Small feet landed with a thump from the step of the bus to the gravel ground. Mariel glanced over her shoulder at the bus driver who had been lowering the bus, and waited patiently for him to smile at her before she returned on back to him. With a flick of her tail, she took a couple steps forward, and waited once again for another event. Airaka stepped off the bus, holding each of their bags, and offered one to Mariel. The sea mink grabbed hers and strapped it over their shoulder. And now, they were ready to go!

It was one of those special hiking paths, that crawled up a hill and ended up at a scenic rest stop at the top. She brushed her grey hair from her eyes to get a better look of the area. There were lots of trees, and rocks, and trees. She cocked her head, keeping her grey hair in her hand, and gazed upward to the blue sky. There were lots of clouds. Mariel sneezed, and in her recoil, caught sight of Airaka moving back towards her. She hadn't even noticed the woman had left. Quietly, she turned to look at her guardian, with a curious look. Having just done a round trip to the information office and back, Airaka had gained a map, a couple bottles of free water, and a couple of passes, incase they got lost. Airaka smiled, and held out the pass for the hike.

It took a couple minutes, but eventually Mariel succeeded in clipping the pass to her bag. She smiled proudly at the air, then started towards the base of the hill. There were a couple different ways to go up the mountain, all took you to the same place though. Mariel paused at one entry, and looked up at Airaka. Airaka tapped a finger on her lips for a second, before looking back to Mariel and asking,
"Are we ready?"
Mariel imitated Airaka, placing a finger to her lips. She looked down to her feet, then back up to Airaka, and shrugged.

Zyanya was in a foul mood. Wearing a hankercheif on her head to keep the sun off as well short shorts and a bikini top. Her mother had forced her to put on sunscreen, even though the smell of it bothered her.

"HINDER!!" she shouted her tone showing her annoyance. "YOU BIG GREEN OAF COME OUT" she continued, pushing past shrubs and the like to get back to the main path. She was nearing the beginning of the path, where had her dragon gone to all of a sudden?

Covered in leaves and twigs, she stepped onto the clear path and sighed, her attenna twitching as she heard footsteps. Other people? Should she warn them her oversize 'puppy' of a dragon was out there somewhere? Would they be frightened of herself?

She placed her hands on her hips, trying to put on her best 'i am not a threat' face. "Excuse me!" she started as she spotted the two figures. A taller one and a little one.

Airaka had taken a couple steps forward without her, but Mariel picked up something. Her ear twitched, and she quietly turned about to find whatever the noise was. Bright blue eyes picked out the being, and her tail did a quick fidget. And smacked against Airaka's leg. Airaka paused and glanced over her shoulder too look at the people... person... child? approaching. She blinked and turned all the way around to face the new comer.

Mariel looked from this person to Airaka and back to the person. She crept bit forward, then suddenly clapped her hands. This person had wings! That was different. She ventured a small smile at this person. Nothing more though. The person had called their attention to her suddenly, so Mariel continued to to watch her. She couldn't get in trouble for staring now, because the person had wanted her attention. Which was good. Sunshine good.

Ah, a d-corp child. This made things easier. They expected odd and strange things when it came to the children from there. She forced a smile, it really was too warm today and the fact her dragon had decided to play hide and seek on her didn't help.

"Hi, sorry I don't want to alarm you but my dragon is around here someplace. I just wanted to warn you in case he pops out somewhere..." She explained looking down to the mink child. Cute kid. She then looked up to the parent wondering briefly about how her first impression was on her. She did look threatening even if she wasn't trying to be. Her antenna twitched, her extra legs moves idly in place.

"Dragon...?"
Mariel cocked her head at the girl. She had never seen a dragon before. Actually, she would be quite happy to see a dragon pop out of the woods. Curiously, her sea blue eyes wandered to the woods. Right now. She blinked, but nothing happened. Almost mournfully, she looked back to the girl. She wanted to see the dragon, so she would help her? Help her find the dragon. It was a good idea. At least she thought so. She wandered over to the other girl, and stood directly across from her, with her arms stretched wide.
"I ... Help?"

Airaka hadn't been shocked by the girl in the least. Actually, she didn't appear to care. Instead she looked to be dumbly examining a bug on a tree. She did seem to perk up at Mariel's intentions to help this new person. Slowly she turned to face them. She watched them for a minute, before shrugging her shoulders, and turning back up that path.
"See you at the top," she said with a wave to Mariel.
And with that, the short red head began her trek up the hill alone. It didn't take that long before she got distracted by another piece of foliage or fauna on the path, though.

Mariel only gave Airaka a passing glance as she left, then looked back to the older girl. She closed her arms, and held her hands in front of her. Her blue eyes looked up at her with the most curious, innocent look known to man kind. This person had to let her help catch her dragon friend. She wanted to see the dragon friend.

That...wasn't what she had expected. She watched as the said 'adult' left. And felt a bit bad for the child. That person was looking after her? Turning to face the girl she looked down at her dumbly for a moment, before snapping out of it.

"Whats your name?" she asked huffily, keeping an wide eye out for that blasted dragon. She wasn't sure what exactly the kid was, but she was cute. Make a good tomboy. That innocent look would only get her so far.

"And yes you help find Hinder. He is big, and green and dragon like. can't miss him.." she muttered.

"Mariel," she answered quickly.
Taking a step back from the older girl, she looked over her. She cocked her head at her "shirt", and looked up into the winged girl's eyes. A flick of her tail and a smile came to her face. A wide, happy one. She was able to help find the dragon! What joyous ecstasy ran through her. She had always wanted to see a dragon. Well, at least since this person mentioned hers was missing. She liked this person. Turning around to face the woods, she stared intently, waiting for the dragon to come out.

Her eyes were getting blurry from staring at the green and without blinking for so long, so she finally turned back around to face the girl. There were actually a lot of big and green things in the area, and the only dragons she had seen were the ones in the colouring books supplied by the big guys. Mariel hoped that dragons weren't made of paper. That would be so very sad. She leaned forward a bit, giving her a questioning look. Where was this dragon? When she straightened up, the questioning look, was replaced with an expectant look. She wanted them to be able to find the dragon right now.

Eyeing the little girl who seemed more than eager to help her find the great big green lug, the girl seemed also a bit too expectant as she stared off into the forest as if Hinder would suddenly appear.

"We will have to look for him, he is playing Hide and seek. so he won't be that easy to find." she explained with a sigh. he thought this was just a game, but she didn't want him to hurt innocent bystanders or scare them anyway.

"Come on we will look in this direction since I already did a pretty good search over there." she said with a wave towards where she had come from.
"you would think something as big as him wouldn't be that hard to find...." she trailed off turning in the direction she had mentiond and entering the brush. She could find obvious signs he had been through though. Broken twigs, branches, looked like he certianly barreled past here as some point.

Hide and seek? This was a game? Mariel chewed on her finger, as she thought of this. Once, hadn't she heard about hide and seek from a book. Someone hid and the other on tried to find to find them. It seemed to make sense. And it seemed like a fun game. Mariel thought she could be good at it. But her new friend didn't seem to this so. She looked quite angry that her dragon was playing hide and seek. Mariel gave a nod though, understanding that she would have to look harder for this dragon. She fiddled with the buttons on her gloves, and curled her fingers into a fist, before opening them. This was going to be the most extreme game of hide and seek ever.

Mariel followed after friend as she started into the woods. She had to do more ducking and bush pushing then her, it seemed. Not to mention, stuff was getting caught in her long hair and her fur. Even with her hair in a pony tail, a twig still got lodged in there. She paused for a second to pull it out, when she noticed she was stepping in a dragons foot print. Jumping out, she eyed it for a second, before looking ahead and spotting more, and her friend much further ahead then the last time she had checked. Mariel raced ahead, being careful to not step in any of the foot prints. When she feel behind her friend again, she slowed down, just a little bit, to try to match her pace.

Zyanya was impatient, for as much as she liked little boys she didn't seem to hold the same regard for little girls, unless she could mold them into something somewhat like herself. The girl was slow, though as she looked over her shoulder to see her getting caught on many branches she sighed. Kneeling to observe a foot print she waited until Mariel caughtup.

"Why don't you get on my back? Maybe you can spot him from higher up." she offered sounding like she didn't care one way or another. This was as well if she was on her back she wouldn't get caught up so badly on the low branches. She knew the dragon tracks belonged to Hinder, they were very smudged as if he tore through here at a very high speed.

Mariel blinked up at her friend innocently, a finger in her mouth. After another second, she nodded her head. It took a bit of work to get herself up on her back, but she made it. She leaned against her friend's back, with her hands resting on her shoulders. If this would help find the dragon she could try. She looked to the ground, and a flicker of nervousness passed through her facial expression. Her friend was quite high off the ground. But her friend was counting on her, this was no time to be afraid. Her finger tightened on her friend's shoulders though.

She looked up from the ground to her new eye level, looking around for the dragon. There were less angry branches up here. She tried to shake some hair from her face, but her attempt failed. And she was definitely not risky enough to pull her hair from her face with her hand. So she quietly remained, ignoring the hair impairing her vision, trying not to bother her friend the best she can. After all, if everything worked out, she would get to see a dragon. A real life dragon. She would just have to keep her bright eyes peeled for the creature.

Standing Zyanya shifted her body weight so she leaned forward slightly, this allowed her to bring her arms around to her back to provide some sort of sitting arrangement for Mariel to use. Of course if worse came to worse she could always open her wings up and use that to somewhat impeed the girls fall to the ground.

Her antenna twitched as she looked around. Her eye sight was perfect, every detail not lost on her. "You see that trail of broken branches..?" she asked using her head to point in the direction she was talking about. "Tell me if they change direction." she continued as she grunted, shifted the girls weight again on her back before stepping forward. She was heavier than she expected... thoug she couldn't bring herself to admit it.

Mariel allowed herself to slump down a bit so she was using her friend's arms to sit on as her friend had wished. She felt closer to the ground this time, though when she wiggled her toes, there was still no ground beneath them. There was a quick intake of air, before she slowly released it. Her blue eyes rose from her friends back and up to her twitching antennas with curiosity. It took a lot of will power, not to mention the fear of falling if she took her hands off her friends back, to not reach up and grab one of the antenna.

Mariel instead decided on flicking her tail to match the antenna. This soon turned out to be a bad idea, as she felt her body shaking a bit. She had to lean back into her friend, trying to calm herself. Her friend had started speaking again, so she steadily lifted her head to see what was going on. Mariel's head bobbed a couple times, showing that she understood her friends directions. Her eyes focused diligently on the broken branches, an though her head shrunk back down when her friend was shifting the weight, it quickly returned back up to watch the broken branches.

Zyanya could feel the tensness in the little girls body. She wondered if she was afraid of heights...or just her. Well, she dismissed her last thought becuase if the mink was afriad of her why would she readily agree to climb onto her back?

A sudden crunching sound alerted Zyanya they weren't alone. Instinctively she froze on the spot. Like any good survival tactic if they didn't notice you moving you were less likely to survive....sure...if she was actually the size of a real praying mantis that could of worked... being white kinda made her stand out.

A roar caused her to jump slightly, as her dragon erupted out ot the foliage abruptly. Apparantly he was playing hide and seek as well lets see who I can scare game. Zyanya managed to keep her hold on the tyke on her back, she glared at her dragon though. Who had skidded to a halt a few feet in front of her.
