Ok, so I just got the game, and I was wondering if anyone had come up with a starters guide.
Nothing with spoilers, just a little something that kinda gets you started.

Well, first off, get money first and ship a good variety of stuff in the beginning. Be friendly with the villagers before you pick a spouse. This will let you know if they are too picky or their voice annoys you or something before you go through all the work to marry them. Having money and shipped goods will make more potential daters move in, and makes it easier to get married, since you need a lot of stuff. Plant things like cabbages, strawberries, breadfruit, cocoa, pumpkins, and all those more expensive things in the most fertile soil - preferably at the lot near the river, where you can originally choose your house to be. Planting them in the dark, fertile soil greatly increses their value and makes them more worth their money. And finally, save every night before you go to bed (preferably around 8 or 9 pm), so if you make a mistake like forgetting to put your chickens inside, you can always reload to the night before so you can do it.
