Is there an item you wish you had never sold? Did you spend gold on something that seemed like a good deal only to later learn that it was a scam? Talk about it here and share your woe and rant a little if you need to.

I received a random gift, a brown suprise gift and I opened it not knowing what it was when I could have sold it for 5,000 gold and got a flower headband...at least its pretty *sigh*

When Gaia was still getting started, back in 2003, it rained gift boxes down on me. I got a hockey mask, laurals, and fox ears. I sold them all in the stores and got WAY less than I could have if I'd put them up for options. I got less than a tenth of what I surely would have earned otherwise, and I still regret selling them that way. At the time, I just didn't know any better. u..u

Too many times I'll buy an Enchanted Trunk for 2 or 3k only to end up getting something worth less than 1k. Has anyone ever gotten anything decent from one?

Well there was one thing.
I traded 20 sealed letters with this guy.
For a KiKi Kitty Plushie.

It was such a dumb mistake.
And not because I didn't like the KiKi.
But because all those letters sold, was the same as me paying double the Plushie's actual value.

20 sealed letters would be, of course, $50. I think this helps to put it in another perspective. For those of you who work for a living (especailly those of you who need to to survive) think about what percent of your weekly paycheck is that.

I can't remember if it was from an enchanted trunk but I got my nitemare boots from something like that, wich I thought was pretty nice. @Avino: that must've been horrible, I would've killed that guy! evil Actually I was scammed once, I had the norisu scarf and loved it, but stupidly I agreed to lend it to a guy for an avatar contest, of course I never had it back ;_; worst thing is that on the trade he gave me 500g, saying it was just a thanks, and since he gave me that, I can't report since it's considered as a sail or something...

But anyway, he wanted to borrow my Nitemare Scarf once.
And I did lend it to him.
Problem was, he began teasing me in Towns.
Saying he was going to sell my scarf, if I didn't return from BRBing.
Anyway, I got scared.
And he, not trusting his own self, returned the scarf to me.
He said that he would have sold it, if he didn't give it back right then.
I learned my lesson after that.
Twice now he's asked me to borrow it.
And I've not answered him back.
He's getting the hint, I think.
Always, always be careful with your stuff.
I feel so bad you were scammed by this jerk though.
I'm going to start saving on my other account.
And help you get that scarf back!

I asked an admin, and since I only had the trade and not the pms, they can't do anything, also the account he used, isn't active in a long time,so it really is a dead end... And don't worry sweetie, it was so long ago that I got used to not having it... besides the price has gone incredibly high, so just forget about it... thanks anyway =3 <3
