I am so sick of people coming up to me and telling me im going to hell!!! ninja this makes no sense to me why so many people clam the their God loves us all then go and do stuff like that. why can't people learn to open their minds and learn from on another, instead of turning their backs wlcoming discrimination? when somebody does this, i normaly play it cool and not act mad, but realy i want to slap them. who else is sick of this?

Oh yeah, I've had people discriminate against me because of what I believe. Luckily, I went to a highschool where there were a lot of different religions; mostly catholics, satanists, pagans, atheist and people who don't give a sh*t. But I don't know how my being Pagan is going to blow over in college. I'm going to have to stay in the dorms and I hope with twisted pretsel fingers, I get a dormmate that accepts that part about me and leaves me be.

Usually when someone says that to me I either tell them that I don't believe in a Hell and then I just keep talking about why I don't believe in it and so on. Or...
I tell them that I'm already there (meaning that Hell is a place on Earth).
Those usually get most people to shut up about it.

I'm not faced with it often, but yes, I am sick of it when it does occur. The sad thing is, if they truly were following their teacher, Jesus, they would not be acting this way. He would not condone it. (Yes, I believe he truly existed, but I question whether he was the son of "God" or not. Remember, he was being told that by his parents since he was young; I doubt he was lying, but perhaps he was mislead...) Their religion is suppose to be about understnading, tolerance, and compassion. If only they practiced what they preached. The best thing to do? Either explain to them calmly that Wicca and Paganism in general are not like that, and explain to them your beliefs and such, or just ignore them. It isn't easy; I should know. I have a short fuse myself. I dislike narrow-mindedness, a lot.

This happens to me too. I hate it also. Normally I just have to accept that people are stupid and that they just need to be taught some things or learn some more lessons in life. It really is not fair to anyone when they are ignorant towards not only Paganism but their own also.

It leads to a whole new level of fear and hatred. Ignorance is an ugly thing. If only they would take the time to study what they are so afraid of. If they did this, they wouldn't be so afraid, and they would better understand something they never knew before.

Rebel_Dynasty I thought humans thirsted for knowledge? neutral Not American humans... they just have a thirst for money and power. They don't care about how intelligent they actually are. (And I'm speaking about Americans in general... not all of us are like that, just most).

Not all Canadians are great about it, either.
I don't see much difference between us, really; you have nice New Yorkers, we have nice Torontonians (however rare both may be) and we have assholes a plenty as well.
But, there is good in everything, right? An entire town or city cannot be condemned for the actions of a few.
I thirst for knowledge....
Perhaps that is one of the reasons I've been such an outcast most of my life.
(I'm no A student or anything, trust me; school bored me. I thirst for knowledge of things they don't teach in schools).

I haven't been told I'm going to hell in a long time. I just laugh it off and throw fairy dust at them.

Normally, I can pretty much tell what kind of person says that crap, so I avoid talking about enything that might send them into a "holier than thou" rant.
I just like to say "If I want to go to hell, that's my business."
