gameinformer.com MAJOR Nintendo shakeup - Harrison, Kaplan And Llewelyn all leave Nintendo of America George Harrison pictured Now that the June deadline date for Nintendo of America staff has reared its head, the fallout from Nintendo’s Sales and Marketing move has been leaked. According to our sources, approximately 90% of the Nintendo of America Sales and Marketing Staff has decided not to make the move to either San Francisco or New York, thereby taking a severance and leaving the company.
Three key executives will be leaving Nintendo of America, including Senior Director of Public Relations Beth Llewelyn; Vice President, Marking and Corporate Affairs Perrin Kaplan; and Senior Vice President, Marketing and Corporate Communications George Harrison. When these three will actually depart the company is unknown at this time, however, we’re betting on the fact that they’ll stay with Nintendo of America until the upcoming E3 show is over. Perrin Kaplan pictured Currently, this basically wipes out the majority of Nintendo of America’s key marketing executives. The only two major executives remaining at Nintendo of America include Chairman and CEO Tatsumi Kimishima and President and COO Reggie Fils-Aime. However, whether or not they will be packing a U-Haul and trekking to San Francisco or New York is unknown at this time. Game Informer Online has interviewed all three of these executives countless times in the past years, and we wish them well in their future endeavors. We have contacted our reps at Nintendo to get “official” word, and are still waiting to hear back with a statement. Beth Llewelyn pictured My jaw dropped instantly. Perrin even actually mentioned to IGN that no one was leaving, herself included.

kdsjfalkjflaasTHEWORLDISOVER.
Actually I don't care. Reggie can carry the American Nintendo all alone. Only the weak need help and he ain't weak, bub. He's Wolverine.
But one question DOES come up: if Nintendo asks you to move somewhere in order to keep your NINTENDO job...why the ******** do you not comply? 'Tards.

Wow, I wasn't expecting that, those are some serious big wigs with Nintendo, quite a shocking bit of news.
@Trenn-Well, you have to consider that they might have family their not willing to leave behind just to comply with their job.

You uproot. It happens all the time. Besides, if your family won't support the move in the name of Nintendo, I think it's time to ditch them.

Wow. That's quite something, that. I'm not sure I 100% believe it, though. Kaplan is too strong of a person at Nintendo to just up and leave under these circumstances. Perhaps something isn't accurate? It did say 90% of the team, right? That's just crazy, in my opinion.
If it is true, though. Oh dear. sweatdrop Who knows, it could be beneficial to the company.

I've only seen the first two once ever. And the third never.
I don't think it's gonna be that bad.

They're business people. Business people are a dime a dozen. No need to worry about newcomers not knowing Nintendo because Reggie can straighten that mess out.
Reggie: *kicks everyone in the face* And THAT'S Nintendo.
Or we can leave Weapon X to do his thing alone. I like that plan.

Can't be that bad. They still have Reggie. Thats more than 90%. Kicking a** and taking names.
But I'll have to agree with Trenn on this one.

yeah, I think nintendo has the marketing plan covered, we outsold everyone, reggie boot camp will be waiting for new marketer recruits, and nintendo still has it's fortune to fallback on if they hit a dry spell.

felix385 Trenn Flashkill But one question DOES come up: if Nintendo asks you to move somewhere in order to keep your NINTENDO job...why the ******** do you not comply? 'Tards. because they have lives outside of nintendo? We're not talking about play testers here dude. The priorities are slightly different. You know the kinds of sacrifices people make for their careers? Besides my point is that a lot of us would kill to say "I work for Nintendo," and these clowns are just willing to give it up because they don't want to move.

I unno...quitting cause they don't want to make the move is a very shitty reason to just leave Nintendo. No matter where it is.
you'd think they'd make enough money for what they do and who they work at that they didn't have to live in New York if they didn't feel like it (or somewhere besides the city part of new york.) or just make the commute from Seattle to San Fran...or something. There's enough technology (and uh...money in their pockets.) they they should be no reason to leave because of a simple HQ move. Utter BS.
20 bucks saying Sony fanboys are thinking this is the end of nintendo...knowing they don't know who the hell any of the 3 are and what they do.
