Well I was thinking, that I have been uber frustrated with my Kula Diamond Cosplay..
I did one sleve ok (for the Jacket), but the second sleeve I messed up on the zipper, and I've undone it and done it, and undone it again..
and it just doesn't look as good as the first sleve I made.
Have you ever had such an issue?
The same thing happen when I was practicing on making some Pickachu mittens....One came out better than the outher and I get uber frustrated...
and suddenly don't feel modivated to sew.
Gahh!
Anyhow, what's on your mind about cosplay?

And so many other cosplay crises. I chose a very difficult costume emo

Thank you! I sure hope so. I've been working on Camellia and I made my own pattern. I've never done that before. It wasn't easy gonk I still have no idea how I'm doing some parts of it (like making the skirt at the bottom and attaching the flower to my head for example), but I still have a month before I need it done for it's debut at otakon. Hopefully I'll figure it out by then.

REcently I have been thinking, about how to deal with perverts when it comes to conventions...or anywhere really.
I think it's so annoying and I just hate to see a girl or anyone get harrased for wearing a cosplay that is a bit revealing.
I think that if you can pull off wearing something like that...that is awsome!
I would love to cosplay Felicia or Lum:
But I am not brave enough to do that.

Anyhow, so I was wondering.
How does one deal with perverts.
Have you ever been in an uncomfertable position?
I went to Akon a while ago and I was Jesse from TEam rocket again...(as I didn't finish any of my other planned cosplays)
My favorite picture of our cosplay!
Anyhow, I had lost the skirt I originally wore, and I didn't realize the till the day before, so I went out to find one, but all I found was a pair of short pants. Which I still thought...my cosplay looked ok.
There was this moment at akon when some people stoped to take pictures of us and this one guy comming down the stairs starts to yell out,
"Where's the miniskirt!!" and other obseneties...and complains how my cosplay sucks cuz I wasn't wearing a miniskirt.
At that moment I was glad I didn't wear one.
I just hate that.
I just shruged my sholders and walked away.
I mean how does one deal with that?
I can only imagine how some cosplayers get harrased for reavling cosplays...or really short skirts.
I mean if you think someone looks good, then be polite and simply say something like "you look amazing" or something..
But there are a lot of guys, and older men, who just stare and droll and wistle...and grunt...and look a girl up and down.
That is soo perverted.
So does anyone else get bothered by that or am I being a prude?

I shall now say one thing for any girl out there to say when they have to deal with a pervert...

I've never really had to deal with too much of that. Of course half my cosplays have been GUYS so I guess that probably reduces the number of perverts who'd be staring xd I did get a couple of comments when I cosplayed Rose. One guy did a dog whistle at me and another yelled out "Looking damn fine there Rosie". Those were the only two though. And personally, unless someone is like coming right up into my face (or under my skirt), I just ignore them, walk away and silently to myself take it as a compliment mrgreen Of course if they wouldn't leave me alone or tried anything (like groping scream ) that would be a whole other story.
Oh and Catz, to answer your question from loooong ago, I'm going to be cosplaying at Otakon.

I'm trying to throw a costume together but now I can't decide who to be... I'd probably go for Link because I like his outfit and the hat is awesome XD
