you missed me and love it when you come to get me.” Her thickly painted eyes fluttered lightly as she trotted along at his side, kicking small rocks away from them with her heavy steel plated boots. Her hands swayed lightly at her sides for a moment before moving to her collar, her fingertips toying with the clasp of the leash and a devious smile on her lips.
“I am tired of playing this game… What if I were to drag you into some dark lit alleyway? I have handcuffs now... I mean for being a police station the security inside is pretty lacking...”
She asked lightly, her eyes sparkling with a certain lustful intent.

“You know what mother would say if she were to find out…” He sighed as he stopped, pulling on the leash and shortening the distance between the two of them as he led her down 26th street and infront of the questionable joint. “However with the aid of a good bottle of wine I’m sure she would overlook anything… Unless you are still behaving this much unlike yourself by the time we get back...”

“I don’t want to go back home… I am hungry and I don’t want to listen to ‘mom’ snore all night...”
Crystal’s hands easily found those of her ‘Brothers’ and a small but begging smile began to shine from her features.
“Could we go to Greg’s? The food there is really good and would fill the both of us up for a relatively cheap…”
With a small smile she began to swing their hands back and forth, her eyes closing in delight before looking to Chance with a wink. They would walk like this when it was dark out, when the dull buzzing of burning streetlights flooded through the city and into the night’s air. Pollution making the horizon colorful and full of seeming wonders for the girl’s eyes.

“I don’t think they are open, but we could walk by and see…” Chance smiled faintly, his eyes glazing over for a moment with the enjoyment of his hand in hers. It had been a long time since he and crystal had been alone. Slowly the progressed down the street, every now and then a soft kiss planted to the back of the girls hand, his baby blue orbs tinting with a shade of green. The lights were still on at Greg’s and he figured that since there seemed to be only two people inside the shop at the moment, it was a safe assumption that the store would be closing soon. He looked down upon the girl at his side and slowly reached for the handle wanting to see her smile one more time before leaving for home.

Jester smiled as he pulled out of the alley, this guy wasn't nearly as bad as the normal undercity scum. He sped down 26th with no traffic to block his way, and he kept right at the speed limit so that the police and the clerics would have no reason to stop them, though they rarely relied on reason to do much of anything. He pulled into the alley next to the infoshop, and looked at Gabriel, "Stay here and guard the truck. If I'm not back in ten minutes, run."

Police and clerical truck sirens would be heard, not very far off. They slowed around the deli, and began fanning outward. The dreaded sound of entrapment began to swarm around Gabriel and the infoshop.

Gabriel cursed, loudly. "********! How did I know?" As the sirens closed in on the infoshop, he jumped into the driver's seat, and tossed the weapon in his hand back into the throe, after putting the safety back on. After this he pulled out several of the scalpel strapped to his chest. He pulled backwards, burning rubber, and pulled out his cell, dialing the undercity. The girl that picked up was one of Krathyx's ladyfriends, with some art grafts. "Hey, toss me to to 'Thyx." She responded postively, and gabriel dropped the phone as he made a sharp turn. He reached down and grabbed the cell, hoping Krathyx was on the line. "-ucking some girl! what do you want?" The tiny voice screamed through the device. "No time to tell you the story, but the revolutes from the infoshop are in some s**t, and we have a truck full of heat right now, so I need you to find the group with some of my normal looking folk. Speed is of the essence, because if you don't do this, I'm going to be an inferno in about..." he glanced at his arm, a digital display reading out on his flesh. "... eight minutes. goGoGO!" He saw lights behind him, and folded the phone, tossing it in the seat next to him, readying the scalpels in his hand.
